Dreadful customer services.

Dreadful customer services.
Garden pot broken on delivery, still waiting for refund over a month. Numerous e-mails and phone calls. Thought it would be better to phone and speak to a human because I was not getting anywhere with e-mails and suspected I was being replied to by a robot but the customer services representitives on the telephone have all been completely useless and do not seem to understand anything that's going on.

Wish I had saw these reviews before buying BUT WILL NEVER BUY FROM ROBERT DYAS again

What seemed an easy task was buying a bed online from Robert Dyas... what a mistake that turned out to be. I was given a delivery date of 14 April, I had to email them to let them know that I couldn't take delivery then as I was on holiday. They said that they couldn't change the date of delivery as they don't control delivery dates. On 30th March, I got a message saying that the bed would be delivered on 31st March. Took day off and waited, no bed! Phoned DX who were supposed to be delivering it and they informed me that they hadn't taken receipt of the bed yet. I was told to phone them back next day as they would contact bed manufacturer and the lady told me to contact Robert Dyas. I did was offered 10% off next purchase... I told them that I was going on holiday on 3rd April and they said bed would probably be delivered the next day. Another day off! No bed! phoned DX again and they still didn't have the bed to deliver. So phoned Robert Dyas again who told me that the bed was still at the manufacturers and she offered me a refund. I will never use this company again and I am surprised it is still in business as this seems to be an ongoing result for many of it's customers. Shocking way to run a business!

ABSOLUTE LIARS IN CUSTOMER SERVICES
We ordered a shed and was advised it would be delivered to our house NO LATER than 4th March so my wife stayed in all day. Nothing arrived and not a single phone call to up date us. They just say "You will receive an email" Who sits starring at their emails all day?

We have now received an another email from them stating it could be delivered today or tomorrow, 5th or 6th. Terrible customer service. Don't offer a service you cannot provide.

* UPDATE. The delivery slot 3 days late has also been missed and we are STILL WAITING. 3 days missed from work and no offer of compensation. I would advise people to go. elsewhere

*** UPDATE, we are now over £1,000 out of pocket for missed work and after using my valuable time to call “customer services” we have now been told it will be here at 6PM !!! AND THATS AFTER RECEIVING TRACKING NOTIFICATION WE WERE THE NEXT STOP AT 11.42AM.

*** UPDATE, As expected one again the shed never arrived, no phone call from the couriers or Rober Dyas for an update. We are now waiting to see if our NEXT DAY DELIVERY purchase on 28/02 will arrive on 7/3/26 and if anyone from Robert Dyas ACTUALLY gets in touch to give us an update. If I ran my business the way ROBERT DYAS does I would have no customers. 🤬.

FINAL UPDATE. CUSTOMER SERVICES ARE ABSOLUTE LIARS. TRIED TELLING ME THEY HAD ATTEMPTED DELIVERY TO A HOUSE WITH A WHITE DOOR.

1, WE WERE IN ALL DAY (3 days),

2 WE HAVE CCTV!

3, OUR DOOR IS BROWN!!!

WHEN I CONFRONTED THEM WITH THIS INFORMATION THE AGENT IN “TRANSPORT” ALSO SEEMED TO HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO PROCESS MY REFUND IMMEDIATEY…..

THEY HAD NO INTENTION OF DELIVERING WHAT WE HAD-ORDERED AND PAID FOR, PROBABLY DIDNT EVEN HAVE STOCK.

AVOID AVOID AVOID.

ON THE PLUS SIDE AOSOM.COM HAD THE SAME ITEM CHEAPER SO WE WENT TO THEM INSTEAD

we have it in writing we are getting a full refund otherwise we are going legal with moneyclaim online for a CCJ against them

My toaster failed after 14 months and customer services informed me that the product was outside their 1 year guarantee period. They referred me to Swan but they referred me back to Robert Dyas because the product is exclusively supplied to them and not covered by their 2 year guarantee. Even having supplied me with a special reference number Robert Dyas refused to accept responsibility.

Delivery Is Deplorable

So, having purchased an electrical item form Robertdyas we were informed DPD, was their chosen courier. They only.give a hr delivery slot so we waited in all day in anticipation. Sometime after 20:00 the DPD tacking system removed "delivery today" comments with some comments about they couldn't deliver and would be next day. However, during out notified delivery time slot we received an message saying they tried to deliver with an image of "the wrong house", not even in the same area. We now have to waste yet another day waiting on another committed delivery day.
We were considering a large garden item from Robertdyas but from this exceptionally poor service, we're looking elsewhere. We realise it's DPD issue but it's Robertdyas chosen courier.

Misleading information on the website

Misleading information on the website. Don't rely on what you see about in stock. They blame it all on their suppliers. They don't like giving refunds. They try and get you to claim for it. This the first and last time of using this company.

i ordered a mattress from robert dyas they put the wrong house no on it it was heavy so icouldnt lift it to bring it to our house the driver who brought another one would not take it back still waiting for them to pick up the first one

Soooo Annoyed!! Do not buy from here!!

Soooo Annoyed!! I would give less than a zero, i oredered a bike for my son which they cancelled the order themselves and when i called could not give me an answer as to why it was cancelled. The bike still shows as in stock on the website. Very very unhelpful and im so annoyed because the bike will not come on time for my sons birthday now.

If I could give it zero

If I could give it zero, I would. Lightbulb was faulty, missing one of the metal connectors. Refused refund for £6.99. The branch manager at Amersham was dismissive and really rude! Total joke.

Impossible to make a return

I bought an expensive Item which didn’t arrive on time despite ordering ‘in time for Christma eve delivery’ on the website: I want to return the item that arrived late but it’s Impossible to make a return , It can’t be returned in store I learned as it was sent by Robert Dyas’ ‘trusted partner’ . I called customer services who said they’d have the trusted supplier’ send me a returns label but this has not happened. I Followed up twice and not resolved.

Do not buy from Robert dyas online! Using scam suppliers!

I ordered something urgently online at Robert dyas and today at 7pm I received an email from ‘MH Star Doncaster’ confirming ‘your parcel is with DHL and due for delivery today’. I was obviously concerned by this, as it was already 7pm when this email was received and it is unlikely DHL are delivering at such late times.
I then checked the tracking directly with DHL and it shows there was an ‘intervention’ (no idea what this means). I then get notified by DHL that my parcel was not given to them by the sender.

If you are confused by my review; then you can understand how confused I am with this information. I have looked at reviews from MH Star and to my surprise they are absolutely awful and people rarely receive their items. Most calling this third party provider a scam.

At no point when ordering this item directly with Robert dyas was it stated they have a third party company dealing with my order. If this was confirmed, I would have checked reviews and most definitely not ordered.

I will never purchase with Robert dyas again and would advise anyone who is ordering online to avoid/check MH star reviews themselves.

I have no idea where my parcel is, who I am meant to contact and highly suspect I will not receive my item. I would like Robert dyas to address my concerns and provide me with an accurate tracking of my order.

Wish I had saw these reviews before buying but will never buy from here again

I ordered item was to be delivered 20th Dec never arrived next delivery date 24th numerous emails to robert dyas/Yodel to which robert dyas did respond nothing from yodel. Anyway phone call robert dyas out for delivery on 28th still did not arrive checked tracking new date will arrive yesterday 30th funny that states at depot not out for delivery phoned robert dyas she checked into it its been lost refund on the way. I will never buy from here again. However i did find customer services helpfull and polite.

My first and last time using Robert Dyas

My first time using Robert Dyas and won't use this company again. Ordered 2 items and paid for next day delivery. Received order acknowledgement for 1 item, for some days hence. When queried, I was informed next day delivery only applied to goods delivered directly from their warehouse. The 1 item despatched from their warehouse DID NOT ARRIVE NEXT DAY - the service I paid for. I have requested a refund of the next day delivery charge, but had no response. Feel this is just a way for them to make extra money.

Really as bad as the people’s review!

Although Robert days sent an email to say my order will arrive today it was not delivered. There is no phone number or email you can use out of office hours. I read the reviews so they are a really bad company! Don’t put yourself through this and pay for it. I am 88 years old and I really need the two heaters I bought.

Placed order thurs morn, paid extra for next day del on fri 19th dec.
Had email saying despatched, and track via yodel..
Today checked tracking...yodel not even collected item at midday !!

Called dias cust team..confirmed not even packed in their own warehouse !!!!

What is point of having day off work to wait for £££ next day delivery, and they cant even be arsed to say sorry or email to let you know it aint coming ???!!!

Offered refund of extra paid for next day..thats it !!!

cancelled whole order...will use a refutable company instead !!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE...WISH I HAD SEEN THESE 1 STAR RATINGS FIRST.

COMPANY NEEDS CLOSING DOWN...DISGUSTING.

And the worst lying dreadfull company goes to ROBERT DYAS

Wish i could give minus stars, but i cant.
Ordered 2 claire de lume footmuffs , only recieved 1. Called them right away, they lied and said sorry will send another out this was weeks ago. None came
Called again. They appologised still nothing came. Called again, they sais they spoke to supplier and thy will send one out. None came ...and again none came. Called today, and yes they daid they called supplier oh and this time wanted a photo of item i didnt get and a photo of place it was not left ....what a joke..... what a rude lying member of staff. All of them actually. I called Supplier myself and guess what they had not been contacted untill today.... they sent one out right away by fed ex and gave me tracking number.....

DO NOT USE - Awful

3 items ordered, 2 delivered, Robert Dyas keep blaming their supplier for not actioning the issue.

My purchase is with Robert Dyas, their 3rd party supplier issues are not my problem, that’s a Robert Dyas problem to resolve and I am not being given any resolution other than we are speaking to our supplier.

The outstanding item is a £77 perfume gift set ordered 2 weeks ago, it is now 2 weeks until Christmas and no update or delivery tracking number has been provided.

I have requested a refund as a resolution based on the lack of delivery tracking number provision and my next step will be to contact the PayPal resolution team. Fortunately I made my purchase with PayPal.

I would strongly advise to purchase your items elsewhere, even if it cost a few £ more, dealing with Robert Dyas and Their customer services team is horrendous.

If/when a suitable resolution is found by Robert Dyas I will update, or update further with the action taken through PayPal.

Do not buy from Robert Dyas the overseas customer care team are horrendous to deal with

Bought a 20foot inflatable waving snowman for garden as Christmas decoration. It arrived and the item was damaged the loop on upper side. One on five kind of loops was connected very loosely you could see gaps in stitching. And as soon as it was inflated the stitching burst and loop came away. I have been repeatedly reporting this to Robert Dyas customers service email address and there live chat. I have sent over 35 emails since 1st of December all with 3-5 images of the damage. I have had 12 emails back saying there's have been no images sent to them. Despite me having replies back from Robert Dyas showing the images. So somehow the Robert Dyas UK system does the automatic response email but it doesn't forward on the full email with images to the overseas far east customer care team. Claim they don't receive them.i submitted them to the web chat several times and somehow a manager found them today....Then they asked for more. I have been cut off by Robert Dyas Ryman staff over ten times in the last week. Livid doesn't come close to describe my mood. I had been a customer for over a decade. This will be my last transaction with them. The company is absolutely useless
