Just had these phone again, my initial review below, with a reply months ago saying the Google search was taken down. They just rang again saying it wasn't and reading from the same old script. Please avoid any dealings with this company at all. A bunch of cold calling scammers

Apparently we are not on google? Erm... And it's not their job to check?

Let us all take a moment to reflect on how unprofessional your Search point UK company is and how unprofessional the call centre actually is.

Honestly you guys are the biggest pests on earth.. as soon as I hear” hi it’s Katie calling from search point Uk.. I simply hang up.. 8 calls I received from you lot Thursday and Friday.. two yesterday and two despite being told NO.. please stay away fro this company it’s just daylight robbery..

Rate the experience? More like rate the recent cold call!

We continue to be cold called by this company despite being asked to be removed during the cold call. I don't want to have to phone you or email you. Just stop calling! Otherwise we'll have to send off the recordings to the ICO

Edit: You need search under "The business owner" now you'll find me for sure

Second Edit: Well I keep asking to be removed and yet you still call, how can I be certain you will remove me this time? Also do you bother to check the Telephone Preference Service before cold calling? Also be helpful if you didn't withhold your number when you call - we can block your number from calling us

Third Edit: Look under "The business owner" and don't withhold your number next time you ignore the previous requests to stop calling. Nobody uses 0844 numbers anymore

Fourth Edit: You shouldn't be calling anyway - TPS and requests to stop calling - and give a proper number not 0844 revenue generating number? If you are recording calls, go through them all and remove people like us who have been asking for over a year

Fifth Edit: Still waiting to hear why you call numbers on the TPS and a proper geographic number to call

Sixth Edit (July 2022): You called again, you still won't stop calling. NO MEANS NO

7th Edit: Why not rescreen your database against the TPS and when a customer you call says no - stop calling them. The funny thing is we did have a google business listing when you first called, but since you didn't know this, we deleted it hoping you'd stop calling

I was going to waste my time writing a long bad review but I have better things to do with my time! Just stay clear of them if you read this!

This is now the 4th time now I’ve been contacted by Searchpoint each time an unidentified number. (Withheld) this is illegal!! Yet each time Searchpoint say that they have no details for me and to contact them. Not a chance! They have been reported to Ofcom and each time they contact me they will be reported. I actually had a shouting match with the guy who called me this morning (10.21) so much for customer service! W***ers.
Just hang up and put an official complaint to Ofcom if they contact you.

Steer clear. I won't repeat all the experiences that other people have so eloquently written before me, as I have experienced exactly the same and would definitely steer clear of this company. You can easily own and manage your own Google Profile yourself...

As some one who has previously worked for this company, I advise you to continue to ignore their calls. You can do what the business provides yourself COMPLETELY FREE! No point asking them to remove your number - the system does not let you. Just please be polite to the person on the phone, they’re probably not going to end up getting paid and sacked before training ends so they don’t have to pay them and believe me, they hate their job more than you calling them.

My review echoes many others... They call, repeatly. Advising my business is not set up correctly on Google.
When in fact it is Google Verified! I advise them each time, asking them to remove my details from their database as they are ill informed & incorrect in their comments to me. Very polite people on the phone, never rude. But I've had enough of them calling now.

I've been repeatedly called from these people regarding an old business of mine, over the years. I've asked not to contact me as this is a TPs registered number. I've sent complaint emails. After many months absence I've had another call today from them, from a withheld number.

I've made a complaint with the ICO regarding them, and not the first time I've done so. Last time I complained I never heard from them until today. I'm annoyed and really fed up of hearing from them. Can't seem to understand I'm not interested.

We have had our newsroom repeatedly called about the service they offer and saying we are:- "not set up correctly." Despite clear instructions not to call us, they continue to call, using withheld numbers. We have even warned them in the past that calls to us are often recorded and that the calls might be used for news reporting.

Today they called yet again and said that this was the 1st time they have called us. Odd? We then pressed them for information as to who supplies the information they use to call us. After a bit of questioning, the caller, who was polite, told us that they get information from 118. Sadly, as they use numbers withheld, we can not confirm whether this is this firm calling or not. We will now be contacting 118 to find out what information they have passed on to this firm and to find out what connection they have with this group.

As media, we understand how PR works, and appreciate that groups offer services to help set up and work with you to get your business looking better. We also know that data sometimes get mixed up, so it could be on the level. After information, we have read from a Which? Conversation, about this group, and on websites like this, plus a few of our readers who have also had posers saying they have been pestered, we are now starting to take a closer look at them.

As a result of these calls, we have also looked them up on Company's House, and spotted a number of listings been posted over the years:-

SEARCH POINT UK LTD, Company number 10668759, was in fact dissolved on 6 November 2018 after being set up as a Private Limited Company on 14 March 2017. It was listed its activities as call centers.

Another listing for the same name was found as SEARCH POINT LIMITED, Company number 07046910, which was dissolved on 26 January 2016 after being formed on 16 October 2009.

We also found SEARCH POINT LTD, Company Number 11998951, was set up on 16 May 2019 and is still active. It lists its activities as call centers. This matches the number shown on the firms' website.

We would recommended that, should you get repeated calls from this group or any other groups like them, you should visit:- Ofcom’s website. If you get the callers ID you can also report them to your phone service provider, check online to see if they have a reporting service.

If you have a domestic phone line that is being called, we suggest you also look Citizens Advice website.

We are not saying that SEARCH POINT LTD is a scam, as sometimes people do need help and firms can also ways offer services, but if you are reading this we advise you to go directly to Google, type in Google My Business and follow the link. It is a FREE service and you do not need any skills to set up a business page, other than being able to go online and click a few keys. Also, we strongly suggest that Search Point Ltd stops calling people who ask for information to be removed.

My father in law in still being harrassed by this company. They phoned him, an elderly gentleman, who has been registered with the TPS for many months. It is against the law to call anybody registered and they could face a hefty fine for doing so. We registered him precisely because he is vulnerable and we wanted to protect him. I have emailed on his behalf, and still they send threatening letters. This is a terrible company. Shame on them. I will be exploring every avenue available to stop their demands. Do not touch with a barge pole.

When asking for our company director I politely told them he was on annual leave but could I take a message. When I, again politely, started to tell them that we weren't interested in updating our listing on google the caller hung up on me mid sentence. If I'm going to take the time to respond, your callers could at least have the decency to carry out the call to the end and finish it with manners. Do not call this company again. I have also sent an email direct to your company detailing this and our company names.

Called by them today by possibly the rudest person I've ever come across. Sounds like a massive scam, avoid them like the plague.

Do Not Use This Company

Created a Google MyBusiness page without authorisation. Tried to charge me for the page. They were told that I was not interested and to remove the page immediately and to remove my details from their database. A year later they are back on the phone telling me how many hits the page has had and looking to charge me an annual service fee.

This is a complete scam from start to finish. They aim to scare you that you will loose a lot of orders if they take down the page that they should not have put up in the first place ... by my book this is extortion. I told you on the phone at least 5 times to remove the page and put this back to the way it was before you interfered. If you do not do this immediately I will report this to the police for attempted extortion.

Spammers. Ring up and say you haven't claimed a listing. Everytime I say I already have they put the phone down. Avoid at all costs.

I would give them -00 but there is no such score. This company is fraudulent and deals with extortion. I have told them that I don't want any phone calls from them I never ordered any services. They have sent me a fake invoice for services I never requested and they are harassing me every day to pay the invoice. Despicable frauds !!!

Spam cold call claiming to work for Google

After asking to be removed several times from their marketing lists, I still get called and they still insist that I need to claim my google my business listing. If they actually cared to look it is claimed and is active. This is a company that needs to be looked at by the Information Commissioners Office as they're not adhering to GDPR.

EDIT! - The stand reply is that they can't find you on there system. Which is rubbish

This company cold call me asking to advertise with them at the time I had no work because of covid they said they have advertised for me for free and now would I have it for £120 for the year I said send me the information and I'll have a look after Xmas when I get busy again no information came just a bill for £120 then £140 I have phoned numerous times to tell them I haven't said I wanted it but they insist I'm on tape saying it and I now owe them £140 I said send me tape never come they said they sent it I've asked to speak to manager they say they will call back but don't and still threatened me with the baliffs what a horrible fraudsters company just hang up on them is my advice
