My family and a couple other families with two less-than-a-year-old toddlers were left stranded in the cold for over six hours, purely down to an erroneous recording of departure time by either a customer agent or the company's archaic website; a mistake that SCH acknowledged was theirs. Despite this, they offered nothing to remedy the situation, saying to us in the most terrible tone I have ever heard from any customer representative (and trust me I speak to a lot of them) that "you either wait an additional 4hrs for a driver to get to you or we cannot help you." This was supposed to be a return trip to our source location and we had already checked out of our Airbnb with 8 luggages and the babies in the cold. If babies' health did not matter to SCH, there is no way your appointments or health as adults would matter. In your own interest as a consumer, do not seek SCH's service; as a driver, do not register on SCH's platform. You are surer of regretting it than having a great experience. This is where it is ideal to have negative star ratings (say -1 to -10) to correctly reflect service users' experiences. A 1-star rating is being too generous for SCH to be honest.

I was left shaken to my bones at the lack of empathy and the inhumanity exhibited by Simple Coach Hire. They mixed up our return trip timeline and left us stranded outside in the cold for 4 hours as we had checked out of our Accomodation. We had two babies under 1 and these babies now have a cold due to being outside in the cold for so long.

We let them know about this but they could care less. Nick the customer care agent simply said we have given you two options and that’s that. With no empathy for the babies and the fact that it was their fault. They made pay for their mistake with no remorse.

Safe to say they will take your money and treat you as they please. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Edit: This is a response to the ridiculous response from Simple Coach Hire. You offered a one-way refund after we had waited several hours. Basically, you offered to remove yourself from the situation without bearing any consequences for YOUR MISTAKE. You wanted to refund us for the one-way trip because you messed up the timing so we needed to start to look for another taxi after the several hours of delay already.
In a nutshell, you wanted to eat your cake and have it whilst we suffer for your mistakes by being sent out of our Airbnb and sitting outside in the cold with babies. Plus your terribly rude customer service agent, Nick.
If you think we’ll let this slide, think again. Get your lawyers ready. I will fight this, if not for anything, for my innocent babies who suffered needlessly that day.

Our return order was messed up, leaving us stranded for almost 6 hours in an area we'd never been to. Customer service following this experience was below par and appalling.

Use this company at your own detriment. They have a wack website that gives wrong information to the driver then they blame you for booking the wrong time and then leave you stranded without apologies. If I could give 0 star,that's what they deserve.

Very poor and rude Customer Service!!! They will mess up your booking, offer terrible alternatives leaving you stranded for hours in the cold and accept no responsibilities for their incompetence. Rating = 0 - 10 + nothing! highly DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Update: what a joke of a reply, shooting yourselves right in the foot. Why should we be offered A PARTIAL refund knowing fully well we’re unlikely to find our way back after checking out of our accommodation because we had a contract of 10am???? In other words, you’re saying we be more out of pocket while you make and keep your profit.

FYI we contacted multiple transport companies but couldn’t find anyone willing to take us on such short notice.

I will tell you what you should have done since you’d rather act ignorant of your wrongs than do your actual jobs we paid you hard earned money for.

1. Arrange to get us a quick alternative ride with a company in Newquay if you could (fastastic service)

2. Apologise for the inconvenience and immediately get a driver on the way to us( We were checked out of accommodation) instead all we got was we either refund you half and you find your way or wait 4 hours for the driver.

You should clap for yourselves for such unpleasant service. Disgrace!

The trip was smooth and driver, Basit was friendly, helpful and courteous.

Will definitely use this service when in UK.

We drove about 600 miles. We were picked up on time on the way there by a Mercedes Vita. The driver was very friendly and often offered breaks. The driving style was great. The driver (this time a small KIA) for the return journey was late but also very polite and we arrived safely and can definitely recommend Coach Hire. The booking procedure was very easy and hands on.

Everything went well for all of us.
