They are currently ghosting me, after double-charging for a rental car that I need to go to my dying mother's side; and consequently staying for her memorial service. I could not be more disappointed.

UPDATE - this has been resolved to my satisfaction! Redtag has refunded the second charge - thank you RedTag!

Not happy with the person we booked with over the phone.
I paid for the Sunwing No Worry cancellation insurance ( travelling with kids can be tricky)
A few weeks before our trip I called redtag to ask how the insurance works IF we had to cancel. The person then tells me I had to pay redtag more money to cancel. I had asked many questions about the “ any” reason cancellation insurance . We booked on the phone with a person instead of online to be sure we had all the details. Yet the lady on the phone did not tell us that redtag charges their own cancellation fee on top of what we had already paid Sunwing for their insurance. I found this sneaky and not professional when I was asking questions about all possibilities with the cancelation insurance options. When questioned about the extra fee, she got snarky and said it was on page 5 of 20 In the fine print of documents (that were not even sent to us until shortly before the trip date) I would not recommend redtag , and I for sure will not use again. She was very misleading with information that I was specifically asking about. Hope you have/had better luck.

Hello I would just like to recognize…a travel agent at Red Tag

Hello I would just like to recognize wonderful Rhonda (ext.25868). She was the best agent I've ever had to deal with. She was helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable and always went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable with any decisions I was making. Hire more staff like Rhonda and people will definitely use Red Tag!

This airline is horrible

This airline is horrible. Attendants on the flight just talk among each other while having their passengers wait over two hours due to “technical difficulties” you’d think they would be walking around offering headphones or free drinks. No they hand out water and go back to talking. No accommodations with this airline and I’ve seen a lot better as this is my 6 flight, unfortunately with this airline. I RECOMMEND SUNWING!! Pay more if you have to, you pay for an early flight and they set you back and offer no accommodations. Really sad that all these girls care about is gossiping. Go back to school and get your education if you can’t do your job correctly. Shame on this airline and the people that work for them.

Terrible Customer Service

I booked a trip to Cuba back in December of last year. Tried to get a credit applied for a new trip or refund. They didn't do anything for me, and showed zero initiative to offer any solution. I was still held to pay the entire amount past the initial deposit for the trip even though the country is not accepting flights, has an oil embargo and all resorts being closed down.

I am writing this review hoping this information will be helpful to any Redtag customer who paid online for a vacation, did not receive a confirmation, saw the credit card charged for the trip and had no way to contact the site (left on hold for hours on the phone, emails not answered, chat option unavailable).
After the above mentioned situation happened, I saw the charge in my credit was from Sunwing. I remembered I had an account with Sunwing from a previous vacation and logged in. Since I did not have a booking number or confirmation number, I entered my trip information (departure date) and taraaaaan! I got all my travel documents, and all the information I needed. Not through Redtag (never using them again!) but through Sunwing.
I did have good experiences in with Redtag booking hotels in the past but after the stress they put me through and after spending a whole day thinking I got scammed, I do not recommend the site to anyone.

I booked a trip to Riviera Maya for my…

I booked a trip to Riviera Maya for my wife and I. I did so on my android phone. Filled out all the information needed, added my credit card information. And the last step was to click a tab to pay for it. I tried but nothing happened, so I went through it all again. Making sure everything was correct. Still didn't work. So I called the 1888 number on bottom of page to get help. A man finally answered, and I told him my problem. He said he wanted to check if it was paid. So I gave him my name. He found my info, and asked if I was using a android phone, tablet or iPhone. I told him I was. He told me he deals with this lots, for some reason it won't send proper information to these phones. But no problem he said I can finish it for you. Then he told me the price that was over $1000 higher. I said no way its too high. He said that is the real price. So I hung up. Immediately I went on my desktop computer and processed the exact same trip for the original price that I had on my phone. Obviously he is trying to make himself a big commission by misleading me. Shame on you redtag!

Redtag Offers Hotels in Dangerous Parts of Frankfurt

I recently booked a trip to Frankfurt, Germany, December 17 - 27, 2025, with accommodation at The Grand Downtown Hotel, Frankfurt.
The reviews offered on their site about the hotel were positive. In reality, the hotel was clean and in need of minor repairs. However, it was located in the most dangerous neighbourhood in all of Frankfurt. Open drug use goes on just outside the doors of the hotel, and gangs of youth shelter in doorways. I witnessed men using syringes and crack pipes. I felt mortally unsafe, and I think it's miraculous I did not end up a victim of crime. Redtag should be ashamed for not adequately warning clients

I jus came back from Los Cactus in Cuba…

I jus came back from Los Cactus in Cuba It was a Terrible experience 2 of my friends got food poisoning the Hotel was never maintained the food was inferior the beach was very nice and the people very friendly. All the hotels under Sunwing are owned by the government. The hotel workers are living on tips to maintain a living .All the profits Are going to the Cuban government. its going down the hill every year. by the way most units have no hot water I was lucky my email is

The worst customer service

Extremely disappointing customer service. Their so-called “price guarantee” is misleading and practically useless. I was told it only applies on the same day, meaning if you book at 8 PM, the price is no longer guaranteed the following morning—even though it’s less than 24 hours later and before their office even opens.

What’s worse, while I was on the phone trying to book, they raised the price, even though their own website was still showing a lower rate at the exact same time. Instead of honoring the online price, they tried to pressure us into booking a more expensive airline vacation package.

Overall, this felt dishonest and frustrating. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

As 2 senior couples we wanted to book…

As 2 senior couples we wanted to book an all inclusive vacation to Mexico. We started on the website but encountered several issues that instructed us to call the call centre. We called and although the wait was fairly lengthy it was well worth the wait.
We spoke with Cherie (who was awesome) and she worked through the process of booking travel for 2 couples that wanted to travel together. Cherie took her time and was able to make the process clear, concise and easy. She was super friendly and made sure that everything was done correctly.
We are so glad that we called because Cherie was able to do things that we couldn’t do on the website. She spent almost an hour working with us to get our vacation planned.
I would definitely recommend calling over using the website.
Thanks Cherie for your help and making the process super smooth.

The customer service is TERRIBLE

The customer service is TERRIBLE. Hold times are extreme, agents are not helpful at all. I was told to call back to speak to another department, I had to ask if I could be transferred then the agent advised they had to see if it was possible. The site is inaccurate, they have vacations showing available but when you go to select it it's not actually available which is frustrating.

Once you paid the money they can do anything to you

We booked December vacation in Mexico in July. We picked return flight from Cancun at 1:30 pm on December 18, 2025 with arriving to Toronto at 5:30 pm on the same day and received booking confirmation from redtag.ca. On November 26, 2025 we received e-tickets with flight WS2777 from Cancun at 10:15 PM on December 18, 2025 and arriving to Toronto at 2:16 AM on December 19. They moved flight departure time for 9 hours! Check out time in hotel is at 12pm. Imagine sitting in hotel hall for 7 hours and another 3 hours in airport. On top of that we got home not at the evening of December 18 as we planned, buy at 3 am in December 19 and in the morning had to go to work. That is NOT what we booked originally! I am not saying about "cattle truck" airplane where back of the seats can not be moved at all and seat rows are so close to each other that my husband (6'4") had to keep his legs in the isle all the time.
Next time we will think twice before dealing with redtag.ca and NexusTours and if we have an alternative we will never deal with them again.

You cannot specify how many beds in a room.

As usual, when booking vacations I check with two or three providers. In this instance I was looking for a trip to the Caribbean. I am traveling with my three sons. Yes we are family, however my adult sons do not want to share a bed with each other. I was advised by Red Tag staff that they cannot guarantee special requests. So, you expect them to share a bed? Or their resolution was to book four rooms in an all-inclusive package to the caribbean? That is not happening when literally every other provider would not do that. I understand special requests for room types and I want to be closer to the pool I want to be on the top floor. I want to be away from an elevator that could be considered a special request unless they have Mobility issues. But are you serious you want two adult men who are not in a relationship with each other to share a bed? Absolutely not, the other two agencies had zero problem booking rooms with two beds each.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH RED TAG AND WILL NEVER USE AGAIN!! Attempted to book an All Inclusive package for 2 today to Los Cabo’s. All information was given, credit card charged and confirmation left open as processing. When we finally reached a LIVE representative she confirmed that they can not process the vacation (because they don’t have a hotel room) and your credit will be refunded in approximately 2-3 business days. When we spoke to the representative for the CIBC Visa company they were even less helpful and said the credit card will be refunded in up to 5 business days. Horrible Horrible customer service and shame on Red Tag. Maybe charge the credit card after you can produce the Product. Shame on Red Tag (and CIBC Visa). Fortunately we are now booked through West Jet Vacation (Thank You West Jet). And will Never use this sorry excuse for a travel agency again. BE VERY CAREFUL BOOKING YOUR BLACK FRIDAY VACATION OR ANY VACATION THROUGH THIS RED TAG COMPANY!!

Save your money!!

Booked an all inclusive package to Punta Cana and after all the correct information was put in, including credit card for a certain price , I received an email saying that confirmation is still pending due to an error.
After being on hold for 1 hour I was able to speak with someone telling me that unfortunately price went up. Unfortunately I had to buy at the higher price. I felt like I was getting robbed!!
Next day I checked again for the same package price was down again. when I called next day, to investigate and readjust my booking,they said that either airline or hotel
rises the prices because they saw a
lot of activities . How is that fair?! And the call rep tells this info to the customers?
Shame to them never ever book with Red tag again unless they reach out to me to rectify the situation. Nor will I recommend them to any family or friends. Better spend your money somewhere else.
