Major safety violation

Worst experience ever. Flight NP80 Luxor - Cairo was delayed for over 4 hours with zero communication and fake excuses from staff. We took off with a different airplane and we had to seat randomly, as aircraft had other seat numbering. No new boarding passes printed and no passport control at the gate to anyone. !!! Most shockingly, the crew commenced taxiing while passengers were still standing in the aisles—a gross safety violation !!! To make matters worse, they ignored paid seat assignments and ground staff was dismissive. Unprofessional, unreliable, and above all, dangerous. Save yourself the trouble and fly with someone else.

6 Stunden Verspätung, ohne angemessene Versorgung

Ich hatte einen sehr enttäuschenden Flug mit Nile Air (NP 6397 von Düsseldorf nach Hurghada).

Der Flug war massiv verspätet und wurde kurzfristig von Düsseldorf nach Köln verlegt, ohne ausreichende Informationen oder Betreuung. Passagiere wurden mit Gepäck, Kindern und in meinem Fall sogar in Schwangerschaft völlig allein gelassen und mussten sich selbst organisieren.

Es gab keinerlei angemessene Versorgung – nicht einmal Wasser wurde kostenlos angeboten. Stattdessen wurden Snacks und Getränke zu überhöhten Preisen verkauft.

Die Organisation war chaotisch, die Kommunikation schlecht und die Unterstützung praktisch nicht vorhanden. Insgesamt eine sehr belastende und unprofessionelle Erfahrung.

Ich werde diese Airline nicht erneut buchen.

Unter aller wurde

Erstmal 2h Verspätung, das Personal hat die vordere Toilette mehr selbst genutzt um dort zu rauchen, und die Passagiere aufs hintere verwiesen.
Später hat die crew im bordfach den Teppich geholt und im Flieger nach mekar zu beten.
Klima im Flieger wohl auch defekt, war unangenehm heiß bei dem 5h flug.
Nicht zu empfehlen der Verein.

Aviones viejos, rompen maletas y asientos destrozados

Aviones viejos, asientos rotos e incómodos. Sólo dejan los aseos de la parte trasera para 180 pasajeros mientras que los de delante se los reservan para la tripulación. El 21 de marzo 2026 en el vuelo NIA7318 las azafatas mujeres se pasaron las 5 horas de vuelo charlando sentadas tranquilamente en los asientos delanteros y un compañero tuvo que decirlas que se pusieran a trabajar. Comida pésima. Y para culminar, en el vuelo de vuelta el 28 de marzo 2026 NIA7318 nos rompen una maleta y no se dignan ni a responder a los emails de reclamaciones!!!!

Da passt gar nichts

Schmutzig, verspätet, Personal war während eines Nachtflugs unerträglich laut. Das Flugzeug kam leer aus Ägypten. Dem Personal war es nicht mal wichtig ihren eigenen Müll wegzuräumen bevor wir einstiegen. Nie mehr wieder

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Nile Air.

My flight NE21 from Luxor to Cairo on March 6, 2026 was cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, causing significant inconvenience and disruption to my travel plans.

Since then, I have tried to contact the airline multiple times via email and phone, but I have received no response at all. The phone line is not being answered, and my refund request remains unresolved.

This level of customer service is unacceptable. I am still waiting for a proper response regarding my refund and any applicable compensation.

I hope Nile Air addresses this situation promptly, as ignoring customers is not acceptable.

Missed connection, extra costs, and no response

I had a very disappointing experience with Nile Air.

Our booking included a connection from Sharjah to Milan via Cairo. The first flight was scheduled to depart at 08:35 but actually left around 18:00. Because of this major delay, we missed our connecting flight to Milan.

As a result, we had to purchase new tickets at our own expense and also pay for accommodation, transport, and visa arrangements for our entire family, including a baby.

On top of that, we had paid extra (150 AED) for preferred seats on the first leg. At check-in, we were told those seats were actually business class and could not be assigned to us, so we were moved to standard seats. This made the journey with an infant very uncomfortable.

I have contacted Nile Air multiple times requesting a refund for the unused flight segment and the seat fees, but I have not received any response.

Very poor customer service and no accountability. I would not recommend this airline based on this experience.

Slechte ervaring

Wij vlogen van Cairo naar Luxor (1 uur vliegen). Maar onze vlucht had 5 uur vertraging en er werd niet verteld waarom. Een paar dagen later vlogen we weer terug van Luxor naar Cairo en ook deze vlucht had ook een uur vertraging.

Crew schläft während des Fluges vor der Ausgängen und in den ersten beiden Reihen

Wir sind mit Nile Air von Kairo zurück geflogen. Direkt nach dem einsteigen in das Flugzeug sitzt der augenscheinliche Kapitän unseres Fluges in der ersten Reihe, der Sitz komplett zurück, sodass man kaum bis garnicht in die 2. Reihe einsteigen konnte. Die Besatzung daraufhin freundlich angesprochen und als Antwort bekommen: „Der Kapitän kann machen was er will!“ Direkt nach dem Start wurden diese staubtrockenen Sandwiche gereicht. Immerhin gab es Wasser dazu, immerhin alles kostenlos. Dafür wäre jeder Cent zu schade. Als alle versorgt waren, hat sich die nahezu gesamte Besatzung in die ersten beiden Reihen gesetzt, bzw. gelegt. Zudem war die vordere Toilette für Passagiere den GESAMTEN Flug gesperrt. An den hinteren Ausgängen ebenso liegen die Besatzungsmitglieder auf dem Boden und sind am schlafen. Bei aller Liebe, und ja es ist Ramadan, aber ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass dies erlaubt ist. Ich habe schon unzählige Flüge hinter mir, auch nach Afrika, aber so etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt! Ich muss dafür leider einen Stern geben, da weniger nicht möglich ist.

Compagnia Pessima

Questa è la seconda volta che recensisco questa compagnia aerea. Il motivo è che abbiamo ricevuto conferma da parte di AirHelp che la nostra richiesta di indennizzo è stata rifiutata.

In partenza da Bergamo abbiamo subito tre posticipi rispetto all’orario iniziale delle 17:15, fino ad arrivare alle 00:40, causando l’annullamento della visita serale al Cairo.

Anche il trasferimento da Cairo ad Assuan ha registrato un ritardo di due ore. Per il rientro al Cairo , inoltre, siamo stati costretti a cambiare volo, sostenendo una spesa aggiuntiva di 74 €.

Sconsiglio a tutti i viaggiatori di scegliere questa compagnia: non si sa mai con certezza quando si parte e quando si arriva e, soprattutto, non è nemmeno così economica come sembra.

5 hours delay on a flight cairo-milan. No service, no support, no compensation, scarce information. The plane had Cambodian airways logo and it was dirty and old.
One two positive points: meal was offered during flight, and the cabin and check in luggage was jncluded in the tariff.

Discrimination and Gross Mismanagement Regarding Pet Transportation

am writing this to formally complain about the unprofessional treatment and systemic failure I experienced with your airline on February 16th.
The Situation:
Before booking my ticket, I contacted Nile Air to confirm if I could travel with my pet. I was told it was permitted, provided I called 48 hours before the flight to confirm, as the aircraft type might change. I prepared all the required vaccinations and legal documents accordingly.
Call Center Negligence:
Exactly 48 hours before the flight, I started calling at 10:00 AM. I received no response until late afternoon. When an agent finally answered, he wasted significant time repeating instructions I already knew. While he kept me on "hold" to add the pet to my ticket, he suddenly claimed that—at that exact second—another passenger had booked the only available pet slot.
The "Upgrade" Scam:
The agent then told me the only solution was to upgrade to Business Class (triple the price of Economy) to take my pet. I went to your office, where the employee there mocked the situation, speaking loudly to the call center agent in front of me, condescendingly stating that the upgrade cost "was a huge amount" as if to dismiss my ability to pay or my right to a solution.
Discrimination at the Airport:
On the day of the flight, I was shocked to find a non-Egyptian passenger boarding with two pets. When I confronted the airport supervisor, he insisted that "only one pet is allowed by law" and assured me they wouldn't both board. However, the laws were conveniently broken for them. They were allowed to board with two pets, while I was denied my single pet slot despite:
1. Having a confirmed Economy ticket where a pet slot was actually available.
2. Having all my pet’s documentation perfectly ready.
3. Following every single rule Nile Air provided.
Conclusion:
It is clear that "laws" and "quotas" are only enforced against Egyptian citizens, while foreign nationals receive preferential treatment and exceptions. The call center’s delay and the office staff’s unprofessionalism led to me being forced to leave my pet behind.
I am documenting this experience to warn others. This is not just a service failure; it is a display of bias and a complete lack of integrity. I have photographic evidence of everything mentioned and will be taking further action.

Kompliziertes einchecken

Kompliziertes einchecken, es wurden Namen aufgerufen und der komplette Check Vorgang unterbrochen. Absolute Unfähigkeit von Organisation.. dann ins Flugzeug total schmutzig ein über 20 Jahre alter Flieger extrem enge Sitzplätze.Flug war extrem holperig und Personal war aufs nötigste beschränkt.. nie wieder

No way! 3,5 hours of delay and they don’t offer compensation! In Europe even cheap flyght company offers economic compensation till 600 euros for delays more than 3 hours, in Europe they take care about passengers rights!!

Flug hatte Verspätung Familien mit Kindern wurden vorgezogen beim Einchecken, Sitzplatzreservierung wurde da nicht beachtet wo man aber bezahlen muss.Im Flieger war es heiß und das Personal war sehr unfreundlich. Auf das Klo dürfte man im allgemeinen vorne nicht.Die Lunchbox wo man bekommt ist auch nicht gut aber ja das ist Geschmackssache. Werde mit dieser Fluggesellschaft nicht mehr fliegen.
