It was nice to know that I wasn’t crazy or losing my mind! These were things I’ve known instinctively for many years but our medical field isn’t trained well enough to get to the root of the problems.

I recently found out I was adopted, so finding answers about my genetics and background was incredibly important to me. Sequencing provided exactly what I needed. Just like so many others have mentioned in their reviews, the sheer amount of useful, detailed information you get from them is amazing, yet it's still easy to digest. It really helped me piece things together.

What truly made this a 5-star experience, though, was the personalized support. I had a follow-up, in-person appointment with Tyona Pike, MS (their Sequencing Coach), and she was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to walk me through my results, answered all my questions, and made the whole process feel much less overwhelming. If you are looking for deep, reliable insights and actual human support, I can't recommend them enough!

I really like Sequencing. I enjoy researching reading and knowing about myself and issues going on. It was well worth the $400 I spent. You need to know learning about your body chemistry can be scary but empowering. I learned about my medications and what work and what won’t work and why. I learned I have markers for Alzheimer’s /dementia. I knew my mother had dementia and two of her sisters did. I knew strong genetics even though doctors and reading I have done said not genetic. Well my genetics say different. My daughter will be getting this done once she gets money saved up. I found out my medical information. This is not for weak but for those who read and research and want to know.

I had a really bad experience ordering from Europe.

I got no prepaid shipping label. I had to figure out the customs process on my own, ship the sample back myself, the cheapest option to ship correctly costing about 50€ extra.

If I get the customs declaration wrong, package might not arrive.

Customer service didn't respond and offered no guidance.

Update: upon opening a new ticket with customer service I kindly got a refund. Adding two stars to the review for that

The results were so indepth. I received them back very quickly and it helped my doctors make a better choice for medications.

Sequencing is absolutely the best of ALL the DNA/ ancestry companies out there. Their customer service is exceptional, as is the time it takes to complete the results. I have used other sites and things are fairly accurate compared to those sites. I highly recommend spending money to do a DNA test with this company. You will not regret it. I promise you!

While they sequence all of your DNA, not all values are high quality and they don't offer to redo those to get high quality. Do the resulting reports can be severely truncated. It is not worth the full cost, but might be worth a discount price. If they guaranteed the quality of the results then it would be valuable

It was helpful to learn about my genome and have a comprehensive report to give to my doctor.

I ordered the sequencing.com kit bc of recent health issue I had come up and because I wanted to get insights into what diet, supplements, vitamins, etc would improve my physical condition since I'm a biohacker. I'm satisfied beyond my expectations. This service is a must have. It's worth way more than I payed for it considerijg the benefits from the changes I can make without being in the dark about what I'm doing.

I had slightly high cholesterol and I didn't want to take statins. After getting my sequencing.com results I found out I'm genetically susceptible to many statins for toxicity. I couldn't be happier and showed my doctor the results. I found out that I'm susceptible to 36 medications. Those include statins, anticoagulants, a few HIV drugs, many chemo drugs, and hydrochlorothiazide. I'm extremely thankful for this service because I wouldn't have known this otherwise and it will help me improve my overall health.

I had a session with Erika Schwarz Taylor through Sequencing.com and found it to be extremely valuable. She walked me through the platform in a clear and practical way, explaining not just how to navigate it, but how to actually interpret and research the information coming out of my genetic sequencing. What stood out most was her ability to point out features and tools that I hadn’t discovered on my own, even after already spending time on the site. That alone made the session worthwhile. She was professional, approachable, and kept the session engaging while still covering a lot of ground. I left with a much better understanding of how to use the platform in a meaningful way, rather than just passively reviewing data. I would recommend her assistance to anyone looking to get more out of their Sequencing.com results.

They were very helpful with processing a refund, where other companies might make you jump through lots of hoops. Great service and speedy replies. Highly recommend.

I have never had any issues whatsoever with this company... although, I checked the Files tab and something was not there at first BUT I reached out to customer service and they responded right away and 2 days later (at the most) the file I needed, a .vcf, .bam or the full sequencing .txt file, was available then. I then used those files on other websites, like geneticlifehacks.com and app.seq4life.com to get so much incredible information about my DNA that wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for sequencing.com and their 30x WGS. Their customer service has ALWAYS responded within 24-36 hours without fail.
The reports they provide are on target with other sites and go even deeper in some areas. The access to information that sequencing.com has given me is ASTRONOMICAL and I am forever grateful to them for that!
As far as time from when I sent my sample in until when my results were completed it wasn't long at all. I honestly cannot remember how long it was, but I did a few tests at the same time and I'm still waiting on one of those... it's been almost a year. I can say that sequencing.com has been EXCEPTIONAL in every way. I sent a sample in in March 2025 and in less than 6 weeks the results were in... I'm sure it was less than that.

Be careful as this company can take money from your bank without your knowledge! Probably taking money for a subscription which you didn't sign up for and did not choose and have no intention to do! And this is even more shocking that they took money from my daughter's credit card M&S ...75!, this credit card is not even saved on the account!!! WHAT YOU DID SEQUENCING IS FRAUD! We are going to report fraudulent activity by your company to the bank and to the appropriate body. My daughter's credit card was not even saved/stored/visible on my daughter account or mine, we both bought a gene kit and each of us has our own separate account. On the account either mine or my daughter only my Visa debit card from Wise ...06 is saved, and this card is AS DEFAULT and I did not have any ongoing subscription, either my daughter!
Me and my daughter bought a gene kit in November 2024. For my kit the one off payment was made with my daughter's  MasterCard credit card ...75, it was one off payment , THIS CREDIT CARD IS NOT SAVED EITHER ON MY OR MY DAUGHTER'S ACCOUNT, on ours Sequencing accounts as default is a different card, it is on my name Visa debit card from Wise. I bought a Comprehensive gene kit with a free 1 month premium subscription, which ended after 1 month after the results were ready. I have not bought and signed up for the further subscription and I did not make any payment toward it, either my daughter, we both had accounts as FREE. 
Today my daughter saw on her credit card statement that on 13 March 2026 a payment of £149.22 (199 USD) + £4.46 (a MasterCard transaction fee) had been taken by Sequencing! I spent a whole day trying to figure out what this payment is for, and why it was taken from my daughter's credit card as this card is not even saved on a Sequencing account and there is no trace of any transaction on our Sequencing accounts!!!! The other card is as default and any of us did not sign up for a subscription recently. There is a history of login in Sequencing account and the last time I was logged in to Sequencing was May 2025 and my daughter April 2025, also there is history of orders and there is no any order visible in this year or 2025 on my or my daughter account. The last order in the order's history is the order when we bought a gene kit and that was 29.11.2024!!! 
What Sequencing did is considered as fraudulent activity by this company and will be treated this way and reported to my daughter's credit card bank and appropriate body as fraud, if the full amount of £153.68 (149.22 + 4.46 the bank fee my daughter was charged)  will not be refunded IMMEDIATELY! 

I have made a photo of every page of our Sequencing accounts with all information and details, orders history, history of loggings, what card is saved there as default, so I can prove what I wrote above. Also every legit company is sending you emails that automatic subscription payment will be made soon, then after the payment you are getting an email that the payment had been done for renew subscription and when it will be next, none of this happened, me or my daughter we did not receive any emails with information that payment was taken and for what, NOTHING, they just took money from the bank with no any trace of it on Sequencing account or emails!!! And no, there is not in spam.

I received my results quickly. Some results were a confirmation, some were “I thought could be possible” and still other a complete surprise. The best thing is now my doctors can treat problems not symptoms. I’m have several rare syndrome/diseases including aEDS.
Another important benefit is the medication list. Knowing medications that I can’t take is very important. I have sent that to my doctor’s office and added the medications I can’t have to my medical alert list.

I had a lot of questions going in around conditions and figuring out the platform. My coach got up to speed fast, understood exactly what I was dealing with, and resolved my questions.

They asked the right questions and helped me understand my genome in a way that actually made sense to me. I am excited to continuing coaching sessions.

Tyona was courteous, knowledgeable, and nice. I was not sure if I was going to get out of the experience what I wanted and instead far exceeded what I had hoped. I learned that sequencing retains all the data even when making purchases through Partner Marketplace, how to read the data for trait pairs, distinguishing between carrier and risk of diseases, navigate the screening and look up tools, and quite a bit more. Tyona was willing to repeat information, provide me great insights , and helped me understand how to better utilize the data. I was not sure if the money was well spent and worth it and now I am confident that it was. I am now excited to see how much more information I can learn and what Sequencing provides in the future.

The experience with Ms. Erika was so helpful. She really broke everything down so that I could utilize the site appropriately and interpret the information. She is very knowledgeable, kind and respectful. I feel she made the experience so much less anxiety ridden and I am so appreciative.

Exactly as advertised and faster than expected.

The on boarding emails are very helpful. I do wish the medication reports covered more drugs. Insights into my current health conditions are great.
