Generally OK access tool. It's just a pity that the auto-sign-in via mobile doesn't work consistently; randomly, it's more likely to fail to register you entering the geo-location than succeed, which creates a risk.

My experience with this service has been consistently underwhelming. Throughout the entire time using the platform, I have not seen even the slightest meaningful improvement to the product. As an advanced user, it quickly became clear that the system lacks development, innovation, and responsiveness to real-world needs.

Support interactions typically consisted of repetitive, generic AI‑generated replies that did not address the substance of the issues raised. The communication felt automated rather than thoughtful, offering no sense that feedback was being considered or that the product was evolving in any meaningful way.

Additionally, the handling of data matters raised serious concerns. Requests that should be approached with professionalism and care were met with oversimplified responses that did not reflect the seriousness or the regulatory expectations involved.

Overall, the experience did not meet the standard of professionalism that would be expected from a service of this type. The product feels stagnant, the communication lacks substance, and the approach to data handling does not inspire confidence.

So pleased to have taken up SCR Tracker. It's so much more user friendly than spreadsheets or a woefully inadequate MIS.
Easy to add user defined fields to keep track of recruitment requirements.
Additional users can easily be added so that Governors or SLT can check the dashboard, and its also easy to print any hard copies that OfSted may require.

We switched to SCR tracer from an Excel based system about 2 years ago and it has been a revelation in terms of ease of management and use. It has also removed an awful lot of stress that was associated with the maintenance of the single central record, the staff actually used to dread having anything to do with it. We recently sailed through our OFTSED check of the SCR and they were very impressed with the system and how comprehensive it was. I would definitely recommend this to any school, it saves time, money and stress.

We had a smooth transition to the SCRtracker. It is really useful and intuitive. The customer support from the team both technically and regarding safeguarding legislation is superb.

Previously an excel document was used as a single central register, it was time consuming and hard to read. The SCR tracker is user friendly and it is quick and easy to use which saves a lot of time, with the benefit of updating automatically all changes are saved so you won't lose any data.

The inspectors liked how all the data was separately and accurately recorded, which helped them link hard copies to this easily. However it would be better to have 128 checks in the support staff as many member of SLT fall in this category.

Because there is no SLT on dashboard, I had to move the SLT to teachers so that the 128 checks can be seen, although they are not teachers.

Please create a section for 128 checks in the support staff.

We transitioned last year to the SCR Tracker having previously used Excel spreadsheets to track and update our information.

The transition went well, we were able to upload the data stored in Excel straight into the SCR Tracker once the headings had been streamlined to those on the tracker. The system has categories to help identify the standard groups of people who work in regulated activity and differentiates between those who currently work here and those who are being on-boarded.

The system is extremely intuitive and we are incredibly pleased with the functionalities that it offers. The Dashboard is excellent at highlighting which records are school compliant and which are inspector ready, versus what remains outstanding. You can also personalise the access you give to users to enable various levels of permission, which is helpful as governors can also do spot checks remotely.

The functionality to have regularly generated emails with details of expiring DBS records, along with other information has been an absolute Godsend.

SCR Tracker is an excellent system. I use this on a daily basis to ensure that all pre-employment vetting checks are complete and that the School's records are accurate. During a recent ISI inspection, the inspector was interested to view the system, and was impressed with its functionality

Easy to use. Identifies gaps or areas of concern at a glance. It takes the stress out of managing the SCR.

The tracker is really easy to use and not over complicated. It visually shows where any issues are and this helps governors better monitor the SCR.

The SCR Tracker is a great piece of software to keep track of safeguarding checks and is simple and easy to navigate. It makes tracking the status of staff, professionals, supply staff and visitors so much easier and means that our school is always a safe and secure place to be.

Great product so much better than excel spreadsheets

As a school business manager one of my most important jobs is keeping the single central records up to date. In the past this was such a painful job using an excel sheet that was long and hard to look at and work with. Since switching to the SCR Tracker I feel so much more confident that my records are now compliant. The system is easy to use, you can view records really easily. A simple red cross or green tick tells you immediately if you are ready or needing more information.

SCR Tracker is super easy to use and has made my life much much easier!!!

Setting up the templates is a little time-consuming but when this is done, this system is simple, effective and good value. The visual aspect usefully highlights any missing or incomplete elements and is particularly helpful for governors and the headteacher when reviewing the SCR. Highly recommended.

It is such a simpe tool that clearly shows all staff, volunteers and visitors in your school. I cannot recommend it highly enough and after a recent Ofsted, in which Safeguarding came out extremely well, I would encourage all schools to invest.

We have been using SCR Tracker for around 8 months now. The system is very easy to use and enables the HR team to easily track new starters and staff who are onboarding with a clear GUI indicating which checks are still in progress as well as producing reports and being very customisable to the needs of the school. The auditing function is very useful to keep track of changes. We recently had an Ofsted inspection and they were very pleased with SCR Tracker. The whole HR team would highly recommend SCR Tracker.

We have had the system in place for some time now, it is easy to use, clear and best of all is helping us with our strategy to go paperless as you can scan your evidence of checks onto the system against each individual. I really don't know how we managed with lots of excel spreadsheets that were error prone and difficult to read! The best feature with this is being able to run a 'late date' report so you can check for dates that are non-compliant without having to read through every single one. Service is responsive, polite and helpful.
