Excellent survey of our needs by Robert. Turned up at agreed time on day of removal and move completed within 4 hours from start to finish. Staff were very good and professional.

Moved from Hamilton to Scottish Borders. Excellent advice from Robert to have furniture uplifted day before completion date and delivered day after completion date. Missives not concluded until 4.30 pm on completion date so it would not have worked any other way.

Both the uplift team and delivery team were excellent and showed great care with our belongings. We have now used Purdie three times and would have no hesitation in recommending them as a company that provides great service at a reasonable price.

Mr Purdie came to my home to access what was to be moved and how it would be done. There was no rush going through my property and he gave good advise. On the day of the move the two lads could not have done enough to put me at ease as I am disabled. I would recommend this company without hesitation. As for the company, don't try to fix what is not broke. W S West Lothian.

So i am a year in and mr robert purdie has decided not to call my support worker, who has tried for months to get him, we have tried and tried my goods are still sitting here and do not work, there is reasons that things couldnt be done in the way he wanted but if mr purdie worked with me rather than making things harder it would not be going to a lawyer. I will fight this withall peoppe who see the mess on cctv and recipts issued for damage. It coyld have been diffrent but no, cat and mouse game i just hope his family never go through what i am.

Took the hassle out of moving for us, everything went as planned on the day. Moving team were fantastic and had us moved and in our new place in no time.

Would use again in the future

From the initial inquiry through to completion of the move the company were extremely efficient and professional. Our moving team were top class arriving on time and nothing was too much trouble.

Robert came out to see us and explained everything and also a few helpful tips. the suggestions he made were very helpful and made things go smoothly.

Great Company, very efficient, friendly and punctual

I was looking for a removals company to help with a home move I was going through, I got quotes from several companies in Central Scotland which were all way and above what I was expecting. I called Purdies last as I was expecting them to be the dearest as they are a big firm and well established. Couldn't be more wrong, they were the cheapest by around £1000 from the nearest other quote. Service was excellent and the guys who did the actual move were very professional, everything went smoothly and without a hitch and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Purdies.

Very professional service, delivery of a one off bespoke item which was treated with care. Staff members carrying out the delivery were very helpful and accommodating. Only criticism would be to provide an estimated time of arrival.

Great service from the first conversation to having my home contents being put into long term storage. Communications have been first class. Highly recommended.

Perfect experience from start to finish. From the getting a quote which was not only well priced but also quick and easy to the big move day Purdie were amazing.
On the day the team arrived on time, then got everything loaded in record time. At the new house they had everything unloaded almost as quick. They took the time to make sure our items and boxes were safe and in the right rooms. They were friendly, polite and ever so good.
Really can't recommend them enough. 5/5 from us here.

We had removers booked for 8am. We were told that they would leave the depot at 8am so should have been with us by 8.20am at the latest. At 9am we had no removers and no phone call so I phoned the office to be told firstly that they should probably be on their way, then that there had been "a few accidents" and that they were running late. When I queried how late there was no specific time given - I was told that they ie the removers would call me when they were on their way. This was particularly unhelpful as I had an appointment booked to pick up my new keys and then didn't know whether I should go to that appointment or not. I was also told that "someone should have phoned" me - that would have been fantastic but sadly no-one did phone me. That includes the removers themselves who were meant to call me to say that they were on their way but in fact did not and just turned up at the house, at about 12.30pm so over 4 hours late.
When they did arrive there were several items of furniture which they then refused to move which also caused some disruption. I can only classify the remover men themselves as surly and unhelpful.
All in all a very disappointing experience. I chose Purdies because you have an excellent reputation locally which led me to ignore the cheaper quotes I received from other removers. I also note that the quotation that I have received for storage has the estimated number of containers in such small writing that it is very hard to see, leading me to miscalculate the cost of storage. I will be moving my items to cheaper accommodation elsewhere as soon as possible. I would not be tempted to use your services again.

Matt Purdie has had our furniture in storage for almost 8 years. We have been abroad and have now bought a place here. So finally got everything out of storage. Was a bit worried if everything would be ok, no need to worry, it was in such good condition it was as if it had been packed up the day before. Highly recommend Matt Purdie for all your storage needs. If we need storage again, we will certainly comes to Matt Purdie again.

I gave this review 5stars because the two men who came to uplift my furniture were polite and nothing was any bother to them. Furniture was covered with plastic sheets and handled with care.

The removers turned up on time and were helpful and respectful given the stressful situation of moving house after 38 years in one house. There were no problems and the outline plan was adhered to. Delivery was just as smooth without any hitches.

Thank you for a wonderful service so far. Daniel and Gary were fantastic, not only with filling our storage, but great with advice, they put everything into storage, they worked like trojans, that was on a Tuesday the following Thursday week they came to move us into our temporary home, again putting our goods in without a bother. At the beginning I said so far, but that’s only because in a few months time we move into our new home and I know they will be just as great. Thank you Purdie, but most of thank you to your wonderful team.
