Happy with the 2 bags I ordered, but beware, this is a fake company. I submitted an order and the first message was it would take 10 to 12 days to hand make my bags. Two days later I received a message that my bags were being shipped from China. Glad i only paid $90 per bag - good bag for $90, but not Happy with the fake front in selling made in China products.

I'm sad that I only recently found this workshop and in the process learned that he is closing the business. My father passed on a strong appreciation for quality leather goods and I just couldn't pass up the amazing "business closing" deals.

My new bag is beautiful and very unique. My daily carry is a Tumi backpack (which I adore) and while it's stylish, anyone with an eye for accessories will see this one from a mile away. Striking yet elegant and a size that I think is perfect.

TLDR: Bag is mass produced in China and not artisan crafted. Quality is decent. Jury is out on long term value.

I made an impulse buy for a bag that had a "too good to be true" story. I strongly doubt that there is anyone named Paul Richard. This bag was shipped (and manufactured) in China. I ordered the bag in early December and it took almost a month to receive. Communication from the seller was ok and was responsive when I asked questions about the shipping. That said, here is what I think of the bag. The canvas seems solid. The leather straps are ok, but we'll see how it lasts over time. I have doubts that the straps are genuine leather. You can smell fresh leather and it takes a little breaking in. This doesn't have any odor, and the straps are already very pliable. The stitching seems sturdy. The cloth liner is ok, but I wonder if it is a little thin. We'll see how well it stands up over time. All in all, a mixed bag, pardon the pun. I paid $99 with free shipping. Time will tell if it was worth it.

The bag was designed beautifully and with great detail. It match the description perfectly and was shipped timely and with care. Would definitely recommend for personal use or as a high end gift.

Your delivery company has not gotten me my backpack. Tracking number 12799. They claim it was delivered this Morning January 4th. I have a concierge that is at the front desk 24/7. I am frustrated. Kamal Ariss
It is now 1/13/25 and I finally receive this backpack one month after I ordered it. Poor craftsmanship and poor customer service.
I have been trying to return it but do not have a way to do it. After two attempts of reaching out to them to get a return address and refund They keep trying to have me exchange it for another of their products with a slight “fee” for it. Do not buy anything from this company.

The Paul Richard Company's advertisements have mouthwatering pictures of bags, rucksacks large and small, all beautifully crafted and presented. The thing is, I found that it was all true! I could not be happier with my bag, especially that scent of leather that hits you as you open the safe triple packaging! It's handsome, too. Pale sky blue and leather brown go well together. Perfect.

I haven’t received my bag after more than a month! Still waiting!

The bag i received is beautiful. I'm concerned about the second one I ordered on the same day. There has been no tracking info since December 17th and today is January 4th. Please help ease my mind.

Paul Richard doesn't exist- and if he does, he's a 12 year old Chinese girl in a sweatshop factory working for a dollar a week. Scam FB pop ads, with a phony warm hearted story about Paul closing his artisan American made business. That's complete bullshit. Shipping is tracked from China, and because of that- took forever to arrive. When it did arrive it was a complete knockoff of a leather bag. Canvas, and "pleather" at best. A piece of shit. Do not under any circumstances deal with this phony, bullshit company. And good luck getting no answers from their "customer service". A complete joke of a company.

My bag has not arrived. The marketing on the website makes it seem that the bags are handmade in America. However, the shipping tracking shows that it started in China. And, I was supposed to have been delivered, yet has never arrived.

I'm disappointed in Paul Richard. He sent me some amazing backpacks for my wife and me, and they are phenomenal! So well made and beautiful. However, he promised me a 50% discount if I wrote a positive review, After I wrote it, he offered me a $50 discount. This bait and switch tactic just caused him to lose my business. It's unfortunate, because I was planning to buy a lot more from him. Just know what you are getting into. (Paul, I'll change this review if you honor your word).

Nice bag, but NOT made by hand by a local craftsman..It's made and ships from CHINA. Very deceitful marketing....
