RockIT Repairs started in December of 2012 in a small room at the George Washington Executive Center in downtown Fredericksburg. Quickly the demand for our repair services grew and we relocated to the 2,000 square foot facility at 1319 Lafayette Boulevard in March of 2013. We now service over 1000+ customers a month through our current location.

Incompetent

RockIT held on to my device for 3 weeks with no call. When I went back in they said they "couldn't figure it out" and gave it back to me. (I was using them as the local repair shop for my Square Trade warranty.) They also hadn't tried one really obvious work-around to narrow down the problem. The person at the counter was completely clueless, mainly because the repair tech had given him very little info on the paperwork to go by.
So, I went to plan B and shipped it to the Square Trade repair shop, who repaired and returned it within ONE WEEK.
So much for trying to support local businesses.

I am sorry that we could not fix your laptop. We are generally successful on most repairs but these types of things do arise in this business. This is not an excuse but we only want to fix our customers device as this is what keeps us in business. I will discuss with our staff and figure out what the communication gap was with the person at the counter, as this is not how we would like to operate. Happy to have my phone back and working!!

I sent my phone in to RockIT Repairs for water damage, my phone would boot but would never get past the startup screen. When they received my phone they let me know and as soon as they did they're diagnostics/repair on it that it would now turn on and function but that the outward facing camera needed to be replaced. I had them replace it and received my phone shortly after. The phone would turn on and function just as stated. However, several feature on my phone no longer work, I'm sure it's due to the water damage and nothing RockIT did though. My screen rotation no longer works(Camera stuck in Horizontal mode too), speaker is muffled sounding, phone randomly resets without initiating. The repair was much cheaper than purchasing a new phone so I am thankful for the service and would use again.

Repairs were not successful and no customer service

I first talked to a representative on the phone about the repair I was looking at having done to my device. I was told this is a common repair and they have great success in getting it fixed and operating properly quickly. I sent our device for the repair. They did send me a picture in an email to "Show me" that the repair was a success. When I received the device in the mail a few days later it still did not work. I called to ask and they told me it worked before they shipped it and they sent the picture as proof. I was told either sorry or I could ship it back and pay to have it fixed again. Very disappointed in the service and repair. It woudl have been better for them to simply say "We can't fix that." Then I would not have wasted my money on shipping and cost.

We have a 90 day warranty with our repair service. We do take pictures of the device charging and you said you did receive this and it was charging in the picture. If you received it back and it was not charging it could be the charging cable or the usb port is not the correct voltage for that device. We do have a 90 day warranty and you can send it back in within 90 days and we will fix for free. I am not sure who said that you would be charged but this is not the case. I am sorry and look forward to getting your device back in and checking it out for you.

Zero communication

My experience was so bad, there was nothing to pay them for. They did not fix my phone, and still charged me $29. They did not do anything to minimize the water damage. I got absolutely no communication from them, eventually just picked up my phone and left. I sent a snail mail letter outlining my dissatisfaction. (No answer....no surprise.). I hope they've improved since then.

I am sorry that you had issues with service. The water damage repair service is $25 to go through the process as it takes around 3-4 hours of a technicians time to complete the process. Excellent Shop with Quality Results

I am responsible for hundreds of mobile devices at my company. I have taken many iPhones and devices to be repaired with excellent results. Excellent work, competitive fees, and great customer service.

Fast, Professional Service

I was traveling to Virginia for business meetings, and when I arrived I discovered that the hard drive on my laptop had crashed. It was essential to have a working computer or my entire weeklong trip would be wasted. I took the laptop to RockIT and they installed a new (and larger!) hard drive, complete with Windows image, by the next morning. I used Carbonite to restore all my essential files that night at the hotel, and my trip was saved.

The techs at RockIT were fast, competent, and very good at communicating with me where they were in the process. I found their prices to be very reasonable too.

I sent my Kindle Fire HD 7 in as I have always had a lot of trouble with the battery. They fixed the charge port but I had called and spoken with several people asking if they would also check to see if the battery itself needed replacing. They did not check or replace the battery and I am still having issues with the battery draining within 2 hours. Now it also is draining while it is plugged into the adapter if it is turned on. I am left searching the internet to find out how to replace the battery myself.
Everything else was fine with good emailed communication as to where they were with my repairs.
I am updating my review now. Within half an hour of posting my 2 star review, the owner replied and responded in a way that I was completely not expecting - to make it right. I am so impressed by this offer that I am updating to 5 stars before the work is even done. Thanks Jonathan!!

Awful repair job even after sending back 2nd time

Three years ago I had them repair my broken galaxy s4 glass screen. It was sent back to me with significantly decreased sensitivity, I couldn't click anything along the edges of the sceeen. I sent it back for a 2nd time and I got it back with permanent black and brown marks on the screen. They didn't even apologize, just made the excuse that they were using a new machine. They offered for me to send it back a 3rd time but I was tired of paying shipping for a company I no longer trusted. Would not recommend these guys to anyone despite their highly convincing marketing.

Customer Service/Price

The staff was kinda friendly, some had a I don;t care attitude. Nothing was explain to me as far as how they was going to repair my laptop. They just said you need this and it's going to cost this amount of money.

Rockit Repairs Rocks

Took my phone in for a cracked screen. I was told it would take an hour. 1 hour later it was done and for a great price!!!!

Quick service and a job well done!

Computer desk top needed updating and new security software added. They were able to provide quick service the first time visit. No problem once they fixed my computer.
