I was surprised to receive the chip in a generic box and not retail packaging. The chip was in a plastic bag. There were very noticable scratches on the led display. Upon contacting the company, I was informed that I was sent a returned chip. I was assured that the chip was returned because the original purchaser upgraded to the full performance stage 3 chip. They promised a partial refund if I kept the chip. The refund was great, but my main concern was the performance of the chip. Subjectively, the chip does seem to provide increased torque. MPG for this vehicle can vary quite a bit but I haven't noticed any increase in mpg. But I am running a Sprint Booster which tends to make one heavy on the throttle. One definite downer is that the chip seems to be affected by ECO mode on my Hybrid. Turning ECO mode on with the chip confuses the chip. The car becomes very sluggish with a pronounced flat spot on acceleration. Sluggish as in more sluggish than without the chip. Still, the chip seems to be doing what it is supposed to do.

It cost me a $200.00 repair bill for my 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The performance chip interfered with my EBS and Stabilitrak system. It affected my ride, and my braking, and after taking it off and throwing it away I feel like I'm riding in a completely different car. Whatever difference it was to supposed have failed to materialize after 1,500 miles.

I bought a stage 2 chip, and though it was a significant power increase, it caused some surprise redline downshifts with my transmission when letting off the gas after full throttle. Contacted customer service who were very helpful. Replaced it with their JDM stage 3 chip and it is performing flawlessly. My Crown Victoria is now positively FEISTY!!!

** This company has disgusting practices, seemingly no physical presence and deliberately breached personal privacy laws to cover their ineptitude.

I purchased a cold air intake for my vehicle directly from the PerformanceChipTuning.com website. It had no delivery tracking information, took weeks to arrive and finally turned up scratched and damaged. Also, despite buying direct from the PerformanceChipTuning.com website, inside the package was an eBay sales slip with the buyer ID "xenonusa", suggesting PerformanceChipTuning.com purchased the item from an eBay seller and just had them deliver it to my address. Sure enough, hunting around on eBay I found both the "xenonusa" buyer account and the exact item I purchased being sold by a different seller for half the price.

I emailed PerformanceChipTuning.com customer support to question this and describing the damage, but they just sent back a vague email that didn't address any of my concerns and tried to void themselves of any responsibility.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this company like the plague.

Update 1:
A couple of emails have now been exchanged over the course of a few weeks, seemingly to insult me and state I should return the item. However, they refuse to provide a shipping label, give RMA details or even provide a return shipping address, making this impossible (note they don't appear to have an address on their website).

Since finding this review they have also attempted to have it blocked, which possibly explains why their rating on this site is higher than other review sites. Please make sure you consider other review sites when deciding whether to risk dealing with this company.

As you can see from their reply, this company puts more effort into fabrications and insulting customers, than providing a quality service. Anyone is welcome to a copy of the email thread between them and myself, to see for yourself what kind of company this is.

Please do take a look at my other reviews, as it may save you some headaches. I leave honest reviews, good and bad, for companies that deserve them. Also note that my reviews closely reflect the overall long-term ratings of those companies. Make sure to check other review sites too, where you will find PerformanceChipTuning has consistently poor ratings that are well below average. For example, check out the official Better Business Bureau site by searching for "BBB performancechiptuning".

Finally, yes, I do have a UK email address and live in Canada, it's called "immigration". However, my choice of email address does not change how bad this company is, but using it to try and discredit my review is very telling of their operating practices.

Again, it is noteworthy that there is absolutely no physical address anywhere on their website, invoices or other documentation. Only the phrase "East Coast, USA". Don't take my word for it, try to track down their physical offices.

Bought the stage lll tuner for my extremely gutless 3.7 Dodge Nitro. I mean wow did this chip ever wake up my SUV. I am very impressed. Not sure of the fuel consumption but can contest this will add HP to your car. Plus it's USA made and came in less than a week. Win,win.

I have a 3.8 2009 Jeep Liberty. I put stage 3 on and saw huge gains everywhere. Fixed transmission problem i had since vehicle was new. I will definitely buy agian.

I got the chip stage 2 for my RAV4 and I let it in the car for 3 weeks (instead of the 2 suggested) and not only didn't improve the miles or give me more power but on the contrary I felt the SUV to be more lethargic then usual, and the miles when down by 3! I paid for shipping back ($11.15) and they also charge me 15% restocking fee?!?@ Their website states 100% money back warranty. I will not recommend this company to my worst enemy!!

Update: They reply with lies as you can see below. I have contact them and send it back in the original box with no a scratch in the time allow. I have all corresponding messages and pictures.

Great product and great company to deal with. There are quite a few performance chips out there so a little research lead me PCT. it does as advertised.

I ordered the Stage 1 for my 2016 CX-5 and after setting it up, the Mazda is purring like a kitten. It idles better, definitely is showing a performance enhancement and I can garner from these immediate results, the MPG is going to improve as well.

Very happy with this addition to my SUV.

I purchased a stage 2 chip for my 97 pickup and noticed a difference right away. Power, throttle response. Haven't seen a huge change in gas mileage yet probably because I have been enjoying the new feel of the truck a bit much.
