Excellent, Swift and Professional service from Next Day Spex!

Excellent, swift and professional service. This was my second pair from Next Day Spex, with high quality, variofocal lens, photosensitive tints, on the same prescription - both are brilliant, spoke to a human to make sure all was fine and, even with the added complexity, and a bank holiday weekend, the glasses order is in my hands, just the second working day after my order.
Can’t recommend Next Day Spex enough, unlike my experience with big ‘high street’ opticians…

Speedy delivery

I've ordered a frame, delivery was next day, I am happy with the service . One small recommendation is about the returninng of items ..
I had to call the retailer in order to receive my return authorization,
I found this a bit uncomfortable, as my phone is not with UK number.. and charges are higher...
Returns could be organised in a simpler way

I have read the reply from Samedayspex and unfortunately some of the comments mentioned are not correct.
First, I did not mention on the phone that the glasses were worn. They are in exactly the same condition as when they were delivered.
Second, the delivery was not the next day as promised and as stated in your reply.
Lastly, the quality of the frame appears quite cheap and not what I expected.
If you do not wish to accept the return, that is your decision.
However, I would appreciate it if inaccurate comments and promises are not made.

We offer a no-quibble returns policy on all our products, provided that the tags remain attached, in accordance with our terms of sale. As you mentioned during our telephone conversation, the tags were removed and the glasses were worn.

The purpose of the tags is to ensure that the frames are not used and then returned for a refund. They do not prevent customers from inspecting the frame quality or trying them on. For this reason, if you felt the frames were of poor quality, we would like to understand why the tags were removed and the product was worn.

We are sorry that you feel the glasses are of poor quality. However, we would like to reassure you that all of our frames are made from high-quality acetate.

For clarity, the total amount paid for your order was £31.99, which includes the frames, prescription lenses, and express next-day delivery. We pride ourselves for providing exceptional value and unmatched service.

Amazing service and aftercare 🙂

Amazing service and aftercare! Will definitely be using these guys for all my glasses going forward.
Initially used the service as required some prescription glasses for going abroad and arrived within 24 hours and had personal service selecting suitable frames as the ones I chose initially weren’t in stock for next day. Then managed to damage the glasses within a week of returning home by treading on them. I contacted them for advice and they send send back to see what they could do. Had an email next day saying they had managed to repair , no charge for this (bar postage) and posted back with 24 hours.

No messing on

No messing on, made glasses straight away, delivered next day and good quality.
At first I asked when I would receive them, got a response in 10 minutes and they followed it through. Excellent service.

Absolutely brilliant

Absolutely brilliant. I ordered my glasses at 2pm and paid for next day Saturday delivery. By 10.45am they were with me. The best vision glasses ive ever had! So grateful.

I purchased a pair of sunglasses

I purchased a pair of sunglasses, but unfortunately, they didn't fit well. I sent them back using tracked and insured mail, following the company's instructions, which cost me nearly £7. When my refund arrived, an additional £6.99 was deducted for delivery, bringing my total delivery fees to £14. It's disappointing that the delivery charges are so high, especially since the glasses weren't accurately represented on the models and lacked proper measurements. Considering the extra cost for the Royal Mail return, I will not be placing any more orders with this company.

Do not rely on next day promise.

I specifically used next day spex as I needed a replacement pair urgently as mine were broken. They did not arrive the next day as stated but the day after which was no good to me as I had left on holiday by then. I actually ordered on the Sunday and expected delivery Tuesday but they were not delivered until Wednesday afternoon. This was an issue at dispatch and not the delivery company. Very disappointed.
Edited response to reply - next day spex that aren’t next day unless you pay for a premium delivery service. I would say your company name is misleading. Maybe you should rename yourselves “Possibly next day spex”

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience; however, we do feel it is important to clarify the circumstances surrounding your order.

Your order was placed on Sunday 14th December at 9:00 pm. Our cut-off time for same-day dispatch is 2:00 pm, so your parcel was scheduled for dispatch on the next working day, Monday 15th December, and indeed it left on time

You selected our Free Delivery option, which uses Royal Mail Tracked 24. As clearly stated on our website, this service aims for next-day delivery but is not guaranteed. We also offer a guaranteed next-day delivery service via Royal Mail Special Delivery for £9.99; however, this option was not selected at checkout.

From our side, the order was processed and dispatched on time using the delivery method chosen. Unfortunately, guaranteed next-day services incur additional costs that we are unable to absorb when free delivery is selected.

On this basis we cannot see how we do not deliver what we promise and really hope you can reconsider your review.

We always aim to be as transparent as possible with our delivery options and appreciate your understanding.

Dear Samantha, in response to your edited review, yes if you want a service you need to pay for it, unfortunately this is how things go, we in turn have to pay royal mail to deliver a guranteed service and so naturally we have to pass this cost to you. If you are not willing to pay for a service that is guaranteed and opt for service that is not guaranteed, you are getting what you have paid for.
