I opened an account for my granddaughter which matures this year. I had not checked it, I don't think, since just after opening but tried to access it recently. On entering my details my account was immediately blocked. I spent all afternoon, spoke to four different members of staff, given four temporary passwords (two of which I later learned, did not have the correct number of characters required) and each time of trying my account was showing as blocked. I tried again for some time the following day without success. I was eventually contacted by a member of staff who did finally help me access my account and apologised for my experience. I was offered £15 as compensation and when I stated I did not think that was adequate for the stress and inconvenience I had experienced, the offer was withdrawn and I was told my complaint was not upheld! Disgusting customer care. I am definitely not happy with the experience I have had with Saffron!
Thank you for your response Saffron. Shame your poor customer service could not have been sorted between ourselves. And yes, I will be taking this up with the Financial Ombudsman.

Stacey was very helpful and very quickly understood my queries and was able to action them and resolve them during the entirety of the call and although I can use the website sometimes it becomes difficult so I prefer to speak to an advisor. Saffron BS are very good when it comes to customer service on the phone especially for their older customers.
