The project started in August 2025

The project started in August 2025. Powur had a subcontractor remove old solar panels to replace them with newer ones and add more solar panels to my system with the addition of Tesla battery packs. The removal of the old panels was completed in a couple of days. Contactors left supplies in my driveway for a couple of months until I complained enough for them to come pick up their leftover supplies. From August till around November, nothing happened, complete silence, or I get, we are waiting on this or that. During this time, I am paying full electric bills. The installation of the additional panels and battery pack was a complete mess. Stucco damage to my exterior walls, poor anchoring of conduit to walls, touch-up paint splattered on the ground and on equipment, and trash and debris left at home. Nothing till December, and SCE goes to connect the meter adapter to my electrical panel. NOGO, after all this hassle, the socket meter is not compatible.
Powur states they had no way of knowing that, and based on the age of my home, they assumed it would work!. This sounds like complete garbage. SCE can come out to check what meter I have, or there have to be other ways to check this before work starts. Anyway, fast forward to today, 3/19/2026, going on 8 months since the start of this rollercoaster, I still do not have solar-generated power. They had to upgrade my electrical panel to work with the adapter. During this time, little to no communication from Powur, flaky third-party contractors came to do work late or had to reschedule for Powur. They leave trash and rush jobs. I have had to make three payments on my solar loan and continue since Aug, 2025 to pay full electric bills. $400-500 a month. All while my new system sits dormant on my walls and roof.

I have had solar installed on my home from another company, which was a pleasure to do business with, so I have experience and expectations with contractors. This company seriously needs to rethink the way they install solar. A scary and sad thing is, I don't think they will be around very much longer, like the rest of the solar companies going out of business. My advise stay away from Powur, it's not worth the hassle, quality of work, and professionalism you expect.

Lie Cheat and Steal

This has been the worst consumer experience of my life. I'm going to go into more details, but I want to bullet point the bad for those who won't read. They literally looted my house, stole tens of thousands from my basement from install, told me that my daughter said it was ok. (I DON'T HAVE A DAUGHTER), but the system also never worked. NEVER. 9 months later, there has been one service call to send a repair person who was only instructed to confirm it wasn't working. That was in September 2025 and it is now February 2026. Not only does it not work, but because it was installed impropperly, my electric bill went up, 3,100%. That is a fact. They will not respont. Customer service is non existent. I've spent hundreds of hours on hold and writing emails to zero results. I've spoken with the company they installed which is no help and the finance. They all contact them to no response. I can't afford my electric bill and still have to pay for this on top. This is a scam. Pure and simple there is zero help. The help they also said for filing taxes is a lie. There is no assistance and all the promises sales gives you is a lie. Worst company I've ever dealt with. Stay Away.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They have screwed up everything from the beginning. I signed to have the solar installed and 10 months later, they had me sign another contract. They never installed anything within that 10 months. Then they had the parts delivered in front of my house... I'm the street, without signature and block both my roommate and my car, so we couldn't leave. When I called to complain, they said "They should have had you sign", and Nick (the salesman) never even called me back. Still won't. They cancelled my inspection, then lied about it. Still have things to fix before it passes. Total disaster. Two of my neighbors went through a different company and have no problems. (Sun Run). Don't use this company.

Powur Incompetent idiots like Lacey Morrill

Been trying to get Solar installed since Early March. Lacey Morill was the PM. She is the utter example of not know how to be a PM. Zero Communication, Zero Accountability.
-Not contacting me when Solar being delivered (requires signature)
-Not contacting me when batteries being delivered
(requires signature)
-Installers never showed up on Install date, she doesn't call them or me. Job gets canceled and delay for 2 weeks.
-Install was 1/2 done with old equipment with exposed wires still on the wall. She does nothing.
-After all set - they install the wrong meter socket and have to order a Gateway.

Issues over issues and her accountability is trash. I don't understand how she even has a job.

There is no phone communication at all, only email contact. Which takes up to 48 hours or longer to respond. What a joke Powur is, they should be bankrupt.

Serious Installation Issues & Poor Resolution Effort

I hired Powur for a $36,000+ solar system and initially had a positive experience working with Tom from Sunlove. However, everything changed after installation. One-third of the system (Branch #2) was offline for months due to exposed live wiring — a clear violation of Enphase installation guidelines. This posed a fire hazard and risk of electrical shock to anyone near the home.

Despite raising these concerns multiple times, I received delayed responses, incomplete fixes, and no reimbursement for the lost energy production or property damage. The corrective work performed was substandard, with debris left on my roof and smudges across my panels. Most recently, a non-compliant terminator cap was installed, contrary to manufacturer requirements.

I have now filed formal complaints with the California CSLB and BBB, seeking resolution and reimbursement. If you’re considering solar, proceed with caution. The installation quality and post-sale support have been severely lacking in my case.

Tree companies run away

Tree companies run away. You will not get paid for your work. Despite job completion and the homeowner's satisfaction, almost two months have gone by and nothing but empty but an empty promise from the salesman that "finance" will take care of it.

Homowners, run. If they can't pay us, do you think they will serivce your panels after the install?

Run run run to another another solar company.

DO NOT hire them !!!! Horrible !!! I installed with them over a year ago and it’s been a year I’ve been trying to get in touch with them ! Everything they promise is BS !!!!! My bill is higher than before , same bill with FPL plus I have to pay them !!!!! Zero customer support !!!! Zero support !!!! They ruined my roof and do not even answer any calls for full year ! The money they promised from government is BS !!! The referral for new clients is BS never paid !

This solar company promises 95% offset and when you try to hold them to that, the play the "nothing is guaranteed card". I have been trying to get somene to call me and they disconnect the chats, changed their customer service number where you need an extension to speak to someone. The catch - they won't give you the extension. RUN FOR THE HILLS AND SPREAD THE WORD.

Candid review from a Green certified Realtor & did a…

I'm a Green certified Realtor & did a tremendous amount of homework researching solar companies for my precious life-long Real Estate clients.
There simply isn't a "perfect" solar company out there.
Some of the biggest companies have overall decent reviews on one review site & then really bad ones on others.
Solar is the construction business, & like anyone in that business, you're going to find somecompanies that care more than others.
Powur really cares and I respect that.
To me, it isn't about being perfect. It's about caring about the homeowner experience & fixing anything potentially bad that might occur.
It's also important to note, that i've found it's usually the minority of homeowners that are frustrated, that take the time to leave a review. On this site, Powur's reviews didn't look amazing, but since there's less than 50 reviews here, and the company does an average of almost 2,000 jobs per month, there must be WAY more happy clients, than unhappy, right!?
The solar industry, as a whole, is a mess, filled with misinformation & unmet promises. Much of that is salesperson related, so being an informed consumer, & your gut, will likely help you steer clear of those pitfalls.
Solar is a MUCH better choice than renting your electricity from your local utility when you find the right company & the right solar rep so the system meets all your needs.
Some big companies,(like the one you find at Costco & Home Depot, for example,) have about a 2-star Yelp review (out of 5.) That's scary when you're hoping your system operates for more than 25 years.
I found Powur had the best pricing, a variety of top material choices, great purchasev & lease choices, & longest guarantee in the industry. (30 years on everything including roofing.) They also have a customer hotline if a client ever needs help, which is rare. (Try calling Tesla solar & tell me how long it takes for a human being to answer.)
I've personally seen over 10 solar systems built and 9/10 of them were installed in the timeframe they were promised & ALL for the price promised. There were permitting & utility permission to operate delays that, combined with 1st installer dropping the ball, made it take a couple months extra for that 1/10. Powur replaced the crew immediately for the homeowners, paid their electric bill for 6 months & kept the homeowner up to date, every week.
I wish every job was perfect, but that's just not realistic.
Powur is a company that cares, they'll always fix it, & they really put their money where their mouth is, & I like that.
Powur has consistently impressed me the most.
If you want a top quality product installed that will last many decades, they're your best choice.

16 month install that is still not…

16 month install that is still not completed and has become an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. My mom is a sweet elderly lady that has been MASSIVELY taken advantage of. They have had over 8 project managers, fired the installer twice, and have broken ALL promises made to make it better EACH AND EVERY TIME. The panels, battery and other equipment are installed since May. They just can't get ANYTHING right and can't finish this job. Now winter is coming again and it will probably be delayed further. THIS IS THE WORST SOLAR COMPANY IN EXISTENCE!!! Avoid at ALL costs!

Powur provides and industry leading 30yr warranty coverage, which makes it one of the best long term solutions for anyone considering solar for their home.

Also, they have created communication checkpoints throughout the entire process that you will receive via email and also through their “My Powur” project app, which you can download for free.

I’ve been working in solar for 6 yrs and there are always challenges that come up from time to time, especially in certain markets. They announced at the last big convention that “Operational Excellence” is the #1 priority to hone in on over the next 2 years. This is no easy feat but it speaks volumes about what we can expect from them in the upcoming years.

For these reasons, I will continue to leverage the Powur platform for the majority of my clients’ solar projects nationwide.

Powur no pay comitions to the salers and take a long time to install

In March 2023, I joined the Powur platform, and took one of my clients, who signed at the end of March, with a promise that the system would be installed in a maximum of 90 days. Six months and a half passed and the system was still without installing. On the other hand, the platform charged us sellers 85 dollars per month to be able to continue incorporating clients. When I saw that they did not pay the fee, I canceled the right to incorporate more clients for which they charged me $85 per month. As soon as I unsubscribed, the installation was terminated and they did not pay the fee they owe me, because they say that I am not on the platform, which is not true because I still have access to incorporate referrals. And I also have the right to that they pay me the fee for the project sold. It cannot be that they extend the installation time just to continue charging the 85 per month and after 6 months or seven months what they charge me in monthly payment exceeds what they owe me in fee. It's a theft, they don't pay what they owe and they also charge me monthly. Can someone enforce the law? Please! Thank you very much. I hope they pay me my commission. Also, no one answers, there is no number to complain and no one answers the emails.

Beware of this SCAM!!!!!
BEWARE…This is a SCAM they used/will use to get your DEPOSIT MONEYS!!!
After signing a contract with them (POWUR) and making DEPOSIT…they will disappear…
If you called asking for the STATUS – they will respond with: “Too many applications…so you have to wait….”
Four (4) months later, they called and asked for an additional ~10K if you wanted to move forward with solar installation. If NOT, you will lose your DEPOSIT MONEYS…
This is my case:
I agreed to pay ~29K for the solar installation with them. Made a deposit of $1,000.
Have not heard from them for 4 months. One day, an agent called and asked for an additional $9000 b/c my roof needs to be fixed….
There was no clear explanation why my roof needed to be fixed since all my 3 neighbors just had solar installed (in the window of 3-6 months) and did not have any issue.
I requested a few things such as:
1) Roof Inspection in person – not by drone(s) – Got REJECTED
2) Second inspection in person to confirm since all my neighbor’s roofs with the same builder/year 2001 did not have any problem – Got REJECTED
3) Hire an independent Roof Inspection – Got REJECTED
I asked for a refund of my DEPOSIT in full. They said: “Since my cancellation was more than 3 days after signing the contract agreement, they will not refund my DEPOSIT in full.”
It took them 4 months to demand an additional $10K.
Why didn’t they tell me in the first 3 days So I will be able to cancel my contract?

Just wanted to share my story so you will be aware of this NEW SCAM!!!!!!!

They promise you a quick and seamless promise and end up dragging things out. I signed a contract in May 2023, heading into September ( 5 months now) and they keep telling me that the permit has been approved, but my County Office does not have a solar permit application in the systems for them at all. They keep asking me to submit paperwork to my HOA and I have told them over and over again, that I need a copy of the permit for my HOA. This is the worst transaction and I wouldn't recommend a bird's nest to do business with them.

Defaulted on contract, never installed

Contract for install signed March 2022. Started out fine but needed a minor modification to the plans due to power company and insurance requirements. Just had to remove one panel. That turned into several bad plans, twice being redone for the wrong house, then installer ghosted and we got delayed for months. Then I had to cancel the permit myself and reapply with the county since installer that ghosted was not responding to change request. Finally had everything set by fall and pushed them to install quickly as soon the ground would be frozen and there would be snow (we are doing a ground mount system). They said don't worry, then later went back on that and said they couldn't install when the ground is frozen. Scheduled for February, then March, then later in March due to weather delays. Then said my financing had expired so instead of 1.9% per our contract it would now be 4.9%. AND, it was going to cost $7k more that originally in our contract. I fought of course, no way I'm paying more for their mistakes and delays caused by them. They finally offered a $5k credit if I moved forward. I said no, why would I pay more and a higher rate due to their mistakes? So here I am over a year later, tons of headaches and no solar.

I couldn't imagine a worse experience

I couldn't imagine a worse experience. Its taken over 8 months to have my system set up. I was told it would take 60 days. The installer failed to show up on 5 scheduled dates. When they showed up they smoke weed, talked about their sexual conquests outside my daughters window and went home after only working for 15 minutes. I had to take 9 days of work off to allow access to my home to complete installation and multiple failed building inspections. The internal process of filing the correct paperwork with the building department and energy provider was incorrect EVERY TIME! If it wasn't for my efforts from start to finish this project would still be in pending mode. I have asked powur to compensate me for time off and energy expenses and they have yet to even respond. For the Love of all that is good, please do not engage with Powur for any reason. Consider yourself warned!!!!

All talk. No solutions

What has changed? It has been a month (Dec 23rd) since QP promised to talk to Solaredge about the solar panel not properly functioning. Solaredge is supposed to be monitoring this but didn't identify the problem as worthy of their time as no one has emailed or left any messages about trying to reach me about fixing the problem. Powur's contracted customer service admit that system that their contracted sales team sold me was inadequate and told me that it would be too expensive for me to get the size I needed...and then closed the ticket.

2/20/2024 update Powur is still the worst solar panel installer ever. I spent $25,000 more to update my system with 10 panels and 2 batteries. Powur is what you don't have because they a such an unethetical company.
