Scam. Will not return my laptop.

The owner of this shady company rebooted minifree.org as retrofreedom.org (reviews also available on Trustpilot).
Previously he was scamming buyers so I'm posting this as a warning of Francis Rowe (now a "woman" who calls himself Lea), the CEO of this company.
Francis also stands behind Richard Stallman, who has been accused of sexist behavior.

This business is a scam. The owner just renamed her previous company, Minifree, which stole money from many people. See the reviews for story after story. I placed a $450 order over 14 months ago, and I have never received the product or a refund, and the owner has never returned any emails (except for the first one where I asked how to send my money). And since she will only take wire transfers or bitcoin, any possible refund is at the whim of the owner. Apparently *some* people get their products eventually, so I guess if you're the gambling type, have at it.

While I don't have experience with the old launch (minifree.org), I actually bought an X200 from Leah's new site earlier this week. Arrived 2 days later in excellent condition, and all the relevant kit.

Good service, good communication and I got everything I expected, despite what some of the suspiciously early reviews might have you believe.

For anyone curious - the old site, minifree.org, was relaunched as retrofreedom.com. There's a good article on the new site explaining the situation.

I've been made aware on Leah Rohes Twitter page that minifree was launching under new name. I'm using this opportunity to warn everyone who reads this that they will most likely have a bad experience here (see my minifree review from a while ago).

I'll review my experience once some time has passed. Like the guys from 'Rip off Britain' do ;)
So far I've nothing to add other than to take care of yourself in these times! There are scammers everywhere.

Buyers beware! The same person infamous for defrauding customers on Minifree.org runs Retrofreedom.org. I took this information from their own Twitter account if you want to verify their user name is 'n4of7'.
Leah Rowe changed the business name to run another scam.

What a shame that people like this are allowed to run a business, this wouldn't work in Canada where we have rules against fraud that don't seem to exist in the UK.
