Truly awful AVOID
Truly awful AVOID. Not only was the first picture an abomination they then charged me twice in the following month and have been sending me the same message from a bot calling me "dear" saying tough you signed up for it. I did not sign up for this.
Please avoid at all costs - genuinely this is a total rip off.
Subsequent to their reply (below) i've received this response: Hello dear,
Thank you for reaching out to me again.
I understand your concern regarding the two charges in July, and I would be happy to explain this for you.
The subscription payment is collected every 4 weeks (28 days) rather than once a calendar month. Because of this 28-day billing cycle, there are periods where two payments will fall within the same calendar month—in this case, on July 1st and July 29th.

Same as all the others on here I think paid £1 for 1 pick what was completely altered but ok and now just had £31.21 took out of my account hope they can sort this have contacted them but no answer as yet.need a refund and a subscription cancelled

Selected the low-cost trial. Result wasn't satisfactory. Now I'm being charged as though I'd signed up for the full on-going service despire requests to opt out of the scam. Can't remember when I first looked at the low-cost trial.

What made Revive Memories special was the help I received when I needed help and explanations. Then the product and the fast immediate turn around on the spot ~ really was amazing. Now, it may take a few adventures with your pictures to understand which pictures are best to use. Other than that, use your imagination! Be creative and enjoy! ~ g2000edwin

I do not recommend this service
I do not recommend this service. I signed up after seeing their Facebook advertisement, believing I was paying $1 USD for a single photo restoration. Instead, I later discovered a $39.90 recurring subscription charged through PayPal — a subscription I never knowingly agreed to.
This feels like a deliberate tactic: lure customers in with a low-cost offer, then quietly enroll them in a monthly plan. Had I not checked my PayPal activity, this charge would have continued unnoticed.
I contacted Revive Memories and spoke with an attendant named Mary, but nothing was resolved. I explained clearly that I never agreed to a subscription and only wanted one photo restored. They refused to issue a refund.
In my experience, this is misleading advertising and poor business practice. Please be cautious with their Facebook promotions.

I am very cautious when paying for anything I purchase over the internet to ensure I do not end up in subscription service. I actively look for such things. Revive Memories gives no indication you are subscribing.
EDIT: I contacted Revive Memories and they have refunded the subscripton fee. The subscription is part of the lengthy terms and conditions you agree to when using the site and paying £1 to try it out. The subscription appears somewhere in the middle of the Terms and Conditions which is accessed at the bottom of their page.
I tried one photo, paid £1 for it and was unhappy with the results. I have not visited their siite since.
They just charged me £40 for a subscription that I had no indication / email / message given.
Very dubious practice.

Refusal to refund a payment of $70.75…
Refusal to refund a payment of $70.75 for a subscription i didnt sign up for. Paid $1.00 for a photo, their website crashes many times while I tried to load photo and pay.
Don't bother sending emails or asking questions etc they dont answer these. To correspond with them you have ro tick a box accepting their terms and conditions. Any request asking them to cancel the so called subscription they reply "you.have to go to their.web sites and do it yourself. Oh and dont forget to tick the box agreeing to their terms and conditions.
Then you get an email saying your subscription has been cancelled and any payments made (iny case stolen) are non refundable
NEVER received any acknowledgement of so calldsubscription. They took the funds directly from my bank account. Couldn't down load the 1 photo to my phone, you have to go to their website. I have notified NZ Commers Comiddion, Facebook and my bank. Expensive $71.75 for 1 photo from a scam company who ads are misleading just out to fraudulent scam you.

The program is substandard and practices are questionable
The program is substandard and most phones can achieve the same results. The company does not make it clear there will be an automatic payment put in place and does not remind you that your 7 day trial is coming to an end resulting in a full payment coming out. No refund is available. A second rate program and dodgy practices.

First of all I was charged a dollar for a trial membership. My picture was never created. I never got my dollar back. And luckily I found that I was going to be charged a monthly fee I was able to cancel that luckily. They are ripping people off and not fulfilling offers. Absolutely scammers. Paid $1 for a picture and it was crap, then noticed i had a email saying thanks for the payment of $39.90 to these so checked my PayPal account and the cheeky f*****s have helped themselves to 2 payments out of my account. Opened a PayPal case against them. Do not do the $1 picture or they help themselves to more money out of account.

Scam to suck you in!
Like all the other reviews I signed up for the $1 photo opportunity and low and behold 5 days later my account was debited $39.90 (just under $71 NZD). And like the others, I didn't see anywhere during the sign up process that it was a 7 day trial and would be charged if not canceled. I would not have continued if I had!
I certainly wouldn't pay that amount for the product received.
After reading through the reviews I see they have the same answer every time.
MAKE IT CLEARER THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED WITHIN THE 7 DAYS NOT AFTER. THAT YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR A SUBSCRIPTION. IT IS NOT A ONE TIME COST.
Feel completely ripped off and they have tarnished a precious memory of my deceased parents so 😭

7 day trial Notification
Now you would think that a company would send you out a notice on the 6th day of the promotion stating that a monthly subscription would happen the following day (the 7th day). They don't do this hoping people will forget the 7th day and they get their ongoing subscription rate. So Beware!
I was able to get a refund of $39.90 for the subscription as I had canceled on the 7th day after contacting the help email attn: Emma as to using the support email. This company provides the service they advertise, but as many emails I recieved from them, a notice about the trial ending would have been a better service but not provided.

Paid a dollar to see how this worked, but not impressed with the results. Four days later I find that they have taken $39.90 from my PayPal account. I DID NOT subscribe to this, and am angry that they took money from me without my knowing. I am trying to cancel this with PayPal and make sure this company takes no more from me. They should be completely transparent about money being taken and subscriptions, and clearly they ARE NOT.
