Same issue as many! Battery is none existent despite stating fully charged. Shortly after turning on, it goes from 4 bars, to 2, then to one before beeping and shutting off completely. I have emailed customer services and have been told it is not covered under their 14 day returns policy however this is clearly a known defect and as it was purchased within 6 months we all still have rights. If there is no offer to rectify I will be reporting to trading standards.

Product does not work as stated after several emails asking for there return address still did not receive one thank god I payed through Klarna I’ve left it in there hand’s because you will not get anywhere with silk wave a complete scam do not buy from them .

Only used a few times doseant hold charge turn off after a few minutes contacted customer service was told not under warranty cant do anything terrible service dont buy this product bought 3 as gifts all the same

Had curler for 6 months, used it a handful of times before it decided that even though it was fully charged it just turned itself off after a minute (didn't even curl it during that time either)
I did email them and did get a reply but they said that as it was brought over 14 days there was nothing they could do. Very disappointed.

I'm very disappointed with this product, I have only used it a few times and it doesn't hold its charge and to take 4 hours to charge up is a joke. This was a present from my kids and I'm gutted that they wasted their money on this.

Awful. Don’t waste your money girls I have had this for just OVER A WEEK and the damn thing has already had it. I was half way through curling my hair and the curler just started constantly beeping and the icon which tells you when it’s hot enough to curl just disappeared and stopped heating up. I’m disgusted. £40 for that?! rip off. Want my money back!

Terrible!
The battery always died half way through. Now it won't even last a few minutes, following a full charge. It also beeps loudly throughout, which is very irritating. It is clearly imitating a good product though. It is very easy and quick to use and the curls last for me (with lots of hairspray and my hair always holds curls well). Buy the more expensive one. The concept works!

I am so glad I didn’t buy from them , never answer the phone and emails take days for them to reply to . And when they do they are so rude .

I ordered this with high hopes for something a bit easier to curl my hair. I’ve just managed to use it after charging it all day, and the battery is down to two dots after 10 minutes of use. Use is a strong word, because the ringlets I was trying to curl flopped miserably. I’ve just brushed my hair out after curling half (it died) and it’s as straight as the uncurled hair.

Please don’t waste your money. I’ve dumped it straight in the bin because I don’t have the heart to give it to someone else, I think I’d lose friends if I tried to give it away.

Battery not working

I charged it as per guidelines and even after more than 4 hours the first time when I received it, not working. I tried again the next day still the same. Very poor quality for a price so deceiving. Not worth it.

Not surprised to see i have the same issue with this product as other reviewers. After only using twice and being impressed with it, from the third it would not charge. Half the price of the curler its imitating. Dont waste your money and buy the original. Fab results when it works though

What a fabulous piece of kit!!
To top it all off, it’s even wireless and remote!!
Incredibly easy to use, lovely to look at and makes a great present!!
So far i’ve bought 2 and need 2 more as gifts!

The curling itself is great, the product is fairly simple to use and convinient for travelling. However the battery is making this product fairly unusable. I have thin, shoulder length hair and I cannot get through my entire head of hair before the battery runs out. You can't use the curler whilst it's charging either. Now when I fully charge it, it drops back down to 2 bars a couple minutes after being turned on. These types of curlers are great, but Silkwave is a cheap, plasticy immitation.

I loved this when I got it - I've never been able to curl my hair easily. However only 6 months on, when I count on one hand the amount of times that I've used it, it doesn't hold charge. After charging overnight, as soon as I switch it on it goes down to 2 bars, and is dead within 20minutes. The same thing has happened with my sister's too. Don't bother buying this - no guarantee apart from 14 days, pay a little more for a better model.

My daughter bought it for my birthday.
We were so excited to use it.
Unfortunately doesn't work as advertised.
Even if I used a mousse and a hair spray, the curls will not last more than 15 minutes.
We are so saaaad.
I do not recommend this product.

After reading alot of bad reviews I was worried about receiving mine. But I absolutely love it. I think for people with thick, long hair it may not work as well. I did put too much hair in once and it got stuck...panic! But I just used smaller chunks and it was fine. My hair only takes me 15 mins to curl and I can get 2-3 uses out of it before I have to charge it again. I love the results. Maybe for people with longer/thicker hair, silkwave could make a larger barrel? It may help :)

Very dissapointed in this company. Clearly states on their website product comes with usb cable...mine did not. After emailing them they assured me it would be sent out asap. Over a week ago!. Will not order off this company again

Won't hold its charge at all. Won't hold its temperature at all either.

Absolutely rubbish! Do not buy this! It is not quick and easy and the results are poor. You cannot put any more than 5 inches or so of hair otherwise it gets tangled and jammed, so their adverts of women with long curled hair is a lie. The strands have to be miniscule otherwise, again, it gets jammed. Took me an hour to curl my whole head and I have thin, blonde hair. So not quick and on the go at all.
Despite me using the hottest setting and using hair spray, the curls fell out after around an hour.
The product itself is cheap, it doesn't hold charge well at all and the led display is always flashing on and off. Cheap, light plastic

When it works it’s brilliant. After only a few uses the battery wouldn’t hold its charge even after 24/36 it only had two bars then it stopped charging altogether. Emailed Silk Wave and my immediate return I received another FOC. Today after being used 6/7 times it started to not hold its charge only reaching 3 bars then the barrel broke. Also you can’t charge it hiker it is recharging. Shame I won’t be getting another waste of money. As I said brilliant results when it worked
