Very poor experience – serious installation concerns and lack of communication

The project initially appeared promising during the design stage, but unfortunately the installation process was extremely problematic.

The installation teams appeared to be subcontractors and the quality of the work raised significant concerns. Issues I identified included minimal fixings between the SIPs roof and wall panels, glulam beams left unsecured, missing fixings in joist hangers, floors not level, and several SIPs panels installed out of plumb.

The first installer struggled to follow the drawings or basic measurements and the situation became very uncomfortable, which ultimately resulted in me asking him to leave site. A replacement team was then sent, however further issues continued to arise and I am still discovering defects that require rectification.

Communication from management was extremely poor throughout the process, with calls and emails largely going unanswered. I was also later informed that some of the installers involved had not been paid for work on my project, which added further concern about how the job had been handled.

Overall this was a very stressful experience and I would strongly advise anyone considering using this company to carry out very careful due diligence before proceeding.

I couldn't be happier with the work done by Sips Eco on the superstructure of our self-build home. From the beginning, Scott and their design team were professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. They handled the deliveries well, despite some access issues thanks to roadworks on our street! Sorry installers!

Jake and the site team were great. The installation process was smooth, and their attention to detail ensured that everything was completed to a high standard. The SIPs themselves are top-notch. I was also impressed with how quickly the house came together, allowing us to get on with the rest of the build sooner than we’d really expected.

Our experience with SIPs Eco Panels was a disaster from start to finish. The project was riddled with delays, and the build was completed incorrectly at multiple stages, requiring extensive corrections. Communication throughout the process was absolutely dreadful—our concerns were often ignored or met with hostility from management. Complaints were not handled professionally and instead provoked angry responses, leaving us frustrated and unheard.

The final product was subpar, requiring an untold amount of corrective work that has caused significant financial and emotional strain. SIPs Eco also failed to meet the commitments they had made, and the quality of the work was shockingly poor. We cannot recommend this company based on our experience.

Sips Eco need to work on their customer service and be honest about their capabilities as an installation company.
Sips Eco also need to respond to their communications in a timely manner and in line with their own commitments set out. Our latest response that they will look further into the issues has still not been completed some 4 weeks after Graeme said he would deal with it.
When a company produces hand over paper work in which they highlight problems that need fixing by the client, due to "poor installation" which was " attempted 3 times" by their company, it is outrageous that they do not respond appropriately and ignore you.
