Safety First
It was easy to order the products and they arrived quickly. The fire blankets will keep us prepared in the event of a fire. We gave three as gifts to family. The fire blankets are easier than fire extinguishers for kids to use too. I recommend this product from Prepared Hero.

I made a mistake in thinking it was…
I made a mistake in thinking it was Canadian dollars when I ordered but it is not. When I contacted Prepared Hero to cancel my order they give me a better deal with a refund for the difference. Product is exactly what I expected and service was excellent.

I purchased a few items for gifts and then realized that I somehow was signed up for a "VIP subscription" without my knowledge that charged my card monthly.

I bought blankets for my parents
I bought blankets for my parents, my boyfriends parents & ourselves 2 years ago out of paranoia. Today my 61-year old mother used it to put out an oil fire that escalated quickly. She was able to tame the fire within minutes and put it out entirely before the fire department came up. Without these blankets, I’m not sure what the state of our house and my parents wellbeing would’ve been. Buying several more for us.

I would recommend to anybody who… stays in hotels or especially motels
I would recommend to anybody who travels or who may think somebody is tracking their vehicle. This little device can spot and find anything that should not be there.

Was exactly as advertised, fast shipping, and it's a weight lifted off my shoulders should anything happen. I walked my kids through the steps and devices so they also know what to do. Worth every penny to have the comfort of knowing we now have the ability to put out a fire should it ever happen.

Unauthorized monthly VIP subscription.,
The purchase and delivery was satisfactory.
However like many others on this site I was enrolled unwillingly in a ($30.00+) monthly subscription without my knowledge.
I have tried 3 times to call customer service and each time I was informed that call volume was higher than normal and was instructed to contact support at prepared hero dot com
That process is on going and there is plenty of evidence regarding unauthorized reoccurring monthly charges from others.

Prepared Hero deceptive Membership charges
Like many others, I was also unknowingly enrolled in a VIP program with a recurring monthly fee. I never enroll in subscriptions such as this and would never have purposefully signed up. I purchased 4 blankets in November 2025, one for ourselves and 3 for family members. Fortunately none of them have been needed.
I recently noticed a $32.43 charge on my credit card and looking back, I can see that I have been charged for 3 months of this "membership". I don't have any correspondence from them, no emails, and have received zero benefits from said membership.
I have reached out to customer service via email, and hope to be reimbursed the fees. In the event that they balk, I have already discussed filing a dispute charge with our credit card company.
I would not be able to recommend this company based on their deceptive practices. I will update my review if I receive a full refund.
Update: fortunately membership charges were credited back to me

Received my package very timely (western Canada). Hoping to not have to ever use the blankets or the spray, however, we feel much safer knowing our 3 floors are covered in our house…just in case! Bought the 8-pack of blankets to give to family and friends.

I loved the product but not how I was unknowingly enrolled in a VIP program with a recurring monthly fee.
I was very pleased with the quality of the fire blankets I purchased as Christmas gifts for my family. Unfortunately, like many others, I feel I was unknowingly enrolled in a recurring monthly “VIP” charge. I recently noticed a $32.39 charge appearing each month for the past three months.
When I contacted customer service, I was told they could only refund the March charge. I don’t recall seeing anything during checkout indicating I was signing up for a fee based subscription—I only intended to purchase the blankets. It seems the process may not clearly communicate that customers are being enrolled in a recurring VIP membership, especially since I have not received any noticeable benefits or VIP correspondences from them over these past three months.
Practices like this can seriously damage a company’s reputation if not addressed. While I have now canceled the subscription, I was disappointed that I was not reimbursed for the January and February charges.
Lesson learned: future customers should carefully review all details at checkout to avoid being unknowingly enrolled in this VIP program for additional charges.

Peace of mind
Our old extinguishers had expired also my wife had a very scarey incident while following a recipe the pan burst into flames sending flames that reached the kitchen ceiling she screamed I ran into the kitchen and put the fire out she was traumatized we had to hire contractor to repaint the ceiling after a few days my recentered the kitchen I googled fire extinguishers and found Hero blanket i ordered one and spray and subsequently bought them for our daughter who lives in Brooklyn NY we all have piece of mine

CAUTION
CAUTION! When checking out pay close attention to what you click on. I wound up being billed $32.39 monthly for Prepared Hero Academy and when you realize this is some sort of recurring charge, and request to cancel you don't get your money back!
Customer service was nice about it: I think they get a lot of these calls since he knew exactly what I was talking about without having to give any details.
Fire Blankets themself were a welcome gift to everyone and I can see it being useful if the need arises.
