This course has been transformational and I feel so calm , clear and confident to start my hypnotherapy practice. SFTA has helped me not just gain all the knowledge but also supported me to gain this calm, clarity and confidence which I can now support others with. A fantastic course which I wouldn’t hesitate recommending. The syllabus was very interesting, Cathy and Louisa were also a joy to have as teachers, making the weekends both fun and full knowledge!

The solution focussed hypnotherapy course is exceptional. The tutors have a breadth of experience which scaffolds students from any background or experience. I have personally thrived on this course, gained so much knowledge around the evidence base and neuroscience, had plenty of opportunity for development of practical skills and a constant level of support and feedback to aid my understanding. Would highly recommend this course.

A great mix of theory and practical learning. Small groups and lots of support from the tutors John & Natalie. Really enjoyable sessions and the content is delivered in manageable chunks. Studying at home to gain HPD & SF diplomas is supported and really embeds the F2F learning. Highly recommended.

A fantastic course. Well structured to equip students to go out and practice from the very first month. The course has a great mixture of the theory you need, the necessary practical skills, and experienced, passionate tutors delivering it all.

This solution focussed hypnotherapy course content was easy to understand, with a good balance of theory and practical sessions. The neuro science was fascinating. This course was enjoyable with a good size of students. Tutors make the course interactive, fun, good to understand. It has given me the tools and confidence to look forward into starting my practice. Would highly recommend this science based 8 month course.

I’ve just completed the SFTA hypnotherapy training course, and it has genuinely exceeded every expectation. John and Natalie are exceptional tutors, knowledgeable, supportive, and brilliant at making the learning feel engaging rather than overwhelming. The practical sessions were the highlight for me, instead of death‑by‑PowerPoint, we actually did the work, practiced the techniques, and built real confidence.

Thanks to this course, I now feel ready to start seeing my own clients and put these skills into practice. I highly recommend this training to anyone wanting to develop new skills, improve themselves, or take the first step toward a career in hypnotherapy.

The content of the course is delivered in a very structured way incorporating various topics relevant to hypnotherapy. It also helps with setting up as a business which is great for people new to working for themselves. The lecturers demonstrate a high level of expertise and experience and are extremely helpful offering support both inside and outside of class time. I would highly recommend this course for people interested in becoming a solution focused hypnotherapist.

The course content was just right. It wasn’t overloaded but perfectly put together throughout the modules.

What a wonderful course! I've met some really great people who have now become friends. The tutors are next level. The delivery of the course is exceptional. If your looking to train in hypnotherapy I really couldn't suggest a better academy. I did my training in Halifax with John and Claire. John really knows his stuff and it shows! And Claires teaching delivery is really good. She never leaves you with unanswered questions. Both are extremely knowledgeable and very relatable. Here's to an amazing career in hypnotherapy cheers guys! Highly recommended.

I attended this course in Chester in 2024-25. Firstly, all the tutors were really lovely & supportive. They made you feel really welcome. The course was spread over several weekends and was well paced. For me, this was a refresher course having been out of practice for a while. Gaining an understanding of neuroscience was very helpful but I felt the course was very heavy theory based and not enough practical. Also, it’s incredibly difficult to get established as a hypnotherapist in such a saturated market but this is no criticism on the trainers. Overall, a good course if you’re thinking of developing a career in hypnotherapy but do your research first as it’s a hard area to get established.

From the first moment I started contact with the team at SFTA I knew this was going to be worthwhile. There was care and attention paid to my needs and reasons for wanting to do the course right from the outset. It was clear what they offered, how the course would progress, and what I would need to do along the way.
The course itself was a great mixture of fun, interaction, and practical knowledge and application. The tutors were incredibly knowledgable and experienced, and very open about sharing all they knew. The course materials were very helpful in concreting knowledge and understanding in between sessions.
One of the implicit things the course offers is the role modelling that the tutors did. Their behaviour and ways of working was a great reinforcement in the discipline and boundaries needed in hypnotherapy practice.
For anyone considering becoming a solution focused hypnotherapist I’d highly recommend SFTA. They offer the highest standard of learning you could hope for.

I had an amazing experience training to be a solution focused hypnotherapist with SFTA. John and Natalie are so knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. It was a big decision for me to re-train after years in the corporate world but I haven't looked back. The support has been incredible all the way through and I have met some of the most amazing new friends! I'd highly recommend.
