Most negative reviews are probably from people who have never done Matched Betting before. It works but it does take a little bit of learning. Once you're through all the sign up offers and know how to use their service & tools, it's one of the best side hustles you can do anywhere. Might not be for everyone but it definitely works - I'm up £13.5k after 18 months all thanks to Matched Betting and Oddsmonkey.

One thing to highlight to the OM staff is that I found the Oddsmatcher is not as good as it used to be when it comes to finding matches. (markets like Correct Score, some of the specific sports like Darts etc.) Might be a data supply issue but it currently feels like I'm paying the same amount of money for the tool that's returning less data than before.

OddsMonkey/OutPlayed/BetConnect are all they same company. Matched betting is not what it used to be, the offers after sign up are pretty poor these days and with the model OddsMonkey provide then you will lose all you're bookmaker accounts very quickly. This is why they have went to Mumsnet to advertise in the hope of getting vulnerable people to subscribe. The value betting tools are cloned tools from another service. They do not provide 3rd party verification of these tools nor can they provide true figures for them and this is because they cannot tell you the calculations and are flawed. The staff support a bully and mob culture in the forums and community and if you speak out against them you will be banned from the community. They will ban you for not breaking any rules in order to shut you up. You will still be charged for the full access subscription even though getting banned removes the full access. The site is corrupt, the value betting tools and service are from theft of another service. Avoid the money grabbing corruption that OddsMonkey/OutPlayed and BetConnect clearly are

The betting sights listed to sign up to place restrictions on them so you can't sign up to them . I only managed to open one account, so very disappointed.The concept is good but in reality doesn't work.

**Unethical and Disappointing – Avoid at All Costs**

I had a deeply frustrating experience with OddsMonkey. Despite never saving my card details on their site, they retained them without my consent and continued to charge me annually, even though I had stopped using their service. No email confirmations, no receipts, no invoices—just silent deductions.

The only reason I discovered the charges was because my credit card company flagged a statement balance. To my shock, it was OddsMonkey taking money for a service I hadn’t used in ages.

When I contacted them immediately, they refused to issue a refund, citing a 14-day cancellation window. But I was never notified of any renewal, let alone given a chance to cancel within that timeframe.

How is it acceptable to charge a customer without notice, then deny a refund because they didn’t cancel something they weren’t even aware of?

This kind of practice is not just poor—it’s unethical. I strongly advise others to stay away.

Great customer service and earnt some decent money even as a casual better.

It works... but be careful. If it goes wrong, it can go very wrong.

I'm giving it 5 stars because it is a very good tool, and provides some good opportunities to take advantage of free bets quite effectively. Generally if you stick with the free trial and basic ones they list you'll be fine, and it does exactly what it offers well.

But after that (This can easily become a hobby), it's a lot more fiddly, and you have to be very careful of odds changes, and use the right tools to off-set those changes. It can get quite complicated, and as I said, it can go very wrong.

The basic ones go like this:
To get a free bet, you will likely say have to deposit say £50 and bet it on something, and do a matched bet on the other outcome(s), usually requiring a significantly higher amount to get similar returns, minimalise the loss and get a small loss either way regardless of the result. If you use the tool, that loss can be as little as £1-2. Then you get the £50 free bet, can bet it in the same way with the matched bet and counting the small loss get as much as £47-ish (Counting both losses) of it as free money to put into your bank. Sometimes there are extra steps before you can withdraw but even then you should get at least £35 of it.

Now the obvious thing here, is bookies don't like this for obvious reasons. They mostly will turn a blind eye for a while, but likely will ban you if you do it a lot, or sometimes only a couple of times. For the more advanced things they also have a few ways of trying to trick the match betters, causing them large losses.

It's trustworthy, but use at your own caution.

The instructions provided in the free trial do not work. Firstly, the odds aren't up to date, which means that bets placed will not match the forecasts.

Secondly, after following the instructions provided, I have LOST money to both SkyBet and SMarkets, approx £25-30 total.

I had signed up for this service because I was struggling for cash, and instead have been left in a worse position than when I started.

Steer well clear - you WILL lose money. I'm just glad I only signed up for a free trial, and not a full account!

UPDATE: In response to the below reply, I can confirm I had already spoken to customer service, whom I had to request multiple times to close my account. Also, I am a Professional person who holds a 1st Class Hons degree from a Russell Group uni - so the implication that I lack the intelligence to follow instructions is, quite frankly, insulting.

Awful customer service. They hide behind a policy they don’t even stick to. I was told it had been “nearly two weeks” since payment, when it hadn’t — they just made that up to justify refusing a refund. When challenged, they offered no proper explanation or solution, just repeated the same lines.

They’re quick to quote policy when it suits them but don’t enforce it fairly or consistently. No escalation, no accountability — just poor handling and zero customer care. I’ve been charged for something I couldn’t even use. Absolute joke of a service. Avoid.

I have been a member for 8 years so it's definitely not a scam. Joining the FB group is a must for all the help you will get from the admin and other members.
BUT things have changed recently and you can get banned just for making an innocent post as i was recently which will mean missing out on offers and making less profit. I'm disappointed that you never replied to my email Monika, i hoped you might have been able to help me out by lifting the ban.

Their website cannot be trusted. They took money after I cancelled subscription. I contacted them and they said I didn't cancel. I contacted them as soon as I noticed (just 2 days after payment was taken). They are still refusing to refund me!! Very strange and looks like a fraud website. I don't understand I have not even visited their website that much and don't have the intention ...I clearly told them and they can also see it but still they are refusing to give back the money they WRONGLY CHARGED BECAUSE OF ISSUE WITH THEIR WEBSITE. Scammers, absolute scammers! Stay away from these scammers! I had canceled my subscription, and now I receive an SMS that they have stopped my money without my knowledge, and without my permission. I can upload a screenshot of the email that confirms that they have canceled my subscription. And now I see with bewilderment that they have stopped my money. Absolute scammers!
