This is the second bracket I've had to purchase within 4 years as the spring has broken. When the bracket is closed one end of the spring has a straight section which is pushed back over a part of the bracket. This results over time in weakening the spring until it eventually snaps. A very poorly designed part! Plus you have to purchase the complete bracket (which is overpriced), not just the broken spring.
Purchased to replace failed unit. Exact replica which was relatively easy to install
Standard equipment
As described and good quality
Great product but rather expensive for a hinge
Have had to replace two so far on my 2022 Unicorn on two seperate occasions. On both occasions fault was small retaining spring breaking. Clearly a design fault not up to the job. Each time I've had to replace the whole bracket for £££'s rather than just the spring for pence.
