First hat wasn't the correct size but they were quite excellent in fixing the mistake. Have had the hat now for over a year and love it. I've received many complements on the hat while out and about as well.

The first hat was a cuenco; that experience was good enough that I decided to upgrade to a better panama. The first one came though with the box badly smashed. USPS would not allow me to inspect, so I refused shipment. PHD then said I should have accepted delivery. In any case, many weeks later, they shipped me a replacement.

After several years and not excessive use, the crown of the good hat is cracking.

The customer service was efficient and uneventful. I have purchased six or seven hats over the last few years from PanamaHatsDirect and I've had no issues with the delivery or the quality of the product. The hats were received as represented in the online photos and descriptions. I think it goes without saying that I must've been satisfied if I returned as many times as I did.

Worst value ever. It started falling apart immediately. It cost me 135. I bought one in Ecuador a couple years later for 18.00. It's still in pretty good shape.
