I've been reglazing my frames here for nearly five years. They have never let me down. Also they reply to emails quickly if they're is a delay.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering

I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. The worst customer service I've come across. I emailed and left voicemails on their answer phone numerous times to chase up the order. There was virtually no communication or update at any point, just one brief email to say they would look into it. I had to open a PayPal case nearly 3 weeks later and only then did they send a rude email telling me that my lenses would take 3 weeks due to being special. I had no idea this would be the case. It was just a normal reading prescription. They then told me I had wasted their time as PayPal refunded me and that my lenses were just about to be posted. I suggested I pay again if that was true but they never replied.

If anyone is considering ordering, make sure you pay through a method that gives you strong buyer protection because you may well need it. I would never use this company again. Incredibly rude and unreliable. This is not how you run a business. If they had just been bothered to reply to my emails, I'd have been happy to wait longer!

As we explained to you many times in emails, the delivery advice on the website is guidance as all glasses are bespoke & we cannot predict what customers will order or their prescriptions & because you added additional lens options, they are not just 'normal reading glasses' and the lenses have to be ordered in and specially made and therefore take longer to make.
Below is the 1st email we sent to you which is certainly not rude.
Hi Em,
Thin lens glasses are a 2/3 week delivery as is explained on the product page -

Delivery:
We will dispatch your glasses within 3-5 working days, complex prescriptions or lens requirements may take up to 14 working days for delivery.

All as expected

The ordering process is clear. It helps if you understand your prescription and know what you need and want. The glasses I received were exactly what I wanted. Service was a bit slow, but I caused some of that by mistyping a detail - which the sales person queried clearly and properly.

Sports glasses for football

Ordered some sports glasses for my son for football, 5 days after ordering, got an email asking if I could send a copy of prescription so they could check?, everything was fine, after another week and half of not hearing anything, I emailed them for an update, they replied they had to reorder the lens as they had damaged them putting them in, received them yesterday eventually,all good, but it's took 5 weeks from 1st ordering them, maybe not the best if your in a rush.

Thank you for ther review. In response to the delay, the prescription in the sportsglasses are high and less than 5% of the population have such high powers and therefore to glaze them into a wrap sports frame is challenging and at the limits of what is possible when glazing, most companies wouldn't even offer such an order. They had to be made more than once but I can assure you, you will find it difficult to find another company to do what we did, and at the price you paid, but we appreciate your review, kind regards, OOUK

Excellent service

Excellent service. Lenses are perfect and the process was so quick and efficient. Would definitely recommend Online Opticians UK and im now about to send them a second pair to replace the scratched lenses in those glasses. Thanks for a first class service.

I ordered a pair of glasses in…

I ordered a pair of glasses in September only to be told after a month that my order went into the Company's spam folder. I then cancelled the order and after another month have still not received a refund for the glasses I ordered. Do not use this company as on Companies House their accounts are overdue and this company will probably go bust. Be warned.

I absolutely love them

I absolutely love them, they fit great ,wish I would have had them with light reactors now .Oh well when I have my next pair I will have them included, plus I think it's called blue light

Buyer beware, takes an age and they do not communicate.

Buyer beware, purchased two weeks ago, website said 3-5 days, they eventually replied and said that it takes up to two weeks (small print I guess), I was told they would be sent out either last Friday or yesterday and that there would be an email, they failed to do so. They also have not updated their order which still shows it has not been processed despite them assuring me it has been. The phone number just goes to answer machine which they do not reply to, also they occasionally reply to emails but you have to just keep sending them to get a chance at a reply.
If you do not mind waiting weeks to months (see some reviews here) with little to no communication or updates, then this is the place to come.
I wouldn’t have minded the speed if there had been updates and I really really do not like to be lied to (promised dispatch by yesterday). Just go elsewhere, even if it costs just a little bit more, you won’t regret it,

Hi Chris, we don't normally respond to customers with 'creative writing skills' but also, we don't appreciate half-truths, so I will address your comments with facts:
You ordered glasses with thin/high index lenses on the 3rd November 2025. Your 1st email querying delivery was on Thurs 6th Nov - we replied to you within 2 hours stating an expected delivery of 2 weeks & why it is so.
Your 2nd email was on Sun 9th Nov late afternoon, we are closed on Sundays but replied to you midday Monday 10th Nov, stating a similar reply as above.
Your 3rd email was on the Thurs 14th Nov - we replied within 45 minutes, with a similar reply again.
All your emails had fast replies with clear details of expected delivery of approximately 2 weeks with many links to such delivery details on various pages on the website.
I can also confirm, as you already know, the order was delivered on Nov 18th 2025 - the same day you wrote this nonsense review, delivered in only 12 working days.
And, as you haven't returned them, we will assume you are 'happy' with them. Addressing your comment - 'website said '3-5 day'….(small print I guess)'. Here's the actual full sentence of which you edited most of it out for what I can only assume was for dramatic effect.
Delivery: We will dispatch your glasses within 3-5 working days, complex prescriptions or lens requirements may take up to 14 working days for delivery. This sentence is written on every single frame page, including the one you ordered from, no small print, as you can see, 1 long easy to read sentence.
Referring to the basic tone of your review, I think I've covered enough of your 'feedback' However, it’s clear your comments don't reflect the actual version of events which I find quite unfair to say the least/unlawful at worst. You should also be aware that is against the law to make untrue comments in a review/online, and I would advise you to think twice in future and be mindful that you may find yourself facing legal action for making false statements. If you can't state the actual facts, don't say anything at all.

DON’T USE - skipped court mediation - court next

UPDATE: The court scheduled mandatory mediation as part of my claim. Online Opticians UK did not attend the mediation session. The matter has now been listed for a court hearing in June 2026. I made multiple reasonable offers to settle out of court, all of which were rejected without any counter‑proposal.

REVIEW: I sent my glasses to Online Opticians UK for reglazing. The company acknowledged an error with the lenses and agreed in writing to correct it. I returned my frames as instructed.

I was told the corrected glasses had been dispatched by Royal Mail 24‑hour tracked delivery and should have arrived by 16 October 2025. I did not receive them. No tracking number for the corrective dispatch was provided despite repeated requests.

Royal Mail has confirmed in writing that there is no further information on the tracking for this shipment and that, because it was sent on a business account, only the sender can make enquiries or claims. The tracking shows mid‑network movement only and no delivery or attempted‑delivery events.

The company promised a refund in writing, but it was not provided. After multiple attempts to resolve the matter directly — including calls, emails, and a formal pre‑action letter — I was unable to reach a resolution and issued a county court claim.

My frames were not returned, a promised refund was not paid, and my efforts to resolve this were met with no substantive engagement on the evidence or the claim.

I would recommend keeping clear records of all communications, tracking, and transactions if you use this service.

All pretty much stating poor service & him taking legal action - make your own mind up about this individuals veracity - we won't waste any time on the reply but others have and they typically dispute his version of events, as do we, usual half truth 1 star reviewer

Good website, easy to order. Glasses arrived within 2 weeks of ordering. Glasses are good quality and as per prescription. Very happy!

Well what can I say

Well what can I say ! This company is awful, ordered glasses ( just for reading so nothing special) waited 6 weeks, still no glasses. Emailed and called loads of times, finally got a reply and said they would be ready in 3 days….. still didn’t turn up. Another week trying to get them to reply via email. Cancelled order and the said money would be refunded on the Friday, 3 weeks later nothing , not replying to my emails.
Had to get Natwest to step in and get my money back !
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY 😡
Reckon most of the positive reviews are fake
