The lessons are great. You learn at your own pace, but the resources have been carefully arranged in order to guide you through them, so you won't get lost not knowing where to start or where to go next.

In general, a good learning resource, worth every cent.

PianoPig is a very helpful resource in developing my understanding of piano improvisation. The lessons are clear, structured, and the "Roadmap" makes it easy to know what level I'm at and what to do next. Even when I’ve had to step away at times, I’ve found it easy to return and pick up where I left off. It’s a thoughtful and well-designed program, with a warm and friendly community.

Simon has an easy unshowy style which I like very much. His lessons are concise, clearly explained and demonstrated. Learning piano is a slow and frustrating process but I feel I’m in the right place to progress.

I really appreciate that Simon is always responding personally and most helpfully when being sent questions.
As I am also member of another piano platform I struggle a bit setting priorities. But at least I finished one whole course (Take the A-train) which I enjoyed and which helped me enlarge my repertoire. I appreciated the inclusion of ear training learning the melody.

I’ve recently started as a subscriber but have watched piano pig videos for several years. What hooked me in was a roadmap of knowledge because I’ve wasted far too much time hopping around on YouTube. Now I’m subscribed I like what I see of the roadmap and I like the opportunities to engage with the community. TBH I’ve been preoccupied with some other things so haven’t engaged but I appreciate the gentle reminder emails. It feels like having a teacher.

I have been able to play piano for a good while but there has always been a limit to my level of playing. I never really stuck to playing scales as I learnt to play by ear by replicating what I hear and picked up some additional skills along the way. I love neo soul and jazz so it got me excited to know the was a piano course with emphasis on these genres. The course is excellent. You follow the roadmap and keep pushing through those uncomfortable moments that stretches you through your boundaries. The course is structured by progressive development of scales and improvisation to be able to freestyle and sound like the pros. I highly recommend the Piano Pig course.

I've subscribed to a couple of other piano instructional websites in the past. I'm progression better and faster with PianoPig than any others. It's the way the lessons start off real simple and build in a very logical way. I'm finally learning how to improvise.

I have been a subscriber to the Piano Pig YouTube channel for several years, and I have also subscribed to other piano channels and watched many piano instruction videos. Finally, I decided to join the Piano Pig Academy because I prefer the way Simon breaks down his excellent lessons, the clarity of his teaching and his passion for teaching as well as playing.

I started Piano Pig's "Road Map" about 2 months ago. I am really enjoying and appreciating it. It is carefully structured to provide scaffolding as we add more components to the tunes we are learning. There is clear sequential guidance about how to improvise over the tunes we are learning. Work on scales, modes, comping, etc. are built into each course. This enables me to know what to practice and how to practice it. I am seeing clear improvement in my playing in this two month time frame.
Simon is attentive and available for questions and is able to answer clearly and to demonstrate answers on his piano. I have not deeply explored all that is available through Piano Pig but I am seeing many useful exercises and lessons that I look forward to getting into.
I practice every day because I am excited to practice and excited to see what is coming next.
If you know something (and it does not have to be a lot) about music and you want to play jazz I think Piano Pig can get you there. I am a big fan.

The Piano Pig Academy is a fantastic resource for learning the keys. I regret not joining soon than I did. I spent years trying to teach myself off YouTube, and I made some progress, but something was always missing. That's where Piano Pig comes in, it's the glue that cements everything together. I can definitely feel my skills improving, but you can have to listen to what Simon says and practice! The roadmap is a super cool pathway to your progress. If you want learn the piano in a Neo Soul/Jazz style then jump in now.

The Piano Pig Academy is a great source of reference and professionally guided instruction. It teaches you the fundamentals of Jazz and other styles. We have a great community interaction from all over the world, and we do live video calls regularly. I have been an Academy member for a few years. Really love Piano Pig the structure is unencumbered by must or have to scenarios, I’m learning at my own pace.

The instruction is self-paced and age appropriate. As an older player, my first assignment was to learn Bag's Blues rather than chopsticks or Little Brown Jug. When I'm behind in my lessons, I receive encouraging notes from Simon - my instructor. Despite the obstacles of learning online from the other side of the world, this is a personable and fun experience!

Simon is the real deal. He cares about his students and has created some thoughtful and progressive material that should benefit students at many levels.

I highly recommend Piano Pig Academy to anyone looking for an affordable option that will teach you how to improvise and play Blues and Jazz on the piano.
My piano skills are limited. I was taught how to read classical sheet music for around 1.5 years, with little focus on chords, chord progressions, or how to play a song using a lead sheet. Simon covers all this and gives a Roadmap based on the student’s experience level to streamline the process.

Mi piace il modo semplice e chiaro e pratico di insegnamento. Mi piacerebbe trovare più approfondimento sui voicings (con shape accattivanti e sofisticati), riarmonizzare melodie, creare un percorso analogo a quello degli standard ma rivolto a neo soul, nu jazz (con brani, materiali ed esercizi, basi). Questo si farebbe la differenza!! E lo troverei più nello spirito "piano pig" !!

The lessons divide difficult tasks into sensible little achievable tasks and shows you exactly how to practice which is really important if you're a self-taught pianist. I've tried four other online piano courses before. Pianopig is the only one with which I can see real improvement.

Having moved form one of the more generic online training sites the difference is significant. A clear structured learning pathway, presented in an inspirational manner with great clarity has improved both my confidence and actual playing. Simon is warm, clearly skilled and knowledgeable and very approachable and supportive. I would highly recommend Piano Pig to anyone wanting to learn piano in a progressive manner which holds interest and gives a sense of a solid foundation and achievement.

If you want to learn Blues, Jazz and build up a repertoire accompanied by skillfully worked in exercises to improve your dexterity in triads and seventh chords try this out. I am not a beginner and an advanced piano player but I really enhance my abilities with it. Follow the Road Map and you’ll be fine.

The Piano Pig academy's method of teaching is fantastic, I have learned more in a few months with Simon's teaching than I did in years of piano lessons.

The step by step programme is very cleverly designed to suit from beginner to maestro. Simon is very knowledgeable in every aspect of music, and he passes his vast knowledge of music in a very easy to understand and relaxed manner.

I would genuinely recommend the Piano Pig academy to anyone who wants to take piano up, or further their learning. It's a great and friendly community at Piano Pig and I would encourage any piano pupils... this is where you should be.
