I'd like to give this company 0 stars. I bought a computer from them in Mar'25, it failed and was returned, the replacement was received but it was a significant downgrade, so it was returned Sept'25. Since then I have received nothing from them and they no longer answer emails or phone calls. Until the last return was received by them Kellyr was responsive, but now apparently she has ghosted me. It is too bad, since a previous purchase from them was good, although as noted from the dates, their shipping/returns are extremely slow, as are their replies to emails or RMAs.

Rude customer service

Rude customer service, absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. After not having respected the shipping delays ( I had to travel and nobody to collect the package for me ) after I have paid for express shipping, I have tried to accommodate and give them another address which they did not want to ship the item to, claiming that it's impossible through PayPal. When I got enough of the back and forth and requested a refund, they withheld the shipping fee which made 0 sense since they didn't even respect those delays. After all of this, when I called the situation unacceptable, the Customer Service Manager Kelly R decided to add insult to injury and said and I quote: "What’s unacceptable is you committing fraud , the address was not verified and you changing address is a huge indication of fraud" . When the Customer service manager speaks in such a way, what do you even expect the rest of the team to do. Horrible experience all together.

Super Slow Delivery

Super Slow Delivery. Their customer service or lack of customer service is very disappointing. I did get the desktop but had to file too many complaints including to my credit card company to get them to send out my computer. Will NOT buy from again.

DO NOT ORDER from this website

I ordered a refurbished small form factor laptop on Nov 6 and have not received anything as of Dec 11. They fail to reply to my followup emails after responding to an initial email I sent inquiring about the staff of my order. They provided tracking info after my initial email that says 'Electronic information submitted by shipper' but has had no other updates since. I have emailed back numerous times asking for updates, and then to cancel my order and issue a refund and have had no contact back from them. This is a scam website, DO NOT ORDER anything unless you want to be ripped off.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I have sent three emails to find out why UPS has not received my order over a week after the shipping label had been created and no response. I have a feeling that this website is a scam.

I ordered at the beginning of October…

I ordered at the beginning of October and it’s now almost the end of November. My order still hasn’t got delivered. I’m giving 1 star because of customer service as I reached out to refurbish canada on email 3 times in the last month and they do not answer. That’s the least they can do for their customers

Don't waste your time behind this website, phone number, emails, anywhere you won't get a response, literally, the people behind this scam website will ghost you. Even if you will receive something it will be way past the expected time, regardless how much you pay for the shipping

I might change this review later. So far zero communication after multiple emails, ordered unfullfiled despite there showing "available" stock on shopify storefront. I'll be waiting until Monday the 24th before taking further action. My elderly father made the purchase as he needed a new basic computer, now he's out $$. Update Refurbish Canada is threatening to remove my review unless I provide proof of transaction which I sent. UPDATE Nov 23 2025: After posting my updatded TrustPilot review, the company created a shipping label overnight(last night) for my father’s Nov 11 order. As of now, the package has a label but hasn’t been handed to the courier. For clarity: payment was taken, no emails or calls were returned for over a week, and I provided full order details to both the company and TrustPilot. Their only reply came publicly on TrustPilot and incorrectly stated I wasn’t a valid customer, despite assisting my elderly father. I’ll update again once the item is actually shipped and delivered. My goal is to share an accurate and transparent account for other customers. As TrustPilot seems to be the only way I can communicate with them, I am also asking them to furnish their GST/HST/QST Registration number either directly or via an official invoice. I will keep everyone updated and look forward to updating this review to be more favorable.

If you want to communicate with us , we ask you to email us using the email address you placed the purchase , PLEASE !

You will then see following information which you are looking for. if you still cannot find the following information please get back to us at support @ refurbishcanada.ca and we will sort this out by replying to the email address that the order was placed.

We do not respond or cannot confirm information emails from a different email address than the original order to avoid any issues , discrepancies, avoid scams & fraudulent activities. We take our customers private information and sensitive information very seriously.
After reviewing the inbox and following up with the customer service team the CS team has confirmed the request came from a different email address , however if you logon using the correct email address which the order was placed you will see the following information.

We have the right to protect our customers and request necessary information about any false or incorrect reviews if we see any discrepancies. We ask you to continue sending us emails and information using the email address which the order was placed from, any other request or emails will be ignored to avoid issues as mentioned above.

Furthermore , you or your father have selected the 7-14 business days for the following item to arrive and it is set to arrive before the selected shipping option. In the future please remember to select a more expedited option if you need the item earlier than the selected option. Faster shipping cost more money and regular shipping cost less & will require more time and patience.

Refurbish Canada Staff

Long delay, poor quality, and dirty laptop.

Needed a spare temp laptop for a few days, and I came across Refurbish Canada’s website.

I bought a “Grade A” refurbished laptop. Paid a bit extra for ram upgrade. After two weeks of no status updates, I sent a polite, short email asking about the status of the order. No response. After another two weeks, I sent another short polite email. Again, no response. Doesn’t the website say fast shipping?

Instead, two days after the second email, they sent notification that my order was shipping. What I received a few days later was... disappointing.

The laptop was extremely dirty. In fact, in retrospect, it was gross. Maybe the previous owner was a smoker? It took 11 lysol wipes before the wipes were no longer brown in colour.

The Ethernet port was cracked. There were paint flecks all over the laptop as well. Just overall, a very poor quality laptop. Did I somehow offend someone by asking for an order update?

It is particularly disappointing, because for some, this is all they can afford. While this was an extra laptop for me, I would hate for others to go through this experience.

I didn’t bother contacting them about the issues, because I have doubts they even care or would address it. I truly just don’t want others to go through this experience as well.

At least I eventually received a product and it was working, so two stars for that.

Some follow-up after review

Attention after review - I received a notification after writing my first TrustPilot review they were taking action to send me the correct units and they were on the way. Unfortunately, only 1 was in the box. I have sent 3 photos proving this to the CSR and RMA team and requesting the second/final unit. Kudos for acting, but why did it take a negative review for them to actually read their emails? I have been emailing them for weeks.

Hi Mark , I explained through email in regards to this issue. The order / replacement was put on hold therefore it was not on our weekly checklist/SLA , we have added a new step in terms of your situation (RMA on hold) per the customer request due for any reason for this not to happen again.
I have recently verified that both packages for the 2 units have now been delivered.

There was an expedited shipping delay. After the 2 day delivery was a week late and i had tried 4 different contact emails with no response i filed a dispute with PayPal, i had a response within 20 minutes and did receive the Thinkpad in good condition, I was surprised with a better machine than i ordered. They upgraded to a dedicated GPU and a high res screen as a favour because of the shipping delay. Then i noticed the internal main laptop battery is missing and only an external swappable battery is running the machine so now i have to disassemble the laptop to install a proper battery. In the end I am OK with the purchase and the upgrades but i had no contact at all every day for 8 business days and was ready to cancel payment.

Over a month and no product and very little info

I placed my order on Oct 7th and paid for it Oct 8th, I have not received anything as of Nov 10 and in reaching out for information I did receive and email thanking me for my order and a shipping label was produced on Oct 27th but nothing has been shipped according to the shipper, and no other information has been provided by Refurbish Canada. And there seems to be no way to be able to talk to somebody at the company for an explanation about the delay. At this point I would like to know if Refurbish Canada has any intention of fulfilling their obligation to me.

Waited 2 days

They sent me a notification that my parcel was about to be sent to the shipper I paid for then waited 2 full days before sending it using another shipper I did not trust. I also asked them to cancel my order if it wasn't going to arrive before the weekend, which should have been if they stuck to the initial shipping notification.

By both ignoring my shipper preference and ignoring my cancellation request, I do not recommend them.

Took forever

Took forever - was constantly having to chase up people. Finally got answers when I filed a complaint with Paypal - the whole process was extremely frustrating. Took over a month to finally recieve everything.

Luckily the computers atleast work.
