Do not buy a pram from silver cross or…

Do not buy a pram from silver cross or John Lewis. Our Reef pram has a serious safety flaw where my child tips totally upside down - this happened on a dangerous road and scared both her and I. They are asking me to send a video of it happening again before they will even look at it!!!! Asking to put a child through that is down right irresponsible and I should be getting a full refund so I can go buy a pram from a better manufactured brand so my child’s saftey isn’t at risk on roads. It is a shame to see Silver cross not take any proactive measures to help me even tho my product is in guarantee. My advice it to stay well away and head to a better brand.

Excellent customer service

Hello. I received my replacement part within a matter of days of putting a claim in with silvercross RE a snapped piece of the hood on my pram. I even got sent clear digital instructions on how to change it at home myself. It has been changed and works perfectly. Thank you so much for helping resolve it, sending it so promptly and keeping so in touch throughout the process! Great customer service. Thanks again.

I hate to leave such a bad review for…

I hate to leave such a bad review for brands that can ruin a reputation please don't take this lightly.

After using the high chair we purchased for one week, there are huge cracks up the chair legs. Not only is this unsafe but I would never expect something like this level of damage to happen after one week of use ESPECIALLY at this price point.

Speaking to their customer service was a nightmare. For people work selling any products you think they'd want to make busy tired parents life easier but they ran me around like a headless chicken, time waisted and would not give me a refund. In the end, Amazon gave me my money back.

The chair itself - negatives (sorry no positives)

- When you actually look at the chair, it's made of really bad plastic and the seat is very hard to clean.

- The tray is tiny!!! You can't put standard size bowels or plates on.

- No foot rest (there should be to prevent choking hazards and baby not sitting upright

- No way to adjust the seat itself

- Definitely a trip hazard

I wish I had never wasted my time on this company with such bad customer service, I wouldn't bother!!

Unfulfilled Delivery [solved]

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the Silver Cross UK service via Amazon. I placed an order for a pushchair last Thursday, specifically selecting next-day delivery, as I am a Prime member. The anticipated delivery date was Friday, as the pushchair was required for a planned weekend activity. Unfortunately, the delivery was not fulfilled, and my weekend plans have been disrupted due to the failure to meet the advertised delivery timeframe. All my son's baby equipment are all Silver Cross as I initially trust the brand now its time to look for a better brand

Edited: Having received excellent assistance from their customer service, we were able to reach a satisfactory agreement, which was then delivered promptly. We are very pleased with the resolution.

Silver cross went Above and beyond

Every product I have needed for the baby from prams, baby cot next to the bed, high chair, bags so much and I’m on 3 prams! Everything has been amazing. At no fault of Silver cross I’ve had to replace my high chair tray, I had a new one in the post the next day! My pram had been damaged and told them in less than a week I was going on holiday and with no hesitation, a box was delivered, pick back up and fixed and cleaned and delivered back to me within 36 hours! The customer service was kind, understanding, went above and beyond and seriously put my faith back in businesses, nothing was too much trouble and had solutions for everything. I feel a little gutted I didn’t get names because I actually spoke to more than one member of the team and every single time, I didn’t have to repeat myself as all the info was there! Thanks again for fixing my clic pram for holiday (best pram for travel!!) love my pop and reef too but honestly want to thank you again for being so helpful.

Exceptional service from Silver Cross- the pushchair had a problem with the break- 3 years after purchasing and they collected it and did a full service and repair. No hassle and a very quick service. Owing to the excellent aftercare from Silver across- would purchase from here again!

I bought the silver cross reef 2…

I bought the silver cross reef 2 special edition bundle which cost £1780, so an extortionate price. The pram isn’t worth it, it’s sold as “all terrain” well advertised like that and it shouldn’t be, in fact it’s false advertisment. The pram struggles going up a path of stones, can’t go over the smallest of curbs, the wheels lock constantly. My brake has broken so unsafe for my baby to be in and currently can’t use. The chassis is flimsy, wobbles constantly. The frame scratches really easily. For the price of the you’d expect it to be amazing and it’s just not. I have had to buy another pram in the meantime of silver cross getting back to me on what to do with the pram. I’ve only been using this pram for 4 months. I know I’m not the only one who thinks this about silver cross, many mums I now know have the same issue

Get rid of jade assemble specialists!!!
Canceled my order because they use these do not use until that get rid of them!!

Awful company, don’t use any company that uses jade as their delivery company, they had my package for well over a week kept phoning and was fobbed off with its with the planning team. Was finally given a date which I could not do and they basically said I have to wait 3 weeks for another date. For a company that has a planning team they couldn’t say whether it was am or pm. Cancelled my order because of this company and will not order anything else from silvercross until they get rid of this company!! John Lewis also uses this please avoid at all cost!

The hood has Broken on the clic…

The hood has Broken on the clic stroller we purchased. Silver cross sent a box out so this item could be packaged up to be collected on the Monday 21st July it arrived in their service centre on the Tuesday 22nd July and by the Thursday 24th July we had it returned all fixed. They kept us informed with emails and delivery times for collection and return delivery. They were really efficient as knowing this product would needed to be returned as quick as possible

Reef 2 Bundle…

We recently purchased the Reef 2 Bundle Deal, and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made as new parents! From the start, everything about it felt well thought out and high quality.

What truly stood out for me especially after comparing with other leading brands is the one-motion collapsing function. As a parent often navigating solo, this feature has been a total game changer. It’s smooth, intuitive, and makes getting in and out of the car so much easier without the usual hassle.

The bassinet is incredibly well balanced and clicks on and off effortlessly. It feels sturdy and safe, but not heavy or awkward to handle, which gives us so much peace of mind.

We chose the Ganache colour and it’s absolutely beautiful, stylish and modern.

Also want to give a big shout out to the customer service team, they’ve been amazing! Super responsive and genuinely helpful, which made the whole buying experience even better.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the Reef 2 bundle. Highly recommend it to any parent looking for quality, practicality, and sleek design all in one.

Silver cross are exceptional

Silver cross are exceptional ! I bought a silver cross buggy from amazon and had a fault eith it from day 1 . I contacted amazon who wouldn't do anything so after that contacted silver cross . They organised for my buggy to be picked up by dpd ( even sent a box out to me beforehand) , the buggy was then sent to a silver cross engineer for them to have a look at ( turns out BOTH rear axels had to be replaced) and they also got dpd to deliver the pram back to me - all free of charge! They kept me updated all the way through the process and cannot fault their customer service

Lives up to reliable, quality brand reputation

Purchased the coast 17 piece bundle for our newborn and have not been disappointed. The products arrived safely packaged, in a timely manner with good communication throughout delivery. The quality of the products speak for themselves! When we had a milk spillage on our Lunar bedside mattress, customer services were quick and efficient in sourcing and sending out a replacement from their spare parts store very quickly. The advisor was excellent to deal with too and quick to answer the phone - a big relief after a stressful event. Both the products and customer services live up to the Silvercross brand and reputation. I would purchase further products (when needed) in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone!

Pram started breaking 6 months in- from…

Pram started breaking 6 months in- from the transverse safety bar. And about 10 months from the pushing bar as well. Completely unusable now. Was bought on a Black Friday deal. Customer care a bit abrupt asking me to accept a non like for like pram or a refund- which is unfair because I thought this brand was slightly on the expensive side because of quality, they don’t want to give me a full set with the accessories because they don’t make the model any more. Would not buy again- mostly because of build quality but customer care could have been better

A refund after we noticed problems 8 months later plus amazing advice to stay with silvercross

My husband and I bought our son's MOTION ALL SIZE 360 Car seat with the help of his grandmother who wanted to gift it on his 2nd birthday. Costs at the time £300 and something pounds. Quite expensive and it is supposed to last until 12 years of age give or take on height of child etc.

However, just a few months into using his car sear we noticed that the recliner does not recline as far as other reviewers praise it and our sons head would jolt about during car trips etc meaning having to stop to adjust him. We purchased a separate a neck support because his chin would touch his chest restricting air flow and breathing properly during car rides especially long journey's. This didn't help for long so posed a danger to his head and neck and restriction of air flow whilst asleep and no efficient reclining position.

Then 8 months down the line grandma joins him in the back and voices how his seating position was not right despite the car seat reclined and rear facing. She had to constantly hold his head up in place during the journey just as the father would on all journeys, meaning our son could not sit alone even though he was and is at an age more than 2 and 1/2 years old to sit alone in the back with a mirror to keep an eye. All because of the reclining and head and breathing issues. Grandma encouraged us to make a complaint as we just didn't think we would get help with this issue.

Therefore we complained to silvercross and at first the responses seemed long winded and unnecessarily requesting more pictures etc. However, in the end after having a frank discussion over the telephone with SOPHIE a member of staff Manager from Silvercross, she understood the real safety and danger concerns we were having for our son using the car seat.

THE RESOLUTION
SOPHIE not only offered us a refund of the car seat but also continued on to offer us kind and compassionate advice to keep the car seat for our new born as she was correct in that the inserts are perfect for when they are smaller. And the inserts did keep our son very safe up until he was on the last one which is the back cushion. We had to remove it because it was restricting his leg room and when we removed it his legs were free and not as squashed rare facing but the head issues and reclining issues continued.

SOPHIE advised that we should use the car seat up until again those final stages then purchase a new one for the new born when they are soon to be A toddler and in the meanwhile the now toddler can have a new toddler carseat i-discover toddler car seat I believe it is called.

Funny enough before she even advised us we were looking at this option for our toddler son. Therefore it just shows that SOPHIE as a parent herself put herself in our shoes and tried to come up with a resolution that only helps our son but also helps us financially because we are disabled parents who dont work and make purchases to last a while etc.

So although the car seat has its faults it is a safe carseat in terms of from new born up to the time you need to remove the inserts and cushioning rearward facing. iN TERMS OF FORWARD FACING i cannot comment as we never reached this stage and have not tested as we want our children to rear face for as long as possible for safety and less impact to their precious body's and heads.

But I would choose Silver cross over and over but perhaps looking at reviews more about the best working products and making any reports sooner rather than waiting until its like 6 - 8 months down the line.
