Interesting that Sandra Kay Johnson’s pup is January 2027 pet of the month. The calendar layout I received shows my Doberman, Roman, as January 2027 pet for the month. Looks like a scam of sorts to me!

Thank you for taking the time to share your concern. We completely understand why this might seem confusing at first, but don't worry, this definitely isn't a scam. There are only 12 months in a calendar, while we select more pets than there are available months from the thousands of wonderful submissions we receive. Because of that, it's completely normal for different calendar editions to feature different pets in the same month. Roman's selection is genuine and isn't affected by another selected pet appearing in January in a different edition. Congratulations again on Roman's achievement, and thank you for being part of Pawidols!

Very fun and exciting! Love seeing all the animals and meeting new people. Keeps you on your toes. The only thing that I do not like, you have to have money to win anything. People with money to spend win all the time, because they can afford to buy votes! Most of us can't afford it. So we can't win. It's still fun just to participate but I really wish they could come up with a better way to do the voting.

Love seeing all the different animals in the contest. I ordered a calendar for the 2026-2027 calendar because so far 2 of my dogs I've entered has been picked for the calendar my dog Fancy she is the first one who got picked for the November spot. My American hillshir red nose pit bull warning a wig. And then my 8week puppy roy boy got picked for the January spot for the 2026-2027 calendar.
