Exemplary service from the team at Protectapet
Just had a 2m x 3m catio fitted by Protectapet. They have been superb. Exemplary service and I cannot fault in any way. We have had 7 x shelves, and 2x round beds included.
We have 3 cats, 2 of which are indoors due to a neighbours cat sadly being knocked over and killed outside our house on the road even though we live near the end of a cul-de-sac. We tried unsuccessfully to keep our outdoor cat in but have resigned ourselves to the fact he needs to continue going out. For our 2x indoor cats, they were being let in the garden but they tried to get over the fences and climb trees to get out, hence the catio solution.
We decided not to have a wooden one as were conscious of the maintenance and way it would look 2-5+ years on and we use our patio all the time so wanted an aesthetically pleasing g modern look (which we got). We opted for black powder coated galvanised steel.
Our cats absolutely loved it from day one. One cat in particular is often out there most of the day now between @6am to @11pm (lol). Even our outdoor cat uses it. They have also had to learn to use the catflap to get in and out which they have done over @a week.
Exemplary service from Aaron and the team at the office as I asked many questions. Lots of information and support given. Also Martin, our installer, has been fantastic. He was consistently tidy, and kept clearing up to reduce any chance of debris on the floor getting in to the cats paws. He also kept checking with us to make sure we were happy with the installation e.g. location of shelves etc. turned up in a timely manner and got on great with the job
I would 1000% recommend Protectapet to anyone considering a catio

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear how much your cats are enjoying their new catio! I will pass on your kind comments on to Aaron, Martin, and the rest of the team. Thank you again for choosing ProtectaPet and for recommending us so highly, we wish you and your cats many happy years enjoying the space together! 🐾
Tremendous product, brilliant design and installation
From Jacqui the Design Consultant to Martin and Phil who did our installation and not forgetting Adrienne who sent the invoice, our entire ProtectaPet experience was beyond excellent (if it’s possible to be better than excellent). A terrific product and excellent pre- and post-purchase service. Thoughtful design and considered installation, including finding solutions to our quirky garden layout, created a wonderful playground for our treasured cat. She can run in and out of the house at will and enjoy chasing insects, chittering at birds and snarling at the squirrel, and she loves it. The only thing she can’t do, although she’s tried very, very hard, is escape. And we have peace of mind because we know she’s safe.

Terrific service
Martin did a fantastic job of building my catio. The attention to detail was fantastic. The catio has made a huge difference to my crazy ragdoll. Ludwig loves to sit on his high shelf watching the local bird life and chasing bugs. Being able to have my patio doors open in the sunshine is wonderful. Many thanks.

Not up to UK weather
After having initially left a five star review I am now a very disappointed customer. After one winter struts have come loose, bent, and netting has stretched. They say it’s because we had ‘wet snow’. And the fencing is not insured for weather! But it’s outdoor fencing! And we hardly had above average snowfall. They want another £850 to fix. I can’t be paying that out every year. The netting needs to be much better quality and the struts stronger otherwise this product is really not worth it’s very high price.

Resposta da ProtectaPet Ltd
We are sincerely sorry to hear that you feel disappointed following your initial experience with us
We completely understand your frustration regarding the damage caused after the snowfall. While our systems are designed for outdoor use and are built to withstand normal weather conditions, heavy or wet snow can place significant additional weight on the mesh. Due to the flexibility of the mesh, we do advise customers on winter care and maintenance to help prevent this type of issue. The simplest method is to gently tap the mesh from underneath with a broom during snowfall, allowing the snow to fall away before it has the opportunity to freeze and become excessively heavy.
We do have many customers whose systems are still thriving more than 10 years after installation, which is why we are confident in both the quality of our products and installations. Unfortunately, in this instance, the damage is not due to a fault with the product or the installation itself.
That said, we genuinely do want to help. We are more than happy to arrange for one of our engineers to call in when passing your area, which would allow us to further reduce the cost of the repair wherever possible.
Kind regards,
ProtectaPet
