My experience with Sam Traditional Locksmith was extremely disappointing. The job started with a quote of just £59, but the price quickly escalated to £180. I consider this completely unreasonable for the service provided, especially as it took the locksmith less than 10 minutes to open the door.

What made the experience even worse was the locksmith’s extremely aggressive and intimidating behaviour. He appeared possibly to be under the influence of something, although I cannot confirm this. Most shockingly, he threatened me and asked where I lived, saying he would “sort me out”. This was completely unacceptable and left me feeling intimidated and concerned for my safety.

After reading the reviews on Trustpilot, I can clearly see that I am not the only person who has been extremely unhappy with Sam’s behaviour. Seeing other customers describe negative experiences makes my own experience even more concerning.

A locksmith should provide a professional, honest and trustworthy service, with clear pricing agreed upon before carrying out the work. Customers should never have to deal with aggressive behaviour or feel threatened when simply trying to get back into their own home.

My advice is to think twice before using this company. Always agree on the full price in advance and choose a reputable locksmith with a proven track record of professionalism and good customer service. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Sam Traditional Locksmith and would never use them again.

Quoted £70 to help break in to our flat when we were locked out. Took advantage of my lone girlfriend by charging her £120. There was no reason for this. The work took less than 10 seconds, other people have done the same job for 70 pounds in the past.

On attending our property this week, the service and attitude of Sam was appalling. We were treated like we’re stupid with him trying to get us to pay more money and left us with having to contact an alternative repair man because the problem was not fixed. As elderly people this was very upsetting and we want to make sure others who may be more vulnerable do not get caught out!

I cant say too much as I did not get beyond the first phone call.
When I called the number they did not answer the phone stating the company name. There was instead a number of voices in the background. It soundled like someones kitchen. Very unprofessional.
But I didn't have many options.
When I reported that I needed their help to unlock my car as the battery was dead and the electronic key was not working. They said they could not do anything if I didn't have a key.... Obviously if I had a key it's a safe bet that I would not have needed a locksmith!
I did not engage their services and was abale to resolve the issue myself.

This locksmith is probably the biggest rip off in Britain.
They charge £179 labour to replace a lock, which takes 10 minutes
They charge £298 for a lock, which you can buy for £26.49
They charge £50 for call out if you don’t go ahead with the repair,
it’s not a free call out charge as they state in the online advert. They ask for payment first before they do the work.
They ask for additional costs for things that should be included in the repair.
They are rude and unprofessional and tell lies, no receipt for the part they purchase
so they can rip you off 10 times what it really costs..
Sam locksmith is not even a company that’s registered with Companies House.
The address on their website is incomplete and fake.
Their invoice is from a different company, which is spelt incorrectly. The owner’s name is not Sam.
They are a scam Romanian owned company, DO NOT call them even if it’s an emergency. I would score negative 100 stars.
