An amazing service, we are so lucky to have this available to us , you wouldn’t find this anywhere else and especially without paying for it, it has to be appreciated and respected. We are so lucky.

Invaluable Service
They get back to your fast, process fast, make picking prescriptions easy. The staff are non judgmental and follow up with you with clear advice. Would recommend 1000000% and it’s free!

Very worrying
Was given a positive result and sent antibiotics.
I also attended a clinic for a full screening and was told the result which was positive was actually negative. And intact I had something else which needed different antibiotics.
Had I not attended the clinic I would think I had been treated and in fact hadn't been for the right thing and sti would still be in me and still spreading.
This is very worrying!!

There are several reasons why you might get a positive results through our service and then get a negative result in clinic. Both on the website and through our support staff, SHL.UK routinely encourages / signposts individuals with persistent symptoms to attend clinic so that they can be examined and offered a fuller range of tests. It’s great that you were able to get screened more widely elsewhere. SHL.UK cannot screen for everything – you can find out what we do cover here https://www.shl.uk/faq/11. Not all tests are available online because they are not commissioned by local government authorities, in line with national testing guidance. We are constantly reviewing the tests we offer and adding more when appropriate.

Sexual health professional I…
As a sexual health professional I support regular testing. Clients and myself have spoken of feeling that the service is safe and supportive and offers great advice in a non shaming way.
Tests are sent expediently and service users are informed at each stage of the process.
This service is part of our NHS and I value it highly.
Ignorance is not bliss, so test, test and test again to safeguard yourself and others.
