Hassle from the start with unrealistic expectations

Hassle from the start with disappointing results. Made something to go straight in the bin. Unpacked the clay and worked with it as per instructions; went ambitious to start with and tried a block/panel butter dish but gave up as the weight jut collapsed in on itself. Moved on to a boulder style candle holder instead. After a week of drying, we came to paint our creation but it all just cracked and fell apart. The paint is ok but does just flake off when painting. Kit looks great but is very unrealistic in achieving anything more than a painted rock. Waste of time - avoid and save your pennies for other hobbies

Sculpd took on my services to review…

Sculpd took on my services to review their products in line with Montessori principles. The service was provided yet I was not paid for this as agreed. Despite constant chasing and requesting for payment, the company is not conducting itself in an honest and ethical manner.
I don’t think this company should be trusted.

Product and idea is great, service is worthless

I ordered a package for two as a christmas present on the 20th of december. However, Sculpd forgot to put my house number on the parcel ticket and after notifying them about this they simply replied to me that i need to wait for the parcel company to return the package. After telling them its a christmas prezent they just kept responding the same over and over and were not willing to compensate my in any manner. The idea and the product is great, but the delivery and customer service is worthless, consider ordering somewhere else. I received my order today, meaning more than three weeks after ordering.

Unbelievably poor customer service

Unbelievably poor customer service. Son had pottery kit as a gift months ago only just got around to using it. The how to guide was missing emailed them expecting the guide to be sent. They have refused until I send the order number, which obviously don’t have as it was a gift. The back and forth emails are quite frankly hilarious, not in a good way. Unbelievable!

I purchased this for my granddaughter

I purchased this for my granddaughter, 11 years old. She jumped right in and started painting the same night she received it. I was very impressed by the quality of the materials provided and the presentation was very well done as well! I am thinking I wouldn't mind trying one for me!

AVOID - Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible, they don't respect the delivery stated on their website. Their customer service is unhelpful and borderline rude, don't expect an apology from them when they mess up.
For a cheap product I'd understand but this is ridiculous.

Worst experience ever!

made an order on the 6th of December 2025. got the package well over 2 weeks later so very very late. I need to return the order and: the support@sculpd email comes back as undeliverable; the "contact us" area of the website seems to get to feedback; instagram someone started asking me pictures of the items which I stated are unopened and wanting a reason for the return. then they started ignoring me. this is a decent amount of money I spent and I don't know how to get out of it.

Blij met het product maar…

Na lang wachten (+2 weken) en na veel mailen eindelijk contact gekregen met de klantenservice, dit is trouwens ook iets wat echt beter kan! Mijn mails kwamen in eerste instantie gewoon niet aan. Ik ben wel blij met het product, maar door al het gedoe bestel ik hier niet meer in t vervolg.

Extremely poor customer service and…

Extremely poor customer service and completely unacceptable delivery experience.

This experience has been frustrating from beginning to end. The company explicitly promised delivery before Christmas, yet the order arrived more than 15 days late, making that promise entirely meaningless.

Customer support, handled by Leen, was ineffective, confusing, and unprofessional. I received repeated assurances that the situation was under control, but none of those promises were followed by concrete action. Each interaction only added delays and frustration, with no real solutions provided.

The issue is not just the delay itself, but the very low quality of customer support: poor communication, broken promises, and a complete lack of accountability. This is far below the standard expected from a serious company.

As a result of this experience, I have completely lost trust and have escalated the matter through my bank. I strongly advise others to think twice before ordering, especially if you rely on delivery deadlines or expect competent customer service.

***UPDATE: I am updating my review to 4 stars following the direct intervention of Giles, co-founder of Sculpd.

While the initial experience was extremely frustrating due to a delivery that arrived more than 15 days late compared to the promised pre-Christmas deadline, what truly broke my trust was not the delay itself, but the quality of customer support I received beforehand.

The assistance was confusing, slow, and at times dismissive, with repeated reassurances that were not followed by concrete actions or clear answers. This lack of accountability and empathy significantly worsened an already stressful situation.

That said, I genuinely appreciate the way the issue was ultimately handled by Giles. He acknowledged both the courier failure and the internal shortcomings, took responsibility, issued a full refund proactively, and made a real effort to restore trust. This gesture showed professionalism and a willingness to improve, which I value.

Delays can happen, especially during peak periods. What makes the difference is how a company responds when things go wrong. The final resolution demonstrated that Sculpd does care about its customers, and for this reason I felt it was fair to update my review.

Order never arrived – terrible customer service

I ordered from Sculpd and the delivery was supposed to be handled by DPD. The parcel never arrived and was later marked as lost. Sculpd claim it was shipped, but DPD confirmed it was never successfully delivered.

Trying to resolve the issue, I placed another order, this time via Amazon with DHL delivery — and that parcel also never arrived. At this point, it’s clearly not just a DPD issue.

The customer service experience has been awful: extremely slow or no responses at all, no accountability, and zero effort to find a solution. Any problems are simply blamed on the courier, even when the same issue occurs with a different delivery company.

Overall, this has been a deeply frustrating experience and I would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering.

Don’t order - Missing parcel

Order 2 sets for Christmas and they were ‘sent’ to DPD for delivery on 21st December but am still yet to receive my order worth over £100. Their customer service team replied but with wrong information. DPD have not even received the parcel from Sculpd but they are saying their records show different. Feels very much like a scam
