I bought a Panasonic Bread Maker…
I bought a Panasonic Bread Maker SD-YR2550 in June 2024 to make spelt bread. It developed a fault about 6 weeks ago. It has been taken to their repair centre but there is a delay in obtaining Panasonic parts. I have contacted Panasonic customer support. One agent simply disappeared after 5 minutes on the phone. Another has passed my case on. I do not know when this will be resolved. In the meantime I am buying artisan bread which is very expensive.

I bought 2 of their 55" Android tv's on Amazon. before 10 months was up they both developed the same faults, no response from the remote control, blank screen for 10 minutes at a time. tv crashes and loses wi-fi connectivity on a regular basis. Contacted Panasonic customer services 8 times trying to get a repair, they kept telling me one had been booked, but the repair company kept saying they had received no job order from Panasonic. I will never buy another Panasonic item again. Rubbish customer service.
What ever happened to Panasonic....for…
What ever happened to Panasonic....for in my recent experience they dont give a stuff for customers. We bought the Panasonic Combination Genius Oven on December 31st 2024 Yes just 3 months ago. The chrome has started to come of the grill rack, exposing what looks to be a copper core. So I contacted them today (3rd April 2025) and "E" chatted to an agent called Isla ( No idea if it was a real name ) All very sorry I am sure I can sort this out for you. She asked what the problem was . Then asked me to take a photograph of said issue. When I did that and it was plain to see, she then asked me to take a photo of where the microwave is used and one of the inside. So I duly did that and I know they were trying to find fault with "me" so they could pass the blame. When that wasnt working I was then asked ( Honestly I have a transcript ) What did I cook in it, what temperatures, on what receptacle. I pointed out that none of that was relevant as it is a 3-1 combination oven that supposedly can cook anything pretty much. As it happens it does work really well it is only the issue with the grill rack. NOT ONCE did she/he/it offer any sort of solution other than offer to help me buy a new one.. Seriously can you believe such rubbish dressed up as customer service. Why on earth would I want to replace a 3month old, over £300 appliance. Not only would I not buy another one, I will never ever buy anything Panasonic ever again. Moreover I will make sure I tell anyone I know or anyone who will listen, just how bad Panasonic are treating their customers. They should as a very minimum offered me a replacement grill rack.
I purchased a top of the line microwave…
I purchased a top of the line microwave with a five year warranty . It broke down towards the end of the warranty period. Panasonic referred me to their agents. It took over a month for them to collect and after several weeks came back with additional faults. After much discussion I agreed to have their agents collect again . Three weeks later I get a call saying it’s fixed but will not be delivered for another week. Panasonic refuse to acknowledge e mails and will not respond to a complaint . If I could give a negative star rating I would
DON'T BUY THEIR MICROWAVES!
Don't bother buying one of their microwaves. Bought one Nov 2023, not even 16 months of light use and it started sparking inside. Told it's too dangerous to use, but it's outside of their 1 year warranty so they can't do anything about it. I don't think it's acceptable for a microwave to be not even 2 years old, and to be so damaged it's a fire hazard. My last microwave (not panasonic) lasted 4+ years.
Panasonic (utter rubbish company)
If it were possible to award zero points I’d give zero to Panasonic UK. It is a horrible company to deal with. Having purchased a Panasonic Microwave less than 4 weeks ago the device stopped working. After over an hour and a half providing photos, detailed explanation of what I was trying to cook, serial numbers, store receipts, images of the wave guide deflector?, and tons of personal details they said before they could provide an “uplift” voucher to get the microwave replaced I’d need an invoice. Sainsbury’s (where I purchased it from) don’t provide invoices.
After telling them this they “couldn’t help”!
Absolutely rubbish company

Had trouble registering the TV on the website. After a bit of trouble I managed to do it. TV works really well. Looks good and easy to set up. Will see how it works over time.
Panasonic UK dissolved in 2023
I have ordered a DVD (unfortunately before checking the reviews on Trustpilot) which has a Panasonic 5 working day maximum promise of delivery, so due tomorrow in theory.
Not having had any communication since purchase I called Customer Services in Romania who tell me that the DVD has not been despatched, despite it being in stock, and promises it'll be 'escalated'. Based on the reviews here this is meaningless.
I'll give them 2 more days and then ask Paypal for a refund.
I can only assume that since the UK arm was dissolved in 2023 (due to Brexit) and now appears to be based in Holland service has become a black hole.
Update: I decided I wasn't going to wait so 11/03/25 contacted Paypal to ask them to retrieve my money... within an hour of Paypal asking Panasonic by email 'what is the problem' I receive a notification from DHL that they are WAITING to receive a parcel from Panasonic.... sorry, too little too late. The notification that they are means nothing, in reality.
The parcel should have arrived today at the very latest, according to the Panasonic website ....if they wanted to save the sale they should have let me know they had a problem.
I have bought (and installed) a new DVD from Richer Sounds, made by a British company called Majority. It has a better 3 year guarantee and is cheaper! I should have started with them in the first place.. lesson learned.
Further Update -12/03/25: So having obtained the parcel from Panasonic DHL claimed to be delivering it today before 8pm.
No courier visit occurred and, at 8.22pm, an email notification arrived that they have delivered the parcel to someone called Lynn?
Between the two of them... what a **** show!
Replaced a 3 year old Combi Microwave
My 3 year old panasonic combi microwave failed. Have had a frustrated search for new one as not built to same standard. Eventually bought new one same model as like the way it works. Have returned it after 2 days as the grill stays on in convection mode, so burns everything not good
I would not recommend buying anything from them!
I purchased a water flosser two weeks ago but changed my mind and haven’t opened it yet. Unfortunately, I was too late to cancel the order. I contacted customer service, and they informed me that they don’t usually refund water flossers. I explained that the product is brand new and unopened, and even sent them pictures, but received no response. I followed up by calling multiple times, and each time they assured me they would get back to me, but still no response. This has been an absolute scam. I would not recommend buying anything from them—it’s a waste of time, energy, and money.
Reading customer experiences of their…
Reading customer experiences of their products bought from Panasonic Can I just say that you're ALL WASTING YOUR TIME as every time you ring customer services and think that you just might get through to someone in the UK think again! As Panasonic in Berkshire UK which have two huge
offices MAXIS 1 & 2 DO NOT have Landline numbers (even though the number in the user manual says Panasonic UK phone number) And if as I did sent x 2 letters to Berkshire one of which was signed for next day for zero response from them! So when you do ring you'll ALWAYS be directed to Transylvania in Romania or some other such place you will get constantly fobbed off by Mike Bill Dave Kate Jim or whoever none of which are English and be told 'Its because of misuse, user error, it's your fault, the device/unit is fit for purpose, and we will not refund/replace and you will go round in ever decreasing circles until you disappear up your own you know where! EVEN IF IT'S BRAND NEW as was the case with a Combination Microwave I bought and received from Panasonic Direct on 2/10/24 (and which has been packed back in its box since 13/10/24) after finding a fault with it after being used for just 7 minutes! They will suggest (as in my case) 'you can have the unit inspected by our authorised service centre' which for me was North west appliance Repairs (NWAR) in Preston and if you read reviews you wouldn't have them inspect a teapot! OH! the collection/delivery will be paid by YOU which is in excess of £90 and if they don't find a fault you will be further charged! I sent 50 emails and made as many phone calls to Panasonic and got NOWHERE! So decided to contact Halifax Bank on 12/11/24 re: Section 75 This was activated on 26/11/24 and after sending copies of these sent/received emails/videos/scanned copies of letters that were sent to Panasonic Berkshire along with screenshots of reviews on this platform & NWAR reviews & spending hours on my laptop uploading them over weeks The Halifax bank have decided:
'Under Section 75 we have to establish whether the merchant has breached or misrepresented a service. Therefore, based on the documentation provided, I cannot accept that a breach of contract or misrepresentation has been proven, as it appears the merchant have fulfilled their contractual obligations by requesting an inspection to be completed to determine if the fault you are experiencing is from a manufacturing defect or not. This response was received on 13/12/24
Clearly Panasonic have sweet talked The Halifax Bank and they have taken sides with the big company not the little customer! And because I haven't had the appliance inspected for reasons highlighted above and after a follow-up call today 23/1/25 the case is basically closed!
So folks what I would suggest is certainly if the TV/Bread maker/Microwave/Radio is dangerous a trip to the local tip may be in order otherwise trade it in for a broody Hen and write it off as a bad experience! Buy your products from any other maker Sony Samsung LG Sharp Beko Toshiba Kenwood Swan Tefal Bosch or whoever but DO NOT BUY PANASONIC PRODUCTS AS ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY WASH THEIR HANDS OF YOU AND YOU WILL JUST BUY A WHOLE BUNCH OF STRESS AND HEARTACHE!! And Panasonic won't be bothered by these reviews (see how many responses there are)! as they will still sell 1000's of products and then the -tve reviews on this and other platforms will continue to grow! And if you think 'maybe these 100's of reviews could be wrong I'll go buy a Panasonic product'? Might I suggest taking your cash and deposit it in the nearest bin or post it in the nearest grid outside your home!!
Date of experience: 02 October 2024
Update 2/3/25
The above was my experience of Panasonic and their customer service which is as you're all aware is abysmal!
After getting fobbed off by both Panasonic and my banks Section 75 I have unpacked the microwave (18/2/25) and decided to start using it again despite the gap in the door and noticed also today 2/3/25 that the turntable works intermittently in that it jerks round and takes 15 secs to make 1 full rotation! This microwave oven has been used for a total of less that an hour since 2/10/24! There's no point in ringing Panasonic UK and speaking to Judy Dave Mike or Ben in Transylvania as they will just fob me (and you) off again and they'll suggest you get the item checked by their authorised engineers to look at it to decide that there is nothing wrong with it! And don't bother contacting Panasonic Berkshire as You've got more chance of turning into a pineapple! Just accept that Panasonic UK..Sorry Romania and their CEO Mr Yuki Kusumi are laughing all the way to the bank because mugs like us continue to buy this rubbish which ultimately will end up at the recycle centre ! All you can do is spread the word so that hopefully Panasonic will GO BUST!!

Panasonic and John Lewis
I purchased an all singing and dancing PANASONIC MICROWAVE from JOHN LEWIS in July 23. It roasts and grills as well as microwaves. In January I noticed the door has dropped about 8 mm and closes on its own, whilst I take food hot food from the oven.
I complained to John Lewis whose company arranged for Martin Dawes to collect it for testing. Martin Dawes tested it and said nothing was wrong and the door is not guaranteed. I contacted John Lewis who advised I go back to Panasonic.
Panasonic now say there is nothing wrong with it even though the door has dropped and I sent them a video of it
What a waste of money. The door can only open by pressing a button. The door moves up and down and there is nowhere to tighten the hinges.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Reported a faulty item, and they deemed it wasn't faulty, without even testing it!
Steer clear of Panasonic, they are a joke. Looking at other reviews on here, I'm surprised they get away with such poor practices.
Avoid. Purchasing direct from Panasonic UK was…
Purchasing direct from Panasonic UK was a massive mistake. Lots to comment on but they have wasted hours of my time already avoiding their basic legal responsibilities to offer a refund under UK consumer distance selling laws.
In essence they either don't understand their obligations under UK statutory law or they have an internal policy that actively obfuscates it to deny the customer their rights. I asked direct questions to them about their obligations under distance selling regulations and their responses consistently avoided the uncomfortable reality that the position they held was not legally defensible. Shameless.
It baffles me the reputational damage they are willing to sustain fighting over simple transactional matters set out in UK law.
I've had more reasonable and productive conversations with the bread maker than I got out of the 'customer service' team. Genuinely the worst customer service response I've had in living memory.
Please avoid Panasonic. It's no longer up to modern standards and doesn't respect it's obligations under UK law.
Next steps are visa take back through the bank or small claims court. Utterly shameless trading practice.
Panasonic SD-2501 Breadmaker
SD-2501 Breadmaker
Small plastic latch (not fit for purpose) on the seed dispenser broken. Not available, seed dispenser £30 plus for complete dispenser just for a latch costing pennies. Machine cost over £200.
Panasonic come on, look after your customers.
Faulty Combination microwave
Bought a Combination microwave. It went faulty in warranty and went for repair Came back still faulty and out of warranty. Customer service is non existent. All they would offer was another repair even though their own repairers said they couldn't do anymore. 6 weeks later and still haven't got a my microwave back.
sound bar…
Purchased a sound bar only had it 4 days and it stopped working ,very poor quality ,cannot recommend this company.
Panasonic, terrible customer service.
purchased a 55" led TV which instantly had a problem, tried everything they suggested until in the end I requested a replacement item, their customer service is terrible and I am still waiting to return the product due to poor communication and a disregard for common sense, do not buy from them direct like I did, if you want their product buy through someone like Amazon. I won't be touching Panasonic again.
