if you have to have voip phonely is a plug and play simple solution
like many uk people i m very unhappy about loosing a phone line to the digital inferior voip system. our village has no mobile signal frequent power cuts in the winter and so going digital is loosing an emergency phone line.
i tried a well known competitor whose nAAme i wont mention, spent hours trying to get the service to work, spent hours trying to get them to stop charging me for calls that were not being made, took hours to try and cancel the "service" not to even mention the brisk and almost dismissive tech support.
so Phonely, by comparison was a delight, where my previous non voip provider couldn't configure the box and ended up blaming starlink Phonely confirmed it would be fine, and immediate connection no problem.
do i want voip no, do i think phonely are a good provider, it very much seems so thus far.
Answering machine service has never…
Answering machine service has never worked, and I have well over 100 messages over the past several months that I am unable to listen too.
I am aware that this has cost me business, and I am also aware that Phonely have done nothing to rectify the problem.
So paying for a service I am not getting, lost business, and a company that has no explanation for the constant issues regarding their, I will assume cloud based answering phone services.
It has never worked, it is annoying me, and I will need to find another provider altogether, one where I am receiving the messages, and not losing business.
Phonely, there is no need to reply to this review, I will not listen to you, and you have not dealt with the problem since I first brought it up with you about 7-8 months ago.
Personally, I should just sue you, because the lost business is substantial, just from lost messages that I have never been able to pick up. This to some companies will look like they are being ignored.

I am astonished that you have such an "Overwhelming" amount of positive reviews, considering my experience with your glitches, costly ones too.
Do not respond here, because I am unable to respond. If you are allowed to respond, then the individual leaving the review about you, should also be able to reply to your comment. So do not bother, you cannot convince me. UK business in general is not very convincing and will take your money and run.
That is the impression I get from UK business in this era.

Very easy to deal with . Laura has communicated with me and helped me at every step . 1st class company with 5* staff . A company is only as good as it’s staff
I have changed my mother from the worst company I have ever dealt with ( talk talk ) to what appears to be the best ( phonely )

Just joined the company as a customer, very positive experience, everyone courteous, polite and knowledgeable, patient.. so far so good

Had a problem making outgoing calls
Had a problem making outgoing calls, contacted support by mobile phone, call was answered within 2 minutes by Laura, who recommended power down and reconnect, which resolved the problem. Meanwhile Laura had connected my landline to a different server, all now working. Very good and efficient service!

Can't fault their quick sales and tech support.
We've been with Phonely for a year now and all I can say is they are spot on.
We had a system from them when we started the contract and today I needed to call tech support.
I had obtained an identical handset as the one we already have but this one needed to be registered with the base station, this required a pin which I didn't have. A call to support which was answered in less than a minute had the solution which we carried out while on the phone et voila, handset working.
Sarah in sales and David in tech support were brilliant.

Mixed experience
There was great ales service in terms of getting us signed up and the line transferred, But then I had some serious initial issues which Phonely were no help at all in resolving (poor line quality, calls dropping, incoming calls rejected). On the plus side we have retained our old "landline" number and multiple handsets and can get inclusive calls. However, as we don't want the other features, I thinking we may well move to just mobiles in future (like most of the population).
My problem soon sorted
Abbey, for Phonely, worked-out in no time that the electronics here were not properly mains-powered.

Refreshingly nice people manning the help desk
Yet again First Class help Abbey at support when asking for an adjustment to be made to call recording. All sorted in a jiff with such kind understanding at what must be the end of a busy day. Excellent.

Technical seemingly failed
After the Technical seemingly failed to deliver, young Laura set too and 'had a look into my router' and it would seem that some faulty software at Phonely's end had killed off my house phones.
Good on yer Laura 10 out of 10 for your efforts.

Good move
We have only just switched over to Phonely but we are very pleased so far. The phones work fine and the sound quality is good,we have no complaints, our switch over day couldn’t have been smoother. Especially happy that they are so easily obtainable on the phone and that the staff go out of their way to be pleasant and friendly and deal with any queries. I was nervous about the change but would recommend it to anyone now !

Simple to switch but a few teething problems with the service
Switching with Phonely was simple and the team are helpful and responsive. The website doesn't tell you that it takes about 10-12 days to be ported over so take this into consideration when switching. During this period, you can call out once setup up but cannot receive incoming calls until the porting of your number is complete. Also, you will need to tell friends and anyone on the same BT local exchange to also add the local area code when calling you or they wlll get a "number not recognised" message. Everything worked straight away and the call quality is very good. I have noticed that when connecting to traditional BT line numbers the calls can be broken and a loud beep can be heard by the person at the other end (BT line end). At first I thought this was down to the handset at my parents house but other people have also told me the same. Phonely have sugested that this is associated with delay (latency/jitter) in the broadband connection, however, it does not seem to be a problem when speaking with other family menbers on Phonely so it looks as if it is related to connection to the old BT line. Presumably, this will improve once the switchover is complete, but it is rather irritating for people we speak to with older lines.

The transfer process went smoothly.
I need to get use to retrieving voicemail messages.
Interestingly how a digital connection takes a tad longer than the old copper connection.
I like how online you can view all the calls including the missed calls.
