Failing logistics : Ok for UK, not for other

Pediwear calls on Parcelforce as a transportation provider. Sometimes it's ok but they are not able to manage when some issues come with the customs (for international shipping).
Finally they ask their customers (me, and you potentially) to figure out the problem by your own. Then I give these two advices to you :
1 - try other shop (e.g. Herringshoes, Upper-shoes, or directly to the manufacturers Crockett, Church's, Tricker's, Barker, Sanders,...)
2 - otherwise you pay with Paypal to keep the order cancellation possible.

Conclusion : good products but unable to deal with international shipping issue

I am disappointed to read your review, although I am not surprised. You threatened to discredit us on social media during the PayPal dispute, and you have proceeded to do so, deliberately mentioning our competitors and leaving multiple inaccurate reviews. I would advise you that there are several important discrepancies which we seek to clarify for yourself and readers of this review.
We use a variety of shipping agents for our world wide distribution which we have decided upon based on their reliability and cost. It is not in our interest to regularly have problems with any of our shipping agents – and when they do occur we consider changing agents unless the issues can be resolved. We do not exclusively use Parcelforce. Where we do use Parcelforce we have found them to be reliable without evidence of any recurrent issues.
We also have to refute your allegation that we are unable to deal with international customs or that we leave customers to resolves these matters by themselves. We have been selling shoes world wide since 1999 and we simply would not still be in business with so many regular customers the world over if we were not able to handle simple customs issues. From my discussions with both manufacturers and rival sellers I know that we have all experienced increased issues with customs since Brexit. These issues are unlikely to be any better with our competitors, nor would our competitors be able to over rule French customs regulations as you repeatedly expected us to be able to do during our emails and the PayPal dispute process. You are aware of our multiple contacts with Parcelforce so it is difficult to comprehend how you could conclude that you were left to deal with this matter by yourself.
We are legally obliged to refund customers if parcels do not arrive, whether they pay by PayPal or credit card. At no point did we refute your right to a refund and indeed, we refunded you a full week before the PayPal dispute process was complete.
Whilst we understand your frustration at not receiving your shoes, we are saddened by your unhelpful approach during the discussions (you refused to make a single call to customs which would have likely resolved the matter) and your subsequent deliberate attempt to damage our reputation – despite having received your refund well in advance of the deadline set by PayPal.
We very much hope you do not encounter customs problems with whomever you choose to order with in future.

Just got my C&Jones hand grade shoes

Just got my C&Jones hand grade , very nice! Many thanks to David Anscomb for his great service. Initially send a different colour but David was quick to respond with a dhl send back. I thought of changing that to a hand grade which David was most obliging .I guess i turned that hiccup to a positive, and was very happy with their prompt and efficient service, they let me know all through the processes of ordering. Thank you once again Pediwear and thank you David for the fantastic service. Oh i was really surprised once again with the speed of the shoes arrival - took me by surprise!

Good customer service

Nice range of Saphir leather care products. Delivery was quick. One item received was wrong, but a quick email and they are sending out the correct item and allowed me to keep the original. We all make mistakes and it's how you handle it that counts.

I have a high degree of confidence ordering from these guys again in the future.

I think there is no better on line retailer than Pediwear

Since a year ago I have been purchasing my shoes from Pediwear.

The range is excellent and their prices are very competitive.

My last purchase was a pair of Edward James, Longwing Cordovan in Dark Brown. Excellent quality and the leather is smooth as silk.

They don't sell Berwick and I applaud them for removing this brand of lower quality shoes. This demonstrates a commitment to quality.

For good old fashion customer experience and very keen prices I think there is no better on line retailer than Pediwear.

I've never received customer service this good

I'm really not someone who writes reviews, but Nathan from Pediwear has been absolutely brilliant.

I emailed for advice before making my purchase and received an extensive reply. Nathan offered options without upselling, always keeping in mind that £400ish on boots was a big and rare investment for me.

The level of attention and responsiveness continued through to the point of sale and beyond, down to advice on shoecare, etc.

I am almost embarrassed at how gushing I've been, but I have never received customer service like this. I'll be expecting this from everyone now!

Great service from Pediwear

First time customer, great service

Purchased a pair of Solovair astronaut boots, was kept well informed of how my order was coming along, and delivery was very quick. Wee handwriiten 'with compliments' note in the box too, these small touches are nice. Thanks.

I purchased an Ashwood Pedro leather…

I purchased an Ashwood Pedro leather bag from Pediwear. The bag was great, just what I had been looking for as I use it for work.
Unfortunately the clasp on the main part of the bag was loose and looked incorrectly fitted.
I made contact with Pediwear. Simon couldn't have been more helpful. Mailed me a return postage label and I received a new replacement bag inside of 1 week of mailing the faulty one back.
Can't speak highly enough of this Yorkshire company.
I will definitely be back shopping with them.

Ordered a Tilley T3 Hat Natural

Ordered a Tilley T3 Hat Natural,
Had an email the very next day from Simon
at Pediwear, stating that they are expecting a delivery from Tilley in the next day or so. And that my hat would be in that delivery, true to their word. Had an e mail two days later stating my order had been updated to dispatched. Saturday morning my hat arrived absolutely fantastic, pediwear's service is second to none. I couldn't find the hat cheaper anywhere online + free p+p a very happy customer indeed.

system does not say at start of the process if the goods are in stock

I ordered and entered payment details for some shoes and was advised that my order would be confirmed in a further email , I ordered on 9 December and confirmed as out of stock on 11 and there will be a delay until late January. This wasted my time. I think they should have a system that tells you at the start of the process if the goods are in stock and then you don't need to waste time entering details and waiting months.

Excellent on-line but also personal service. Good price too!

I ordered a Tilley Hat LTM6 AIRFLO Broader Brim on-line and received an automated acknowledgement saying I would receive a personalised response shortly. This duly arrived saying there would be a very slight delay. The delay was, indeed brief, and the hat arrived, well but not overly packed, by tracked delivery. The price for this item was the lowest I could find even though it was difficult to locate the size, style and colour I sought. Well pleased customer!

Excellent & service at a good price - fully recommend.

I live in The UAE and ordered a pear of Loakes Chelsea boots, I phoned before ordering & was informed they were out of stock and that there would be a small delay. I went ahead & ordered - everything went extremely smoothly & my boots turned up in perfect condition 2 weeks after ordering. The price was the best I could find from various suppliers. Definitely recommend.

Some problems occurred but their customer services were handled the problems pretty good

I have ordered the C&J Hallam shoes in city sole version from them. However, they sent me the wrong shoes. I have sent it back to them. However, they are sending me a new one by using Royalmail service instead of DHL for international shipping which will cause more delay (it has already been 2 weeks delay from the first delivery schedule). They claimed that it was the confusion of new staff. Because of their mistakes, I have to wait at least another week to receive the shoes.

During this transaction, I have sent many emails back and forth with their customer service. Their customer service seems nice but not so professional because they kept repeat doing mistakes.

So if you want to order the shoes from this store, please keep in mind that you may face many problems before you get the shoes.

UPDATE (December 20, 2018)

After I sent them an e-mail complaining about the problem that occurred and I insisted that they should offer me discount or change the shipping method back to DHL otherwise I would like to cancel the order and get the full refund. So they decided to offer me discount in the amount of GBP XX. However, they could not change the shipping method because the package was already in the Royal mail possession. I decided to take their offer and wait for the package.

Once the package is arrived, I checked out the shoes and found some flaws on them (scratch and scuff). So I decided to contact them and request to return and get the full refund. The customer service worked on the return process very fast and apologize for the inconvenience that occurred. At last, I sent the shoes back and got the full refund back without getting any charges for shipping fees.

In conclusion, this transaction was quite weird to me and took me a lot of time. However, the customer service handled my case pretty good so I decided to come back here and update the review and change from 1 star rating to 3 stars rating for them.

Excellent all round!

I spotted a pair of Chukka Boots, that another shoe trader had on their web page. The price was better than Pediwears. However Pediwear have a Price match option with a 5% better price, than a bona fide comparable retailer. They honoured the price pledge in full. Pediwear rejected a first pair of boots from the manufacturer, due to a ‘fault’ and got an alternative pair from Northamptonshire . The delivery time was excellent, the packaging was superb. In addition to the shoes, there was a shoe horn and a suede cleaning block included. Excellent all round service, I would definitely recommend Pediwear as a retailer of quality Goodyear lasted footwear.

Amazing website with fair pricing

Amazing website with fair pricing. I m a returning customer and I would buy again. They answer to emails promptly and they have good return policy. I bought a pair of trickers and then got a discount for my other orders (shoes, wallet).

Overall a pleasant experience

Well, I was truly a little disappointed at first due to the delay in shipping my order as there was a high volume of Loake shoes being ordered. However, Pediwear’s customer service was top notch and responded quickly to my queries but definitely still need some improvements. For example, first notifying the customer about the delay etc instead of the customer asking. Overall still a great experience with good compensation of DHL Express delivery and high quality goods received. Pleasant company and highly recommended!

Despite some delays caused by Loake I believe, shoes has been delivered fast and well packed.
