We love camping and have owned virtually every brand of gear over the past four decades. The setup and takedown are the most time consuming and energy intensive parts of the experience. Being able to get the tent set up and taken down in less than a minute is the best thing since sliced bread, especially when the weather is less than ideal. Looking forward to many happy trips!

Ich habe zuerst das 6 Personen Zelt bestellt, doch nach reichlicher Überlegung wollte ich doch das größere Zelt für 10 Personen. Die Rückgabe des 6 Personen Zeltes verlief ohne Probleme (Danke im Nachhinein!) Dann habe ich mir sofort das größere Zelt bestellt!
Auch diese Bestellung verlief ohne geringstes Problem! Nun bin ich stolzer Besitzer eines 2- step Zeltes und warte nur noch darauf es auszuprobieren! (Zurzeit ist es wegen der winterlichen Wetterverhältnisse leider nicht möglich.)

The tent showed up with everything it needs to set up including tent pins and a tarp. It truly sets up in 3 seconds and is easy to put away.

Fantastic - once you get the tent out of the bag & on the ground - pops up in 3-4 seconds. Great idea when you go to your camping sites in the dead of night with only a handsfree head lamp.

I have set up the smaller of the 2 tents. Super easy to setup and take down. Cant wait to take it outdoors

J’ai acheté une tente trois secondes, elle est impossible à ouvrir dans mon salon ! Où j’essaye de la faire fonctionner. Qu’est-ce que ça pourrait être dans le désert puisque c’est là que je pars ! J’ai regardé les tuto tout essayé, ça ne marche pas, impossible de mettre à plat les barres du haut . Très mécontent. De l’argent jeté . Je vais chez décathlon !

I have been enjoying my 3-Second tent since May, until I ran into a problem as I packed to leave a campsite last weekend. One of the locking hinges snapped and I wasn't sure if my tent was still under warranty or if the damage was covered. Jethro was able to get me all taken care of very quickly!

Ordering was easy and inflatable cabin was safely delivered. The extended guarantee was super easy and gotta love the freebies! Setting up for the first time at the beach in the wind was a challenge!

I recently used the Reactive Outdoor large tent on a camping trip south west of Victoria (Australia) and came away with mixed feelings. While the tent has some appealing features, there are several practical issues that affected the overall experience.

The much-advertised 3-second pop-up mechanism does work well and makes the initial setup quick. However, that’s where the ease ends. Properly staking the tent and stretching it out with the guy lines takes a fair bit of time, especially compared to more traditional pole tents. In windy conditions, setup becomes particularly difficult, and the tent struggles to remain stable. I experienced winds around 30–35 km/h—not extreme by camping standards—and the tent flapped noticeably.

The interior space is one of the tent’s strengths. It’s spacious, comfortable, and the dual entry/exit points are very convenient. Ventilation inside is good during warmer conditions, but on colder nights it becomes a drawback. Wind drafts flow through the tent, making it quite cold, and dew forms on the mesh panels, which then allows water droplets to make their way inside. Ideally, the ventilation should have an open/close option. A weather protection flysheet would solve many of these problems, including heat retention, condensation, and the fluttering sides in windy conditions.

Durability is another concern. The fabric does not feel like it’s designed for long-term use, particularly around the seams and zippers. The zippers frequently get caught in the stitching, and based on the build quality, the seams don’t seem likely to hold up after repeated use.

The guy lines, while necessary for stability, extend quite far from the tent and became a tripping hazard at night. Packing the tent away is also less straightforward than setup—it doesn’t easily fit back into the carry bag.

Overall, while the tent is roomy and has some thoughtful design elements, it falls short for the price. At around $200 AUD, there are better options on the market, including more traditional pole tents that offer better durability, weather protection, and easily replaceable parts. I could overlook the fabric quality and stitching to some extent, but a flysheet is definitely needed for this tent to be practical in real camping conditions.

Reactive Outdoor's customer service is great. From the time of online checkout to receiving my tent was very easy and efficient. I have set it up to test it out, it is so much easier setting up without tent poles to worry about.
