Tried other ways sort out a small problem,to not a lotnof joy. I noticed you could use WhatsApp,which i did and within a matter of minutes my issue was resolved.
New to this provider but if the customer service continues like this I should be a happy customer.

Woeful customer service
Woeful customer service from an advisor who was completely driven by the system. My account was in debit because of winter usage and I was asked to either pay the balance or increase my dd. It was impossible to get the advisor to accept that as we were now moving into the summer months the account would soon balance out. 12 emails to get nowhere and still waiting for compensation for time and aggravation. Will not renew. Eon is the problem I suspect.

Surprisingly helpful and easy to deal with. Not what I was expecting at all. I called to make a change to my DD payment and whilst they did that quickly they also suggested a cheaper tariff that I should be on and then put me on it, all, within 10 minutes or so. Very impressed. In these times of massively high energy priced having a company you can actually talk to and who seem to want to help is a massive plus point.

I would not even give this company a one star. Today I got another quote for 17k for electricity. Saying how it’s discounted. How is it 2k more than the last mess up you did. Please please if you do one thing today.. go with another supplier. Avoid this company. See my other reviews! I think the other good reviews are fake! No way this company has 4 stars.
Same great service over 5 years
We have been using Sainsbury's energy for 5 years now and generally on fixed-price tariffs which we regularly check and find competitive. On the very few occasions we have needed to make an online enquiry, the response has been prompt and efficient. We needed an annual summary of energy usage for our EPC and found that this information was not available through the dashboard. Our request was answered within 24 hours and the summaries e-mailed to us the following day. Well done!

If I could give no stars I would. I planned to change to Sainsburys Energy but changed my mind before the switch. Despite canceling on 5th February with a start date of 13th February, they still took the first payment and 3 chasing emails and more than a month later, they seem to think it is acceptable not to have returned the funds. So only start a switch to them if you are absolutely sure you won't change your mind.

Contacted SE via Whatsapp seeking a reduction in my monthly direct debit amount since I have recently switched from gas/electric with SE to gas only. It did take a while to persuade them that the DD amount would be too much going forward but eventually they relented and reduced it by more than half (!!). They were polite and communicative so all was good there, though I'm puzzled why it took so much to and fro to get to the obvious conclusion. anyway altogether pretty good.

Just switched to this company. Had a dysfunctional automated email asking me to send my meter readings up to 5 days before the switch which turned out to be wrong - it needs to be on the day of the switch. Got in touch with a customer adviser called Shane who was excellent - admitted that the email was misleading and he has passed it onto the internal team. Thanks to sensible responsive people like Shane in the loop, I am now sticking with this company.
