Placed order December 13. Called ahead to check stock and was told it was available.
Placed order for overnight delivery and was informed next day that there was no material available, not even partial.
Finally received completed order January 30 with OVERNIGHT delivery. Idiotic

I apologize for the inconvenience and understand your frustration. After further looking into this, I see that you did call and speak with our customer service team on December 12 regarding the item(s) you needed. Unfortunately, on December 13, another customer placed an order at 6:00 am for the same item, where your order was placed around 11:00 am the same day.
We do our best to stock products according to our sales on the individual items, and it was not until recently that this item became a "hot" item that we cannot keep in stock. Our lead time was longer than usual, primarily due to Rock West Composites being closed for the holidays, the amount of product needed to fulfill the customer ahead of your order, and the time to manufacture high-quality products for you.
I see other orders have been placed for the same product by your company recently, which is a sign that we have provided the best product for your needs. One option to ensure shorter lead times is to give a "blanket" PO with due dates of when the product is needed. This way, our Master Planner can schedule the manufacturing of this item accordingly. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can further assist you.
