Smooth experience

Brandon at School Space was very helpful from the very start of our enquiries about the hall through to completing the booking. He supported us throughout the process, helped confirm storage arrangements, and ensured our profile was set up correctly. The whole experience was smooth and well-managed thanks to his support.

Grange Academy hire

We return to this venue every year for our big community event because the facilities are excellent and Clive is absolutely brilliant. From the initial booking to the end of the event, his support makes the entire process so much less stressful. We couldn’t ask for a better experience—highly recommended! Clive, thank you for going above and beyond every single year. See you in May.

School Sports Hall Booking

School Space were very responsive to my emails and supportive throughout the process. So far, I have no complaints and would recommend them.

Service depends on who

I've had mixed levels of service from School Space over the past couple of years. But I want to acknowledge Clive H for going above and beyond for me last week when I had otherwise got lost in the shuffle. Thank you, Clive! You understand good customer service.

Himayat

School Space is extremely luckily to have someone like Himayat in their orgonisation. From day 1, he answered my questions with clarity and depth. He was always available for a phone call and even made time for us to visit the venue in advance, showing us around and answering specific questions with expertise. I have worked with many other venues/booking teams, this one with Himayat was extremely smooth and informative. He has a very bright future ahead of him.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service ! I have been a customer of this company for five years. However, the experience has been consistently poor for the past year. Booking cancellations are frequently made at short notice due to staff shortages. Furthermore, the customer service is slow and unhelpful. Despite the high cost of their service, the quality is subpar and requires qualified staff, particularly in customer service. I would not recommend this company and will likely cancel all my bookings.

Venue Hire

Christian had been most helpful assisting us with our recent bookings.

We already hire one venue from School Space and we have had no issues to date only great assistance .

Christian dealt with our booking and he…

Christian dealt with our booking and he was nothing but a great help to us! We run a non profit called Endoiiment Community where we run fitness and wellbeing sessions for adults suffering with mental health, grief and unemployment and Christian helped us programme our brand new sessions for the new year. Christian was very solution minded when problems arised and helped navigate our restricted budget with a positive attitude.

Avoid at all costs

I’ve never complained about anything in my life…until I’ve had to deal with Schoolspace. Their constant incompetence has had a massively negative impact on my business.
My fitness company were happily booked into Carshalton High Girls School for 7 years. Schoolspace then decided to take on further bookings in other areas of the school on the same night (which they’re perfectly entitled to do). But when the car park got busy as a result, they decided to kick us out, and move us to a different school. Since moving to Nonsuch Girls we’ve had 23 occasions in a year and a half where they’ve cancelled our booking with little or no notice, as the school had an event in their calendar which Schoolspace hadn’t checked.
I’ve had countless emails and phone conversations trying to calmly explain the situation, but have been ignored or dismissed every time.
We used to average 130 people per class on Thursdays. With all the inconsistency caused by Schoolspace, we’ve gradually decreased to about 70-80 people. Essentially, Schoolspace have lost me almost 50% of my Thursday clients, causing me to suffer financially, and just as importantly, mentally and emotionally too.
The really painful thing is…they do not seem to care one bit.
Avoid using them at all costs.

This is not the standard of service we aim to deliver, and we understand how frustrating and distressing these repeated cancellations have been, especially after so many successful years at Carshalton.
The challenges you’ve faced at Nonsuch fall short of the reliability we work to provide. While we regularly request updates from schools and monitor their calendars, it’s clear that in this instance we haven’t met the level of accuracy and consistency you deserve. For that, we sincerely apologise.
We also want to acknowledge the time and effort you’ve put into trying to resolve this. You should never feel ignored or dismissed, and we’re sorry that has been your experience.
Our Customer Success Manager will be reaching out directly to review what has happened in detail and discuss how we can create a more dependable solution going forward.

Good communication but not helpful on the day of event.

They were generally kind and responsive. Few viewings successfully arranged before the event, while in one of them there were miscommunication with the venue. Securities are not aware of the viewing and didn't allow me to go in. Stood outside the gate for around 15 minutes until problem solved. Lots of technical problems with the venue on the day of event and School Space staff couldn't help as they are not familiar with the venue.

We’re very sorry, however, for the miscommunication during one of the visits and for the inconvenience caused by the security delay. Our emergency contact team is always available during lettings on 0800 311 8322, and we hope they were able to support you when you experienced access issues.

We also appreciate you raising the technical challenges encountered on the day. As our staff support a wide variety of venues, there are occasions where specialist on-site knowledge is required. We always recommend coordinating any technical requirements with our Bookings Team in advance, who can liaise with the venue where needed to help ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.

Seamless and simple

When it came to running through everything on the call Emily was incredibly helpful and clear with bundles of EQ, just made it really easy to understand. We’re yet to make the booking but confident we will do. Honestly very easy 10 minute call and had everything I needed to make a decision.

Worst experience ever and still not…

Worst experience ever and still not resolved, sent an invoice for overstaying booking taken almost 3 months to resolve and still not done, tried calling, leaving messages and emailing. Computer generated response within 3 days more like 3 months, insisting we overstayed and asked for proof, our bookings are over 10 years with the venue, and never experience this. I have asked for the proof they have and guess what wait ..... Same old story.

A company to avoid at all cost

A company to avoid at all cost! Repeated occasions where their staff would not turn up to open the venues, various communication errors from their staff, invoices overcharged, finding the venue covered in vomit... whatever your worst case scenario could be, school space will deliver exactly that and some more!
