Five stars is not enough they made a stressful event so calm and relaxed. I cannot praise them enough. We had the packing service which I would also recommend so much easier.

Good job but removal men pretty cold
The owner of this business was a friendly and helpful guy who arranged everything and didn't even ask for a deposit which was very nice. On the day of the move, two guys arrived. They did what was asked of them and moved the furniture with care but what is usually a friendly and fun day with previous removers felt very clinical and there was no fun or chat as the guys just wanted to get it done (well) but it was quite a traumatic move for me and I felt I was just another job.

We are genuinely pleased that you found us friendly, helpful and trustworthy, and that the move itself was completed carefully and professionally.
That said, we must admit we were quite surprised and disappointed by the 3-star rating. From our perspective, we went above and beyond throughout the process, accommodated all requests made to us, provided a very competitive quotation, and delivered the move exactly as agreed, with care and without any damage or issues.
It is also worth mentioning that this was not a straightforward move. We collected items from two separate locations and, in addition, our team dismantled and reassembled the bed for you at no extra charge. These were services we were happy to provide because we wanted to make the move as easy and stress-free as possible. We believe these are examples of us going the extra mile rather than simply doing the minimum required.
We completely understand that moving home can be an emotional and stressful experience, and we are sorry to hear that the day felt traumatic for you personally. However, this is the first time we have heard that you were hoping for a more social or conversational experience from the removal team. Unfortunately, this was never discussed with us beforehand, nor is it something we specifically promise as part of our service.
Our commitment is to provide a professional, efficient, careful and stress-free move, and from your own comments it appears that our team carried out the work well and handled your belongings with care. For this reason, we feel that a 3-star review does not accurately reflect the level of service that was provided.
We also feel it is important to mention that reviews like this can have a significant impact on small businesses such as ours. A 3-star review inevitably lowers our overall rating and may give prospective customers the impression that we failed to deliver an acceptable service or that something went wrong during the move, which was simply not the case here. We fulfilled everything that was promised and, in our view, delivered a great service from start to finish.
To be completely honest, if accommodating additional requests, collecting from two locations, providing dismantling and reassembly services at no extra cost, handling belongings with care, and completing the move without issues results in a 3-star review, then it leaves us questioning what more we could realistically have done. We are always looking to improve, but in this particular case we genuinely feel that the rating does not fairly reflect the service that was delivered.
We always welcome constructive feedback when something has gone wrong or when expectations have not been met. However, in this case, we are struggling to understand what aspect of the service warranted such a low rating when the move itself was completed successfully and professionally. If, after reflecting on the service received, you genuinely believe that 3 stars is an accurate representation of your experience, then we are sorry to hear that. Of course, we respect your opinion, but we must honestly say that we strongly disagree with that assessment and do not feel it fairly reflects the level of service, care and effort that was provided.
Nevertheless, we appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best in your new home.

Disappointing
We used Red Lion Removals in 2023 for a long-distance move and were genuinely impressed by their care and professionalism. Unfortunately, our October 2025 move within Reading was the complete opposite.
Despite being a simple local relocation, the service was disorganised and at times careless. Belongings were emptied onto beds, clothes were crumpled into the bottoms of wardrobes instead of hung, and clearly labelled boxes were delivered to the wrong rooms. Essential furniture hardware was even left behind at our previous address, causing further disruption.
The result was a stressful, chaotic unpacking process that should never have happened. When my husband raised these issues and shared photographs, the company dismissed our concerns, denied the problems outright, and offered no accountability.
The stark difference between the two moves speaks for itself. The poor service we received in 2025—and the company’s unwillingness to acknowledge legitimate feedback—is deeply disappointing.

The quote process via their website is quick and straightforward, and they don’t bombard you with annoying follow-up calls.
Their pricing is reasonable and open to negotiation depending on the actual items being moved.
The staff were professional, arrived on time, and handled the furniture, boxes, and white goods with great care using a Luton van. They were also helpful and willing to offer advice.
Well-equipped with all the necessary gear to protect doors, mattresses, and other items.

Competitive price and the guys moved us with great efficiency From Cardiff To Neath and were All Very polite and hard working.
They emptied the entire house In Cardiff within a few hours and then drove the 36 miles to my new home in neath and delivered our belongings, they even Dismantled and reassembled some of my belongings which I was grateful for, would definitely use this company again and

Fantastic company. They moved me from Somerset to wales. Very efficient and helpful. Every thing arrived in perfect condition as they packed the van properly and secured boxes as they went. 10 out of 10. I have moved 3 times and for the first time everything went according to schedule. The van and moving men arrived early to a very rural and remote location. Loaded the van meticulously and took great care with all fragile items . Arrived at the final destination. Emptied the van. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Would have no hesitation recommending them . They exceeded all expectations, brilliant.

Incredible service
Incredible service! Moving house is so stressful yet they made the day an amazing one. The hardest working and most professional team, while maintaining humour and energy throughout. They took all the stress out of the move for me. I couldn't believe how quickly they got it all done, even offering to put the furniture in the exact places I wanted it all to go in the new place. They could not have done more. Will definitely be using them again. Absolutely fantastic experience. I really can't say enough about them. Very highly recommended.

Received the received the last of my storage this morning after the move on 11th June. This company is outstanding. Everything packed, delivered unloaded and assembled with some put into storage with them which came back today all in perfect condition. It would be hard to find a better company. Great communication from start to finish.
Competitive price and the guys moved us with great efficiency and were polite and very hard working.
They emptied the entire house within a few hours and then drove 133 miles and delivered our belongings to a storage unit since our new house was not ready.
