To charge $27.50 for a transcript is insane for a school that is closed. That is a ripoff. Most transcripts are $15 at the most. I'm not sure why this one was so much.

I really hate parchment. I sat on hold for 30 minutes! No one answered the phone! Trying to order a high school diploma online is a joke! They asked me for a DID and a student ID number! That was over 30 years ago! How the hell should I know? Live chat is another joke!

I am extremely dissatisfied with Parchment’s handling of my transcript request (Case #13865478). I paid for an electronic transcript to be sent to a school I planned to attend, yet the transcript never reached the intended recipient.

Initially, Parchment’s support instructed me to contact the sending institution myself. A few days later, the status update indicated the transcript had been “sent directly from the sending institution,” meaning I had to manage the process myself despite paying for a service that should have been handled by Parchment. My original request was never properly completed, and the receiving institution still has not received my transcript.

This level of mismanagement and lack of accountability is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this service, and I will not use Parchment again. BEWARE—do not assume your transcript will reach its destination.

The actual ordering was fine as far as I can tell, but as soon as I used their service, I started getting 5-8 spam calls a day, almost hourly. I didn’t use my phone number anywhere else new that day, so it seems like more than a coincidence. Would not be surprised if they’re selling people’s data as soon as they get their hands on it. There’s no way to talk to a real person on their site, so I’ll be reporting them to my college, who uses them for transcript ordering.

Calling parchment= calling India. Parchment is useless, they don't notorize or apostile diplomas. Absolute useless customer service and services in general.

Incompetence at best, how is this company even still doing business, its been 6 months and I have not received my diploma that non sense download is not accepted in my country , I need the actual hard copy, the first document was send 16th sep and 2nd Dec 2025 , still haven't received it and they do nothing , the worst customer service ever

Just even ordering a transcript meets the spinning wheel of death. Then they cancelled my order before trying to confirm the missing information. Ask you for information and then cancel within minutes. Then you have to figure out how to hack an order once again. Use your phone. DuckDuckGo and my phone brought up their rickety service. Who knows if it will actually work this time? With the national clearing house, you don't have to create an account that includes your shoe size just to order a transcript.

I clicked on my school to submit my transcript. The page then changed on me and charged me for a school I already ordered. I did not notice this until it did it again.

I immediately reported it and asked to cancel the double transcript. Parchment took two days to get back to me and said it was too late.

Parchment messed up. Parchment delayed. Parchment denied refund and blamed the user. Awful experience.

I wish I could give a 0. this service is terrible, confusing, and does not allow you to view your own information unless you pay. This is ridiculous. I pray parchment will be removed from all schools.

I paid the price of a house to get my degree. The fact I have to pay $20 for each limited time electronic copy of my own records is digesting. Somehow worse than an insurance middleman.

Charged me $8 for an official e-transcript that, when downloaded, is watermarked with "unofficial transcript" on all the pages.

I ordered my transcripts to the Georgia Board of Nursing. Weeks later, the GBON has not received them but Parchment refuses to do anything except say "electronic results can take 4-6 weeks" This is not true as I have had other transcripts and electronic reports sent without any delay as they are electronic. Parchment refused to escalate my concerns and frustrations after I called and chatted agents. This company is a scam and simply takes your money.

Schools need to stop using Parchment for transcript services. They are unreliable and unreachable. I sent my transcript via mail and waited 4 weeks to hear back. I had to contact THEM to find out that my transcript was returned to them due to an incorrect address, despite the address being correct. Instead of fixing THEIR mistake and sending a new one, they made me pay for ANOTHER one. Terrible company.

I had a great experience with Parchment. My school, ITT Tech, was closed down, so I had no idea how I was going to get an official transcript. Parchment made the process simple and stress-free. The instructions were clear, the website was easy to use, and I received updates every step of the way. My transcript was received without any issues in three days. I’m extremely grateful for this service and would highly recommend Parchment to anyone needing records from a closed school.

I never received my transcripts, and did not get instructions after paying for them. I paid for them three times and tried getting in touch with customer service--which basically just said that I should have received them and they would not assist me or give me a refund.

Waited 5 months and got nothing.

I made a typo in the email address I used to send transcripts. The email you type in IS NOT VERIFIED by parchment. So they'll just take your money even if it goes nowhere. I asked for a refund or for them to resend to the correct email and was told it was already processed and would not be possible.

It sucks... A lot

A score of one is too high. The school states parchment is the only method to acquire a transcript. The website lists 4 steps and dead ends at step two.
