I have been taking Akkermansia and…

I have been taking Akkermansia and Polyphenol Booster together every morning for more than a year to fix my gut issues. I have seen improvements in my skin and constipation. I used to suffer skin rash constantly and tried many topical treatments without success. Finally fixing my gut issues with Pendulum probiotics is the key to my ongoing health struggles.

I'm super happy withy pendulum pre- and pro- biotics. Gut health is critical for so many things! I trust pendulum because of the scientific rigor they apply.

Feeling Great!

Not really sure why the reviews are not better than this. My experience with Pendulum has been very good. The products are exceptional. I’m on ZepBound, have lost 31 pounds, and feeling great! Largely, I believe, because of the Pendulum supplements. Off the shelf probiotics don’t measure up at all when compared with Pendulum products. I highly recommend them.

I started taking Pendulum Glucose…

I started taking Pendulum Glucose Control in 2021 and though I wasn’t expecting to, lost 20 pounds (I’m assuming due to the product supporting my metabolism and reducing my sugar cravings). I stopped while I had back-to-back pregnancies. In my second pregnancy, I gained 60 pounds. I lost 30 pounds in the first 3 months postpartum. Then, I started taking Pendulum again (this time with the Polyphenol Booster) and am now 7 months postpartum and nearly back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I have to say, I’m glad to be back on it and impressed with how it helps my digestion, metabolism, and overall immune system.

This product has changed my life

This product has changed my life, literally healed my hiatal hernia and stopped all my acid reflux. I wouldn’t be without it. The Polyphenol is a booster and works great! I’ve also had great customer service- easy to skip shipments and suspend them if you’re traveling! Love this company!

Cannot get refund & subscription cancelled

I saw a Video of a Dr. William Li, a Top World Renown Doctor & researcher of what foods & supplements to take & eat in order to both help get well & recover Cancer patients of which I am battling with two types at this moment. I saw a video of Dr. William Li holding up a bottle of Pendulum Akkermansia Probiotic & then I placed an order . Exactly a week later I saw another Video of Dr. William Li stating that he has recently been the subject of some deep fake AI Commercials for products that he has NOT Endorsed at all. Turned out that this Pendulum brand was one of them! Then yesterday I received the order & it was for 2 different products, both one for the Akkermansia probiotics & one called Polyphenol Booster & I was not only charged $70. -But also they have set me up for a monthly subscription now& I cannot get anyone live to answer their phone customer service support. I am already a severely disabled senior on a tiny once a month income & am barely able to afford my medicines & foods, but I have Not even opened up either of the products boxes they come in & I would like my money to be returned back to my original method of payment & to be cancelled permanently from their monthly subscription service. I don’t know what to do now. I cannot get a live customer support agent to answer my phone calls & attempts to resolve this & get this taken care of immediately. Please can anyone help & assist me?

Maybe check BBB before buying

I was able to cancel my subscription in time before I received a second delivery BUT I HAD TO DO IT FAST when I got the email telling me it was on the way soon.
You have to be SO CAREFUL on the website because the default setting is to create a subscription and you have to look at the top of the price list and CHOOSE "One Time Purchase" or you get signed up for 3, or 6, or 12 months.
I was going to order again but saw there are complaints at
BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU
And all of them are about things like getting deliveries not ordered, or similar problems. I'm not sure I want to bother with this company again.
Also there are a lot of questions by professionals about whether it even works.
For the price... and the customer service problems...I don't feel like gambling

Unauthorised automatic monthly orders

We ordered one item for the first time. We received an email today saying we would receive our next order on 7th July and our card would be charged. When I looked on the website it had a automatic order set for each month. When I phoned the number on portal it said it was not connected. I had to go through and hit skip to every date that had the next month order listed. Hopefully the orders are cancelled and my credit card is not charged. I never signed up for repeat orders or gave them permission to charge my card. I have sent 2 emails so hopefully they respond and I don't lose any money. Very unhappy feel scammed.

Customer service nonexistent

I recently purchased a 3-month supply of @pendulumlifeco probiotics. For some reason, the order was abruptly cancelled along with the membership, and nothing was ever shipped out. On top of that, I now have a $245 charge on my card for which no refund has been issued. To make matters worse, I attempted to reinstate my membership and place a new order, but cannot get the new customer discount using an influencer’s discount code. I have reached out to hello@pendulum[…] and cannot seem to get a response. On their website is an AI chat feature that can connect to a live representative. However, the split second the agent enters the chat, the chat is immediately ended.

Please understand that if you ever need customer service for this product, you are literally on your own. No human will ever respond.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Gave it a few months to see initial results. After 3 months it seemed a bit better so I continued with it, but that was very short lived. Does not help reduce hunger and I have more intestinal gas and bloating now after 4-5 months than I have had in my life. If it works for you, I truly believe it is a placebo effect and good for you, then keep it up. I simply do not find that the cost is worth the results. I am done with them.

Very very hard to manage subscriptions

Very very hard to manage subscriptions. Have tried contacting them via email with no response. Have ended up removing my CC details so that my orders decline instead of cancelling my subscription.

Challenging to cancel subscription...

The business tries to stop you from cancelling your subscription by redirecting you multiple times when trying to cancel. After three months +, I found no relief in my IBS-D symptoms and it initially increased my severe stomach pain and vomiting.

My doctor recommended that I try the Pendulum Probiotic Akkermensia for my IBS-D symptoms. I struggle with nightly severe stomach pain, nausea, chills, vomiting, and bone pain. Initially, I was caught off guard by Pendulum's subscription service as it seemed sketchy, almost like Herbalife. Since my doctor recommended it, I went ahead and started a subscription.

Within the first two weeks of taking the product, my symptoms and pain amplified which some reviews said may happen. I continued for another three months but my symptoms are still ongoing without change so I decided to cancel.

When I logged into my account, there was no way to cancel my subscription. I went through the help menu, nope, it doesn't give you a way to cancel. I clicked "help chat" and was told it was a 10 minute wait due to heavy volume. Finally a prompt came up from "Dave". No dialog at all, a text came through that said, my subscription was inactivated.

Horrible customer service!!!!! Packaging looks like someone's home garage business. Truly, if you can connect with doctors at a high level, why the heck wouldn't you create a business model that has integrity, customer experience, and quality. I wanted to really love this company but it just feels shady.

Disappointing Experience with Unrealistic Money-Back Guarantee

I tried the GLP1 Probiotic for two months, hoping it would reduce my cravings. Initially, I experienced soft stools for a couple of weeks, but after that, there were no noticeable effects. When I requested a refund under their money-back guarantee, I was told it only applies within 30 days of purchase. This policy doesn’t make sense for a probiotic, as it takes longer than 30 days to impact gut microbiota. I found this disappointing and felt the guarantee undermines confidence in the science behind the product.

I switched my account to 60 days and 30 days later I was billed without any notice. I also received products that need to be refrigerated that came with fully melted ice packs and I made sure to be home day of delivery. Very skeptical about this company.

Overpriced snake oil with science veneer

The product is temp sensitive yet ships with no ice packs. My package felt about 90 degrees when pulled from package. Since I work at a lab I figured I would look for signs of live culture - there were none. When I reviewed the literature around akkramansia it became clear that even if you get live bacteria they have reduced the cell counts in their products this year to ineffective levels. The single thing that makes me believe this is 10% science and 90% snake oil - Mayo Clinic funded Pendulum, Mayo Clinic was promoting and echoing the studies, and now the head of Mayo Clinic has an executive position in the company for the payout.

We’re sorry to hear that your probiotics were delivered a bit warm, and we appreciate the chance to address your concerns.

There’s no need to worry if your bottle arrives warm, the product is still viable. Our product is packaged in insulated material to ensure it’s protected from the heat as much as possible while in transit. The bottle also has an airtight seal to maintain the stability of the probiotic strains during shipment. We have conducted testing in an ISTA Certified lab in summer-like conditions, with temperatures between 71°F and 110°F over 5 days, and found that our probiotic strains exceeded our viability and AFU standards. We do recommend that you refrigerate your product upon receipt to maximize potency. This is especially important once the airtight seal has been removed.

Regarding the live cell counts, we measure live AFU viability with Flow Cytometry and all of our products are designed to meet the label claim AFU.

I feel it is worth re ordering

I used to take but canceled, only bc of financial reasons at that time. But I had no trouble at all doing so.
I do feel this probiotic was helping me, especially with feeling less hungry all the time. Maybe it’s bc I was taking the booster with it idk.
But now that I am in a better position I am going to re-order.
I always look for random reviews on the products I use and found these reviews rather rough, so I thought I would weigh in.

Unable to cancel subscriptions

The probiotic pills had no effect. I cancelled the subscription on their website but they still kept charging me. It seems impossible to get out of their subscription. I ended up getting my credit card company to block them… which is something I have never had to do before with any company.

Akkermansia did not work or show up on a GI Maps test

I have been taking Akkermansia since August and in mid-October had a gut test, GI Maps. Akkermansia showed up in the red, none. It should've shown at least a little, even if low. I can only conclude the product didn't contain Akkermansia or they were dead. The package did not sit outside. I refrigerated it though it's shelf-stable. Forget about the money, I needed what that probiotic can do. I emailed the company about my experience and have not heard back.
