Outstanding service
Without a doubt, when we visited Oka in Harrogate,last weekend, the one thing that made our experience so amazing, was Sam. She couldn’t have done anymore to help us. She took the time to find out what we were looking for and was genuinely keen to make sure we were able to look at all options and combinations, coming up with ideas that we hadn’t even considered. She then went on to continue looking for pieces that she thought might work for us and contacted us a few days later. I can honestly say, it’s the best service we have experienced in a store, for many years and it’s so refreshing to find it actually still exists! Thanks again Sam and we look forward to our next visit.

Great customer service.
We have been shopping in the Harrogate store for years and always receive a friendly welcome. The staff are all friendly, professional and helpful. Particularly Emma, Fleur, Carole Zoe and not forgetting Sam!
Compared to Neptune where we found the service very cold and aloof.

An absolutely fabulous shopping experience!
We called in OKA per chance and received a lovely welcome from all the staff. The shop is a delight to walk around and gave us some great ideas for a lounge refurbishment. Carole was superb and very knowledgeable and a was a joy to have her professional advice. We left with several items!! A great experience! Would highly recommend!!

Zoe at the oka Harrogate store was…
Zoe at the oka Harrogate store was utterly brilliant.
Zoe really looked after me, she spent a lot of time going through colour schemes, selections of cushions, floor lamps and lamp shades. I can tell she loves what she does, it really comes through.
I found her advice invaluable.
I felt like I was shopping with a friend. We were having a giggle about how I’d have to hide my purchases from my husband too :-)

Excellent goods/services - remove delivery charges
I love OKA and have shopped there for many years. I’m lucky that the Harrogate store is only a 7 minute drive away from home so have plenty of opportunities to pop in for a browse, which more often than not ends up with a purchase!
The people are always really helpful and know when to come and chat or leave you to it. The store layout is also very inspiring.
My big issue is the addition of a delivery charge and it’s an excessive charge…unlike other retailers the more you buy the more you pay 🤔. This new policy has definitely reduced the amount I buy from OKA. The reason for introducing it I’m told is that people would order lots of items and then send them back. If this is the case why not waive the delivery charge for your VIP customers who have shopped with you for many years and don’t abuse the system… and waive the delivery charge if items are delivered to store. I understand there is limited storage, so agree a day that the customer has to collect for free, otherwise charge them - problem solved!
I’m waiting OKA to see if you read your customer reviews and if you do what you have to say!

We’re sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding our delivery charges and can confirm that the reason for implementing the tiered fees is to reflect the cost of picking, packing, and transportation. Like many businesses in our sector, we’ve faced significant increases in employment costs, the National Living Wage, and fuel prices and we still cover a substantial part of the delivery cost ourselves.
Your comments are extremely valuable, and we will share them with our retail and customer experience teams as part of our ongoing work to improve the customer experience and to review, internally, the alignment of our communication.

Samantha was so helpful and patient . We wanted a floor lamp but there were so many to choose from. She took the time to show us many options of bases and shades until we found the perfect one. We are extremely happy with our choice.

Saw a light fitting on the Oka website, rang the Harrogate branch to ask a few questions and asked if the fitting could be put to one side to be collected later in the day. The girls packaged the light up and I collected within a couple of hours. Fab customer service. Really lovely, helpful girls in the store
