Seeds Not Sent - No Refund Offered

Ordered 2 varieties of seeds beginning of January 2026. Order was supposed to be fulfilled within 3 weeks. After waiting almost 3 months to receive the order I only received 1 of the 2 seed varieties ordered. No mention OR communication of the 2nd variety upon delivery. A few weeks later they finally contacted me to let me know the other seeds would not be coming and instead of a refund they offer me 30% off my next order and the "discount" is only good for 30 days. If you messed the 1st order up so badly WHY would I consider giving you a 2nd chance?!?! Shame on you Park Seed! You need to focus on a better Customer Experience. You certainly earned this review!

We’re sorry for the long delay and for not clearly communicating about your order—that’s not the experience we want anyone to have.
To clarify one point, we don’t charge your card until items ship. Because the morning glory seeds were never shipped, you were not charged for that portion of the order, which is why a refund was not mentioned and we offered 30% off your next order.
That said, we understand the frustration of waiting and then learning an item is unavailable. We should have communicated sooner and more clearly. We’re also actively looking into ways to better identify orders that are waiting so we can ship available items sooner and keep customers more informed throughout the process.
Your feedback is being shared with our team so we can improve how we handle backorders and notifications. If there’s anything further we can do to help, we’re here and ready to assist.

I purchased several seeds and a few…

I purchased several seeds and a few live plants on 02/16/2026. My seeds arrived on 02/23/2026. The live plants were in a different shipment. I paid the order in full when I first ordered. When I logged in to find out where my live plants were, I see a message that I needed to pay a partial payment of $56.13. I contacted customer service and they explained authorized and captured payments. Anyway, I paid the extra $56.13. After a few weeks and well clear of any frost, I contacted the company to see when they would ship. I was told 2-3 business days. It has been 2 weeks and no shipment. I logged in today and see it still pending shipment and a partial payment of $56.13 due! I just sent a follow up email to see what is going on becuse it is going on 2 months no shipment and being asked to pay another $56.13. Here in Texas we only get so much of a spring before it gets too hot. I let them know it was already in the 80's and 90's. I received a shipment from another company in February and it is about to bloom. One of them was the same plant I ordered from this company. It is about to bloom while I still haven't received anything from this company. I wish I would have known about the shipping issues with this company before ordering.

When an order is placed, we do run a credit card authorization, which may show on your account. This is not an actual charge and typically falls off within a few days. We only capture (charge) payment when items ship. It sounds like something didn’t process as expected here, and I’d really like to take a closer look for you.

I love that the seeds are packed in…

I love that the seeds are packed in foil they stay fresh and if I leave them in the garage or barn, the mice leave them alone. The variety to choose from is really nice. And I’ve never had a bad batch!

Plant not dormant but dead.

UPDATE:
Thanks to trust pilot someone from Park seed reached out to me last week and immediately shipped me a new plant it arrived today in fabulous condition alive and well and I just got through planting it!
Happy customer.

So I ordered four different things from them this year early March like March the 2nd. In this order I ordered a behemoth hosta, which arrived dead. I don't mean just dormant I understand what dormant is I have plenty of experience with ordering. I mean the roots of shriveled and the top node Crom turned to powder in my hand. There is no way in the world this could have been inspected before it was shipped.
I have tried emailing the company I have tried calling the company twice day I stayed on hold for 21 minutes according to my call log, before I was disconnected.
So that tells me they're not likely to issue a refund or try a new plan replacement. It also tells me they have zero customer service skills. I won't make this mistake twice.

Best Quality Out There

After decades of selling seeds, plants, and gardening supplies, Park Seed continues to offer the best quality products. My only concern is the rising costs, which probably can't be avoided. Although I can't afford to buy everything I'd like, if I need something that absolutely MUST germinate and/or survive, I buy from Park Seed.

I gave it a 3 mostly for the high cost…

I gave it a 3 mostly for the high cost of shipping. A 4.95 item cost 7-8 dollars to ship. Second, I purchase Coleus Chocolate Covered Cherry and no germination. I also purchased Giant Exhibition Coleus and had 100% germination. I'm a small-time gardener and have no need to order enough to qualify for free shipping.

I’m also sorry to hear the Coleus Chocolate Covered Cherry didn’t germinate for you—especially when your Giant Exhibition Coleus had 100% success. That tells me you’re clearly doing things right. When you email, I’d love to hear a little about how you started the seeds so we can better understand what may have gone wrong. We’re happy to send replacement seeds as well.

I ordered online on Feb 2 & received…

I ordered online on Feb 2 & received immediate confirmation & a charge on my credit card. On Feb 16 the ordered still had not arrived and the online tracking system didn’t work. I called & she found my order which had not shipped yet. She said I could expect it within 2 weeks. I said, no, I’ve already waited 2 weeks and after some discussion she agreed to expedite the order. It did arrive on the 18th. thank you. However, if I hadn’t called, I don’t know when it might have shipped or if it was just lost. No explanation was given on the delay. I’m still waiting on one item that apparently is on back order but I only learned that when I checked the packing slip after the order arrived. Poor communication!
I’ve used your company for years for my vegetables & flowers. It is disappointing to experience this level of service.

Your shipment was delayed because Zinnia California Giants was temporarily out of stock, which held the order. When you called, we were able to release the available items and expedite them right away. We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to not know what was happening, and we apologize for the lack of communication.

The good news is that Zinnia California Giants is now back in stock, and we’ll be sending that out to you very soon.

Seeds are not always very viable, low germination rates!

Occasionally the germination rate on the seed packages are poor, under 50 %. I have a greenhouse and I’m have a Horticulture Degree. Also you send me too many Texts and emails. I’been a customer for many years and like your products. Prices are starting to get out of control, seed packets have less seeds.

The individual seed tray biodome material is sponge-like and presents challenges when using the medium in planting. Sponge material tending to resurface when watering, piping out of the ground.
