My recent claim was easy.
I had to make a claim recently and it was straight forward and quick. It was easy to see the claim progress on the Insure Hub. My dog was x rayed at one vet surgery and then referred on to a specialist vet for emergency treatment. I wondered if this might make the claim more difficult but it was no problem. 10/10

Brilliant
After changing insurance companies at the beginning of the year, I had no idea we would be making a claim so soon. Our Patterdale had other ideas when he got his face stuck in a barbed wire fence… one emergency vet’s visit later and we were submitting a claim.
Having previously only ever used petplan I don’t have much to compare it to. They were brilliant. The online portal was simple to use, and our claim was resolved and paid back to us before he had his stitches out.

Very helpful support staff member when I made a mistake with my registration. Was told my rescue dog was a black labrador was actually a Labrador cross german shepherd. Staff member was easy to understand patient and waiting on hold wasn't long.

I have been looking for pet insurance for a few months but found most of them were too expensive. Someone suggested PDSA insurance. I got a quote and checked for direct payment to the vet if anything should happen, and they do pay direct. Got great cover for a reasonable price. Worth giving them a try.

Support for ongoing medical condition.
Our dog has an ongoing medical condition which the vet is helping us manage trying different approaches.
The PDSA have been incredibly helpful and supportive during this process.

The socks maniac
The user manual for our beautiful golden retriever puppy didn't say to keep him away from socks. The little tyke, aged 3 months, decided a pair of my regular socks was much tastier than his food and swallowed them. We first had to rush him to our regular vet for the initial investigations and once cause for suspicion he did have a large, solid, foreign object had been confirmed we had an endoscopy done immediately at a larger vet hospital. The financial damage was significant! Both claims were raised by the vets to PDSA and to their credit, both were immediately passed without any issues.

As good as Petplan
Have just taken out pet insurance for my Cockerpoo puppy the process was really easy and I’m very pleased with the cover I am getting
Have previously been with Petplan with my other dog but found the PDSA were giving the same type of cover I wanted for a much better price
So overall very pleased
