Haven’t got to fish the rod yet. Received it a few days ago and removed the plastic cork cover that it is shipped with. Unfortunately after doing so I started to put the rod together. I spent $279 on this rod and it’s beautiful but this rod is more expensive than the Echo Glass rod offering and the Redington Butterstick. So when I noticed the alignment dots are way off between the tip and the attaching middle portion of the rod I was very upset. I know it isn’t a big deal and I can align the rod just fine without them it’s just frustrating. Again, I spent $279 on this rod and they didn’t even bother to make sure the alignment dots are correct. Also, because I removed the plastic off the cork I can no longer return it. Just frustrating. I have a wade rod co 7wt 9’ streamer express that is a good rod but this will likely be my last rod from them. It just rubs me the wrong way. Hope the rod fishes good. That would at least alleviate some of the frustration.

After having issues with the postal service. I have received my first two boxes today. I am very pleased with the items inside and will continue my subscription for the foreseeable future. The quality of items in the guide series box are top of the line and great for beginners and more experienced fishermen. The only reason I left 4 stars is I feel like Postfly should be easier to contact if an issue should arise.

Got my first box - Warmwater Guide Series. I was blown away by the value, quality of items, assortment. Literally everything in there looks juicy. There was not a single "throw away" item. Plus there were unexpected bonus items that totally put it over the top. There was a mix of stuff that was / is familiar but a little different than what's in my box and some stuff that I just don't have, especially really flashy stuff, so it rounds out my assortment. Cannot wait to get on the water with this stuff!

Purchased a single purchase box, was pretty unimpressed, all it came with was nippers, a leader, a sticker, and the dozen or so flies. My opinion is the box is worth half of what I paid. Probably wouldn’t recommend beside the flies looking decent.

Long time subscriber, guide box and tying box . Name brand gear in the guide box , along with post fly swag . Some repeats after awhile . Flies are decent, but heavy on dries, soft hackles, etc. Streamers don’t show up too often and they are not very heavy.
Accessories, socks and other items are always high quality .
Tying box has been good quality but the patterns not the most useful for me. Would enjoy picking my own tying kit once in awhile or perhaps tailor more to individual fishing preferences.

Love my monthly subscription box from PostFly. I get both a fly tying box, and a Saltwater Guide Box and it's the best investment I've made in a long time.

Gave a Postfly sub to my father in law for Christmas, he is enjoying it quite immensely! He loves looking forward to seeing what flies he is getting each month, and what new little goodie he is getting along with them. He loves to trout fish and this keeps him excited for the season start in a few months!

I haven't been fly fishing for very long and really look forward to putting all my new flies and gear to use this summer. The stickers are fun too - although so far my dad's snagged all of mine for his water bottles. But it's a small price to pay for all he's teaching me about my new favorite outside activity.

Very happy with the gifts I've bought from this company, as well as their excellent customer service. A snag with a Christmas order resulted in a personalized mailing including the missing item, arriving in record time, and the original purchase (the Christmas box) was a serious bargain on its own. Monthly shipments delight my flyfisher,, so I'm always checking to see what else I can get him from Postfly.

These fly boxes and so much fun and so well curated! Love them!

Quality materials but would like some bigger baitfish patterns as I fish for European bass which have big mouths so some bigger flies would be great thanks

Son-in-law is awesome at making flys and he wanted the 3month fly tying boxes. He is inspired and made the most beautiful flys. He said the three boxes have enough material for him and he did not want to renew the subscription. One thing: they do not ship to PO Box but they send to Canada. So I had to receive the box and send it on to son-in-law with Canada Post.

I have received the 6 month trout fly series for the past two christmases. The variety of flies is great. The quality is extremely high. I’ve had great success and look forward to this gift every year!

I have been a PostFly subscriber for around 5 or 6 years I think. Hard to remember when I actually started. I find the fly tying boxes interesting as many times they introduce me to a pattern I have not experienced on my own tying flies. It also makes keeping my fly boxes full of fresh flies easy to maintain. I get a box a month. And with it once done tying a dozen new flies. I would highly recommend it to a new tyer. Or someone who has tied for a long time. But is looking for fresh ideas.

Love their fly tying kits. It helps me with teaching the youth kids I teach.

My brother that lives in Ca , hikes & fishes in the Sierra Nevada mountains on a regular basis. For Christmas 2021 I spoke with Cam re: the best box for my brother . Cam was friendly , answered all of my questions and helped me pick out the best box . My brother was super happy with all of the flys . He said the quality was a lot better than the ones he already had . That sounds like a win to me !

Post fly is not only a fun inexpensive treat each month, it is also helping me learn more about the different fly options and purposes.

Always a joy to get home after a long work day to find a Postfly box to provide instant perspective and inspiration for a fishing trip…even if it’s just dreaming about fishing when a trip may be far into the future, it’s still a shot in the arm of hope ;-))

Post fly is a great service and if you ask my wife a great gift for the fly fisher in your life. She got this for me for Father’s Day and let it run for a New England saltwater season. As a fly tier I didn’t necessarily need more flies but was still happy to have them. Plus the gadgets and stickers in the boxes always peaked my interest.
