The Seesaw journal gives parents the opportunity to take a "peek" into the classroom and see all of the amazing hands-on learning that occurs each week. Adding narrative to the photos and videos allows me to connect our learning experiences to both our curriculum and state standards. Seesaw Activities further strengthen the home/school connection as families participates in learning experiences at home. Announcements keeps families updated on upcoming school events and the Messaging system gives families and teachers a quick, private way to send individual notes and updates. The embedded translation features give families the ability to translate the messages into their home language.

Managing the feed can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially if students are posting frequently or if you have a large class. The free version is great, but some of the best features (like deeper analytics or full access to activities) are locked behind a paywall, which isn’t always in the school’s budget.
