Paid 2k for Schwinn elliptical 490. Husband is engineer and understands how things go together and troubleshooting. Incline and resistance buttons DO NOT WORK ON HANDLE. Called customer support and they could not assist. Said someone would get back to us via email in 12 business day. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. POOR PRODUCT. STAY AWAY FROM SCHWINN FITNESS.

I purchased a Schwinn 800IC Indoor Cycle from Fitness Superstore on 31 January 2024, delivered 1 February 2024.

On 6 February 2026, just five days after the warranty expired, the console began freezing mid-workout. The backlight remains on, but the display locks and becomes unusable. The issue now occurs within eight minutes of riding, making the bike effectively unreliable.

Since reporting this problem, I have:

• Submitted multiple support tickets
• Spoken to at least four different representatives
• Provided receipt and video evidence
• Been redirected between companies

Despite all of this, no one has taken responsibility.

I have been passed between Schwinn, Johnson Health, and the retailer. Each points elsewhere. No goodwill gesture. No flexibility. No ownership.

This is a premium indoor training bike. A console failure days outside warranty, combined with zero discretion or customer care, is extremely disappointing.

Electronics can fail. That is understandable.

What is not understandable is the complete lack of accountability when a product fails virtually at the point of warranty expiry.

At this stage, I am paying (£142) to repair the bike myself because meaningful support has not been offered.

If you are considering this brand or retailer, be aware that once the warranty period ends, even by a matter of days, you may find yourself entirely on your own.

That has been my experience.

Their old fitness bikes don't have a clearly marked model number. The DC jack voltage is not stated on the jack, not the polarity. Tech support gave completely generic answer to my question if all bikes have the same 9V adapter and what polarity is it.

NEVER BUY A SCHWINN FINTESS!

Our bike doesn't match any of the photos on their website. I downloaded every similar bike manual. Some say 9V power supply, some don't say anything.

9V is probably safe enough but the wrong polarity could destroy it.

For out of warranty it appears that they want $50 to tell me what power adapter it uses.

NEVER BUY A SCHWINN FINTESS!

I ordered my recumbent bike. They delivered it to me and UPS left it down stairs. I can not move it by myself. They were unable to assist me in getting my bike upstairs in the same day so it's just sitting out in the elements and out in the open. I had to have it refunded. UPS will pick it back up to have it returned. I have never dealt with a company who had issues bringing something to my door. Poorly set up system they have in place. Very disappointed.
