Purchased Grensons boots that arrived …

Purchased Grensons boots that arrived with some scratches & damaged box. They did not accept that the box was important, like it was to us but did refund our return carriage fee & communications were good through out.

We are very sorry to hear about your views regarding this experience. I have read through all of the emails concerned. I can see that we have asked you to take some images of the problem and that when this did not help we asked you to return the shoes to allow us to investigate the matter further. It is not uncommon for us not to be able to see the full extent of problems from digital photos, and we are not infrequently only able to confirm customers concerns when the shoes are returned to us. If we remain in any doubt we often ask the manufacturer for a further opinion. Please accept our apologies if it seemed that we were trying to avoid responsibility for the problem. I think it was unwise of us to speculate regarding the possible nature of a problem that we had not yet seen or identified - and for any concern caused by this, I am very sorry.

Our team are away now for the Christmas break, and as far as I can tell we have not received your boots back. Once we have received them we will review them and be in touch. I sincerely hope I have managed to reassure you regarding our integrity.

Update 27th December

We have reviewed the box and boots. The boots are the same high standard we expect from Grenson - with only the variations we would expect in a handmade natural product.

The customer has been issued with a refund for the cost of the boots and we await a copy of the shipping receipt before being able to refund the shipping costs.

Great shoes and excellent service

I ordered a pair of Solovair shoes from Pediwear on Monday, and due to it being the busy Christmas/New Year period, I did not expect the shoes to arrive as quickly as they did. The service and communication have been excellent and I also appreciated the hand-written note in the shoe box. The shoes were also cheaper than what I would have paid elsewhere. Overall, I am very happy, and I would not hesitate to order from Pediwear again.

Exceptional Service

I bought some Barker shoes through Pediwear 18 months ago and the service was very good.

The reason why I have decided to write this review so far after the event is I had an issue with the shoes no fault of Pediwear or Barker but the way they have gone out of their way to assist me in resolving this problem has been outstanding and I couldn't recommend them enough for their service and customer care

Poor - but excellent response to error

I ordered a pair of Barker shoes from Pediwear last week.
£195 so not cheap.
In their defence, the order was fulfilled promptly and they even threw in free polish and a shoe horn. However, this was completely overshadowed by the fact they sent me entirely the wrong shoes. The box had the correct label on it but the shoes contained within were an entirely different style and colour.

Pretty poor service for a company that styles itself as a provider of high-end shoes. Awaiting their customer service response now but currently disappointed with my experience.

Update:
per the mail below, Pediwear have very quickly recitified their error. Impressive customer service ethos.
Assuming that the correct order will now arrive, I have upgraded the review to four stars.

Thank you for your review and for taking the time to mention the positive aspects of your experience. We can only apologise profusely for sending the wrong shoes. This is a very unusual situation, I cannot recall it happening previously. Our team check all items before despatch, but they do not routinely check to make sure the correct shoes are in the box - given that this is not something expect nor have experienced with Barker or any of our other high quality manufacturers. However, it is a simple matter to check that the label in the shoe matches the label on the box so we will ask that this be checked in future to avoid a recurrence.

However, we of course appreciate the frustration that this error has caused. I understand that Stephen has replied to you this morning and has arranged for the correct pair to be sent, and of course we will refund the return shipping costs along with an offer to help compensate for the inconvenience.

I hope that we can reassure you that this is highly unusual and that it wont discourage you from ordering from us again.

The Pediwear works very bad lately.

I placed an order on January 21 two pairs of shoes a Sebago Cooper and a Sanders Salisbury. Consultant contacted with me and informed me that the shoes Sanders Salisbury will be ready only in 2-3 weeks. I confirmed that I wanted to keep the entire order and ready to wait the Sanders Salisbury. Shop despatched for me shoes Sebago Cooper immediately and I waited shoes Sanders Salisbury, but almost 7 weeks have passed and my order was not executed. I checked the card account on March 10, and I saw that shop withdrew the money for shoes Sanders Salisbury. A letter came in my email later which informed that the store despatched for me the Sanders Salisbury. My order was not executed at the stipulated time. Why did Shop withdrew money from my card 7 weeks later after the order and has it not contacted with me before performing this operation? It's just disgusting work shop Pediwear! I did lot of purchases in this store, and the store was better before.

Thank you for leaving a review and telling us about the problems you have had. We are particularly concerned to have upset a regular customer of ours. Unfortunately it seems that the Salisbury took longer to arrive with us than originally anticipated. We can only be guided by the manufacturer in this respect and I hope you would appreciate that it is out of our control when manufacturers take longer to deliver goods than they originally advise.

However, I do agree that we should have kept you updated in respect of this problem. It is our usual practice to email customers once a delivery becomes over due and I am concerned that this did not happen on this occasion.

If you do not want to receive the Sanders shoes you can simply refuse to accept delivery when the courier tries to deliver the shoes. They will then be sent back to us at no cost to you and we will refund the cost to your account as soon as we receive notification from our courier that the shoes are being returned to us. I will email you to confirm this information.

Whilst I do not thing we did as well as we could with your order I do hope you will now better understand what has happened?

I Bought first time in Pediwear... what I can say - a good service , many patience from managers and fast delivery .....and I've got a pair of fine shoes!!! So I may advice this shop to all .Next time I'll purchase shoes here again.
