The Scarborough Joke & Magic Shop is a traditional seaside joke and magic store located in the historic resort town of Scarborough, North Yorkshire. We specialise in classic magic tricks, practical jokes, novelty gifts, and fun curiosities designed to make people laugh, amaze their friends, and rediscover a bit of old-fashioned wonder. Our shop carries a wide range of magic tricks suitable for all skill levels, from simple beginner tricks for young magicians to professional props used by experienced performers. Alongside magic, we stock a huge selection of classic joke shop favourites including whoopee cushions, stink bombs, itching powder, fake insects, novelty gadgets, and quirky gifts that are perfect for parties, stocking fillers, and surprise presents. Many of the items we sell are inspired by the traditional joke and magic shops that were once a staple of British seaside towns. We’re passionate about keeping that spirit alive — the joy of walking into a shop full of strange curiosities, clever illusions, and mischievous pranks. Customers can visit us in person in Scarborough or shop online, where we ship orders across the UK and around the world. Every order is carefully packed by our small team who genuinely love what we do. Whether you're looking for your very first magic trick, a unique novelty gift, or a classic prank to play on your friends, The Scarborough Joke & Magic Shop is here to bring a little laughter, mystery, and seaside fun into your day.

Hello, a better way to contact us about this would have been to simply send a message - we can't help if you don't get in touch. Tracking shows your order was left with your neighbour 'Chloe' at number 29 on 6/2/26, so we suggest you head there and retrieve it.

Hi Alexandra,
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re really glad you liked the quality of the Scream Mask. The plastic itself isn’t scented, but it does sometimes arrive with a surprisingly strong vanilla-ish smell when new — a completely unplanned bonus aroma! 😄 It usually fades after a bit of airing out.
Thanks again for choosing our shop and for sharing the laugh!

Scarborough Joke & Magic Shop
Fun for all, reasonably priced
An extensive catalogue of jokes and fun items, items for all budgets, easy to order and pay. Didn't appreciate some of the adult items with abusive language being displayed, a bit concerning, especially if children are accessing.

Resposta da The Scarborough Joke & Magic Shop
Hi Graham,
Thank you very much for the 4-star review and for your honest feedback. We’re really glad you found our range extensive and the ordering process easy — that’s what we aim for.
Regarding the adult items, we completely understand your concern. We do stock a small number of rude or cheeky products for grown-ups, but we never want these to be shown in a way that’s inappropriate for children. We’ll review the visibility and placement of these items on the website to ensure they’re clearly marked and safely separated.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts — it genuinely helps us improve.
